Important Notices

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-border CR here. Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing territories will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ We will be posting the newsletter soon!

A Look Ahead

The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 11th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 14th. The event will involve spooky themes as well as more lighthearted festivities related to Eifstide. In-person cross-territory interactions will be available through Nocwich during the event.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: iris comes from a scifi-fantasy webcomic about an alternate future earth where there are humans born with powers. these humans are called demiflora and are categorized into different types of flora by their abilities. for example, iris is an iris demiflora (i know... he knows...) who have the ability to physically manifest illustrations. demiflora are regularly hunted so many hide away in secluded settlements or reside within The Tower. he's spent all of his life in said tower, where other demiflora are kept safe on the condition they suppress their powers. iris, however, Does Not Listen to Orders Very Well. his author has conveniently summed iris and his story up as "what if rapunzel but gay and with dystopian fantasy?"
CR YOU WANT: of course there is the standard everything, but some things off the top of my head—

• older parental figures because his mom SUCKs and he's never known his dad
• role models because someone needs to wrangle this wildchild down and/or enable it tbh heh
• people who need to be enabled... he's a Good Boy but he can definitely be a bad influence over certain things lamsdakl ah
• fRIENDS... pls the only friend he's ever known wound up ditching him because he grew to fear iris' power
• crushes
• lol no i'm kidding
• actually yeah, crushes :')
• just the opportunity to have NORMAL TEENAGER EXPERIENCES would be swell man
• anyone who would be able to give him some validation and/or sense of value in his powers
• people who can understand his complicated emotions about having a fear of their powers/potential, specifically in the sense of the violence that can come from it
• fellow nerds! inventors and artists alike!

CR YOU DON'T WANT: i don't exactly go into situations looking for negative cr but i will not neglect it if it happens (and it can! iris can be very stubborn and also he's so so bad at listening when he's being told What's Best For Him)
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: mostly i am hoping to get iris situated into this big new world. he's only ever really known the small community of his Tower, and even then he was very isolated in it. i'd love for him to start forging relationships that will make him want to be invested in this new place (though it probably won't be very hard at all, considering his alternative was literally turning himself in to a group of mercenaries that would have surely exploited him for his powers). honestly, just having any kind of relationships at all would be novel for him laksdjaljd. iris is still very very very lucy-goosey with his powers, but there is an underlying fear that he will one way lose control and hurt someone so themes around that would be lovely to explore too!

HELLO AND WELCOME. I am Dee, I play three here, I'm canonblind but I'm excited to get to know him! I'm theskyisnew on Plurk!

Istredd here is one of the prominent folks in Thorne, he's from the Witcher. He's an expert mage and professional nerd extraordinaire. He has been a parental figure to some of the younger folks being near a hundred, so he can be that for Iris if it feels right. He's awkward about it but a nice fellow overall.

I have Jesper Fahey from Shadow and Bone (the books) at itookashot. He's a charming friendly sort from the Free Cities and he loves people so he'll chatter away at Iris if given the chance. He's a former gangster and sort of a bad boy, but he's a pretty decent artist and a fashion designer. They might find common ground there!

I also have Julia Wicker divinityfrompain over in Solvunn, she's a down-to-earth witch/goddess who feels very strongly about her magic/powers and would provide warm reassurance to people in that area!

hello dee, tysm for the welcome! and ah what a great cast, it really does seem like there's something to pick at for everybody 👀 i know there's an event coming up but i'd be happy to get iris meaning any or all of yours before or during it!

istredd's prowess with his magic and nerdom would definitely appeal to iris. he'd gravitate towards someone like him for sure, for both guidance and just general nerddom tbh. iris' preferred nerdiness is inventing/engineering/fashion (looking at you, jesper!) but he's also been fairly deprived of actual Fun Stuff (like media... fiction!!) so there's that to explore too! and julia ;; iris had both a great and terrible female figures in his life, but both never gave him the confidence he so desperately sought out re: his powers, so that could be really cool!

Kyle is in Thorne and an elder gay (by which I mean he's in his early to mid-thirties). He remembers being a rebellious youth, or as rebellious as you get when being raised by a religious cult to be an assassin-priest, so he could possibly fit into a role model spot! He's also looking for new couriers, they have bicycles (down with the horse agenda!!) and his current romantic partner designed them so if he's curious about them or nerd inventor stuff he can point Iris to him!

Also! Iris' power sounds similar to his roommate's, Jack, who can just... conjure random things out of thin air. So, a few different threads to explore or other potential CR he could point him to!

but! kyle and his courier service was actually brought up by wilhelm during the tdm, so iris is already aware of him for sure! iris is both an engineer and inventor, except his powers lets him go straight from blueprints to actual product so he definitely skips a few steps. he'd love to help both kyle and victor out sometime, if they want/need it... 👉👈

thancred's in thorne (though he lives in nott) and more than that, he adopted a teenage girl with special powers that led to her being locked up in a tower so this is my way of saying that he and iris need to meet.
