◎ Overview

When submitting your Activity Check, please keep in mind the following:

◎ A minimum of two threads with a brief summary for each thread is required.

◎ While there's no minimum comment count, Abraxas is a plot-centered game that requires a degree of thread progression. We expect threads to contain reasonable interactivity with other players. We may request supplementary proofs if interactivity is insufficient. For example, one reply to each proof posted late in the month, or early in the month then dropped, would not be enough. Previous activity patterns will be taken into account, as well.

◎ Backdated threads (from the previous month only) are acceptable, but the comments linked as proofs must take place during the current month. Although both proofs can be backdated, you're encouraged to submit at least one thread started in the current month whenever possible.

◎ TDM threads, network threads, and inbox threads are acceptable, but must not make up the total of both proofs (i.e. both proofs can't consist of only TDM threads). Additionally, at least one proof should be a log thread. Both proofs cannot be network-style comment spam.

◎ All players are expected to reply, including if you've submitted a hiatus. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from posting your AC, you may have another player comment with a proxy submission on your behalf.

Power or physical gain: Event - Amplify - Istredd will have the ability to boost/amplify other people's magic with a status effect. This will only be for PCs with permission from the player. If they are doing a spell, it will heighten their chances of the spell succeeding, and then strengthening the effect of the magic. The strength of the magic will grow as he gets better at it but never be over the top, just a boost. He can only help someone with one spell/magic act to start but with practice can lengthen the time of it working to 15 minutes.

Notable actions: Crane spent time counselling his patients. He encouraged them to discuss their supersitions about whispers - and continued using them to develop his new mindreading skill - but otherwise kept his thoughts to himself. Any who asked his opinion on superstitions were told superstitions evolved for a number of reasons and you cannot rid yourselves of them - but you can understand how to control your responses.

Power or physical gain: Event - Find Dogolfus - Cid is able to summon a big fluffy wolfdog to his side. The creature is a magical construct, but must retain a physical form that is indistinguishable from a normal wolf (with all of the same benefits/limitations). It seems to understand when Cid speaks to it, but has a will of its own; it doesn't always listen to him. If destroyed or dismissed, it can't be summoned again until the following day.
Notable actions: Cid has started recruiting people for his minor miner apprenticeship program - I haven't done an IC post for it yet though.

Power or physical gain: Event - Disguise self | Cassian will be able to disguise himself for about an hour (give or take). How convincing it is will probably have to come with more time and even during that hour, the disguise may drop or shift due to lack of experience wielding magic.
Notable actions: Moved to Nott with River and has been living his best Seinfield/New Girl life with the other Nott delinquents. He also keeps a rather low profile for obvious reasons.

Power or physical gain: Event - Artificer Infusion | I'd love Hilda to gain the ability to infuse items. While this can be accomplished via New Magic, it'd be neat if any infusion she completes remains in an item indefinitely. The items that she'll be able to apply them to will be simple items like swords, armor, robes, rings, necklaces, etc. At this stage she'd only be able to infuse two items (see Artificer table!) and each infusion can be in only one object at a time. No object can bear more than one infusion at a time. Any new infusions made after her allotted two will override one of the other ones. Somewhere down the line I'd like her to be able to infuse more items with more powerful infusions.

In regards to types of infusions, she'll stick to things like enhanced weapons or durability. Anything more advanced than that and I'll be sure to get in touch with the mod team. If there are more restrictions you'd like me to have on the ability, please let me know!

Regarding Artificer Infusion, with practice over time you can choose to have her learn to infuse more items or she may increase the number of infusions the object can hold.

Regardless, a projectile fired from a weapon will, on impact, detonate with a force capable of knocking a single target off their feet. It's equal to Rank 1 of the ability described in the link, and is limited to a few times daily use before recovery is necessary (max 4).

Power gain: Event - Invoke Memory: Through physical touch, River can give someone a glimpse of their own memory as she reads it from their thoughts. This manifests as a sort of flashback, as if the target is briefly reliving the moment itself. The clarity of this vision depends on the target's own recollection of the memory, but they may see, hear, and/or feel what they were experiencing at the time. If the target does not remember this moment themselves, River can invoke the memory to give them a very faint impression of what happened until the ability becomes strong enough to show the actual event. The memory must be a real event in the target's history; it cannot be altered or falsified in any way.

As this ability develops further, the visions become longer and more vivid regardless of the target's own recollection. In its initial starting form, it only lasts for a few seconds with a limited impression of the memory, eg. a brief visual flashback or the distant sound of someone's voice. In its final form, the vision can last for up to five minutes with full clarity of how the target experienced that event. River must maintain physical contact with the target for the duration of the spell. She can only cast it on one target at a time, and it can only be used once per target per day.

-- I know this is pretty complex so pls let me know if it can be nerfed or changed somehow! I figured, River can already see other people's memories, what if she can make them see it too (๑･̑◡･̑๑) If what I described is a little beyond a normal event gain, I think something like Calm Emotions might be close to the effect she would've been trying to have by reminding people of better days.
Notable actions: River went to Borrel with Kyle, Thancred, and Lucifer to help them navigate toward any dead bodies or ship wreckage they could find. She also did this month's quest with Wilhelm and the Thorne Teen Squad. And of course, she moved to Nott with Cassian and is currently crashing with Yennefer, Thancred, and Stephen.

Regarding her ability, River may do this once per day and to begin with she must have IC permission from the subject before she can successfully do it. As she learns to control it, she may trigger it without explicit permission (OOC player permission should of course be obtained!)
