OKAY SO what if Crane and Steve ended up becoming associates over 800 years? Perhaps not close family but the thought that they were at least friends/friendly with each other. Which can lead into them having a massive conflict over god stuff? Crane seemed quite amicable with Steve in their last thread and I imagine while he is still himself he keeps that up. But he ends up growing apathetic as he ends up depersonalised from his memories. He is perhaps one of the few who can read Steve without having a close connection given his training. They end up diametically opposed, etc etc.
