That all sounds perfect! He can have his own room in the library and it's always good for people to drag him out. I think Cid can help him understand how to USE New Magic/more tech because it's something he's really weak in and he wants to, so they can become close over that.

They can definitely have a fight about it. He's going to be extremely resistant and people are welcome to try and shake him out of it. Since Cid doesn't know him well pre-AU he can just remind him of what he does remember and the situation they were in before it went down, which will shake him if he has flashbacks.
