ABSOLUTELY NOT, it's bad for them all around!! Now that I'm back here after pondering this for a bit... would Altaïr have had any interest in Thorne? I think Claude would have kept a spiteful eye on Thorne after the Velan Republic was established since there's mention of there being generations who still wish for Thorne to take over and etc, so if it'd align there could be a chance for them to have fucked something up there. Maybe they accidentally brought judgment down on the wrong village or something like that? Or honestly we could also just keep it vague and refer to it as The Bad Thing too, for extra bad vibes
