Al's perspective about religion very much started as "why the hell should an all powerful god obey the church and laws of men?" because that's what happens when you're culturally stuck in 1400s Catholicism and your mother gets burnt at the stake as a witch, but since being in Abraxas and witnessing the behavior of some of the gods, he's just you know what? I spent today poking at Al's actual powers, since I was waiting to see what other people came up with to keep his in line and avoid being OP'd, since his canon state runs that risk in the first place.
