The first - their conflict regarding mortals - ties into both sets of blessings and afflictions wonderfully. Crane would become annoyed if Wrench started inferfering with his work - not because of personal reasons but because of the inefficency and impediment of his work. He is as patient as a god as he is mortal so if Wrench continues interfereing that will catch his eye more. It could be interesting for Wrench to learn all of the people he affects have wanted his help in some fashion [though let's be honest there's bound to be some who didn't ask for it but who he decided needed help anyway].
The second is interesting because they both have much in common. They're solitary, rarely venture outside their realm and do end up helping people. I can see it being a good fit for exploring the aftermath when their memories are returning, too. Since the other option might set them at odds more?

I'm game for whatever catches your eye, really!
