i also think it could be really meaningful/great to just have someone who Understands Why This Is An Issue - because as sam kinda goes through his waves he's gonna end up coming up against his Other People who aren't going to really get it, and I feel like he and Cid could def have that kind of 'we connected hardcore so now we're friends who meet up every few months (in this case, every few decades) to get drinks and chat and its like no time has passed at all'

I think Sam's compromise is going to be smaller Projects or Events that he can focus on to work with/help, but it will really be the down time that will eat away at him (which.....no one is surprised) but also it will give him good reasons to go and check up on people

NOW MY QUESTION IS

with all this in mind....does cid have plans for the reawakening situation??? because that might be something that sam would want to talk to him about AND he could either help introduce the whole concept or they can just philosophize about it like old men???
