geralt is hard to miss, visually, so i'm totally fine if you want him to be identified in some way. he'll be popping into the free cities.

if you were interested in a little potential cr kickstarted in the background, geralt would notice him tallying and just not do anything about it, but he would certainly remember this if they ever see each other in the future. but i can also just as easily have him not notice if you don't want this!
