[With one hand caressing his jaw, Jasper remains in deep thought about his predicament. This strange land has introducted him to all sorts of interesting people; plenty of them stolen away from home like himself. He closes his eyes and struggles to shut the door on his emotions. Here, he is surrounded by strangers who know nothing of his crimes. It is a freedom he hardly deserves - and yet his heart aches in the knowledge he remains an outsider.
