Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it, in addition to any OOC notices from the mods. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

The Summoned Conclave is hosted in the comments section of each State of the Game. We'll provide the structure. Players are not obliged to participate, but we encourage you to do so! See here for details.

Overthrow | Link
A coup in the Kingdom of Thorne to overthrow the existing monarchy may be associated with a Heartwood attack on Cadens and angering the Old Gods in Solvunn, putting all on high alert. This is seen as a CALL TO WAR, but how all will respond is yet to be seen.

Kingdom of Thorne

Admiral Rudolph Sidwell, Lady Lia Sidwell
After spending weeks in the capitol city, Rudolph Sidwell instigated a coup de tat. Summoned and citizens are ushered into the castle's safe room and recruited to keep wards and supplies safe. King Brydan and Queen Ellya are executed under suspicious circumstances and loyalists within the Castle are done away with.

Ambrose and a few select Summoned are warned of this plot beforehand and flee to Nott, leaving Mace Hemmett to assume the position of High Mage.

In retaliation to the attack on Cadens, the Castle Thorne is under siege by powerful New Magic bombs. Human casualties are small, but much of the city's war horses have been destroyed.

The Free Cities

An attack in the Badlands indicates that Heartwood may be being used in warfare. The city is evacuated and Summoned and citizens are ushered into an underground bunker built by one of the other Summoned, volunteering to take care of the infirmed.

Fallon Marsh, Darras Vale
In a final attack on the Free Cities, the Treasury Cabinet is attacked, putting the economy of the Free Cities in upheaval. Fallon Marsh, Representative of Aquila, is one of the targets and succeeded by Darras Vale. Inflation and supply issues run rampant in the weeks that follow.

Solvunn Commune

After numerous strange occurrences in the wildlife, ominous red mist moves in and is seen as a warning from the Gods. Summoned, women, and children are sent to stay underground for their own protection while the men and Elders stay above to protect the commune.

Winifred Bordeaux
With the unanimous decision to protect the northern seas from Thorne's influence, Winifred sacrifices herself in a ceremony to the Dragon God of the Nether, Argus. A gigantic wall of water spans the sea to block any naval threats to the Tertiary Settlement.

The Council has reviewed the Conclave's proposal. They agree to allow the establishment of a central area where "jobs" can be posted and accepted. The Council will rely on Solvunn's sense of community to ensure everything runs smoothly! Delivery tasks can be assigned in a similar manner and may include escorting wagons of produce or other goods. In the rare case that there are disputes which can't be resolved, all parties involved are welcome to approach the Council or any Elders for advice.

In the Primary Settlement is an old stable that could use some fixing up. The Summoned and all participants can work together to build the posting board and repair the building that will be used as a central location for job postings. To assist with larger deliveries, they can also work together to build couple of usable carts. Once built, they may acquire and tend to one or two goats that will pull the carts. Division of labor will be left up to the community to decide.
