After pitting their Summoned against one another in an attempt to vie for the greatest control over the caskets and the Singularity, and being further spurred on by Goro's march on Solvunn, the three factions have finally made their stance...and invited all to a Summit! Tensions are high and with the outcome of the Dimming being so even, it only makes sense that everyone would extend a hand in peace and understanding.

There is nothing to worry about.

All the Summoned will be given the opportunity to travel to a remote location near the Singularity for the weekend. The event will take place ICly from February 18th through February 21st. Participation is voluntary but the respected faction leaders highly encourage their Summoned to make their presence known. After all, whoever has the highest representation likely has the most loyal open-minded Summoned.

A key purpose of this event, in addition to allowing inter-faction mingling between all characters, is that CHARACTERS MAY CHANGE FACTIONS AT THIS STAGE IF THEY WISH and no one will (overtly) stop them. During the Summit, every faction will be trying to win over the Summoned to either join their side or keep them from switching sides. This is not explicitly stated nor will anyone admit to it being the case, but there is a sense that the Summoned are being wooed.

Can my character leave the event early?

Absolutely! Characters can leave through their designated faction exits whenever they like. However, once they leave, they cannot return to the event. Those who want to stay for the duration of the Summit must remain in the area and use the tents as their temporary quarters.

What will my character be told if they ask to leave the boundaries?

Characters will be told that it's for their own safety that they can't leave the area. They are out in the open wilderness, so there's no telling what dangers might lurk.

How many raffle tickets can my character purchase?

ICly, characters can purchase as many as they can afford. OOCly, we ask players to submit just one raffle entry per player (not per character) for the prizes, in order to keep things fair!

Can the faction pin be removed? What happens if characters try?

The faction pin cannot be removed. It's magically attached to characters and will only dislodge once they step through the portal to return home. Attempting to remove it before then will yield no results.

How are characters assigned tents/sleeping quarters?

Characters are not assigned to any tent, nor are they required to stay in a single tent. As long as they are welcome by those already inside, they can come and go between tents as they please! Players are encouraged to do the same and to work out their tentmates with each other for CR purposes if they so choose. There are enough tents for everyone to sleep comfortably.

My character was a prisoner of Thorne. Will they be imprisoned if they want to return to Thorne?

Characters who were originally imprisoned by Thorne may switch factions back to Thorne without risk of punishment. They will be granted amnesty and will be offered the same treatment as any of the current welcomed Summoned.

I doubt there will be free time for meditation but am curious! In any case, I presume being close to the Singularity means characters are being monitored and visits and meditation are not possible at this time?

Is your character open to convincing others to join them or to leave a faction? he's not looking to move and though he has been very supportive and has a title of the free cities, he's got complicated emotions re: the current state of affairs. he's happy to discuss each faction and why people are trying to switch/move/side with one, but it's more for information gathering than actually trying to convince anyone. he's not entirely sure he believes any of these government officials but atm he doesn't disagree with what anyone has been saying, so he'll keep to himself.

important things to note: nothing sam does or say will be against the free cities and their interests. he's got complicated thoughts, but in an event like this, he's not going to be talking about them. if anything, he's going to be extremely welcoming and friendly and happy to talk about whatever - he just not gonna be in mega recruitment mode.

General Plans: sam is going to be. pretty much everywhere during this event. less to talk about the free cities and more to just make connections with everyone, remind them that THEY'RE ALL FRIENDS HERE, OKAY. ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. this means drinks, games, events, parties - he's gonna have a big group dinner at some point with his besties and will be going out of his way to meet ANYONE AND EVERYONE HE DOESN'T KNOW. anyone remember the barbeque? this will be worse (better).

General Plans:
- Given that he's so new, he'll be exploring all around the Summit to learn as much about the other two factions as he can, and probably will not hesitate to strike up conversations with just about anyone. This is a great opportunity to get some cross-faction CR before going back to relying on the Horizon, so I'd love to do that!
- He will definitely be checking out those guns in the Free Cities section.
- He'll also be extremely curious about the shrine of Lyfbringr in the Solvunn section and open to conversation about that. He knows a thing or two about old gods by now.
- Also open to hang outs at the lounge tavern, he'll be down for darts or dice games too! And drinking, maybe...
- Thancred has zero qualms about being naked around other people and will also definitely enjoy those communal baths while he has the chance!
- He's going to try and catch the creature with Himeka so if they fail he will be constantly glowing. Love it. He'll probably make jokes at his own expense about it while secretly hating it YOU CAN'T BE SNEAKY LIKE THIS.

Only if you have some solid CR with him, since his motivation will be purely to keep people he cares about nearby/safe and not to do with matters of faction alignment. He doesn't really trust any of the factions and won't make that a secret, but again, that's only partly to do with the factions themselves. Most of it is just his general perception of kingdoms and governments as a whole.

Are you looking for tentmates? Geralt's likely to be wherever Jaskier and Ciri are, but beyond that, nothing's set in stone. He probably won't sleep much during this thing, anyway. Does he ever

General Plans: I'd really like Geralt to meet people he hasn't been able to in person! This includes new and old CR alike. Mostly he'll be hanging around to observe so he'll be pretty easy to catch just about anywhere. I may or may not get him glitter bombed.

I am very open for communal bath and lounge shenanigans, as well as late night tent shenanigans.

Additionally, the Queen is showing her face, and Geralt was kidnapped and tortured by her like. 3 months ago, so he's just gonna be [ stares directly into the camera ] about it during that whole ass speech. Yennefer is also going to be here and we're just not gonna talk about that. :)

Because this whole thing is so public, Geralt is likely to just be chilling, but those who know him well might notice he's occasionally distracted due to the above items. He will be in the lounge, drinking, every night.

General Plans: She's going to chase after the little escapee creature with Thancred but I'm definitely up for any shenanigans that may result in that and sharing with others. (I kind of hope they fail.) He looks like a criminal and I love him.

Also finally excited to have an opportunity to talk to people in the other factions as well. She's happy to share information! She sees all the Summoned as being "in it together".

Probably not. Politics is not his bag and he’s going to be rolling his eyes at a lot of this, but he’d be happy to talk about his first few weeks in Cadens to any interested parties. He’s extremely objective.

Ya sure he’s probably a good roommate as long as you don’t mind someone barging into the tent at like 4am, sleeping for 3 hours and then vanishing again. I, however, am all about random and awkward CR so throw whatever at me I can take it.

General Plans: For the most part I'd like for Dante to just be vibing and get a feel for what all the factions are about, so ideally I'd like to pop in on other TL's to just poke his nose into other people's shenanigans. He's a great person to go to for snarky commentary, but doesn't have any real set opinions on Abraxas politics as of yet.

He WILL be spending some time in the bath because that's a luxury he does not often have. Preferably chilling and seeing if he can have frilly drinks at the same time. That is best case scenario for him.

Dante is definitely going to try his hand at the Pondering Orb and giving the weird Solvunn god a side-eye. This is just his first real opportunity to mingle with people so HAVE AT ME.

Do you want others to sway your character to another faction? They can try, he'll listen to their arguments and pretend to be intrigued. But he's pretty cozy in the nation of science since he is a scientist (and also a mage but he loves the sciences).

Is your character open to convincing others to join them or to leave a faction? He might try to convince people to leave a faction if he smells an opportunity for mayhem but he doesn't really care about adding to the Free Cities. If he doesn't get a bite, he won't keep trying.

Are you looking for tentmates? Fandaniel doesn't sleep. He probably won't be spending time in the tents unless forced to. If your character is a night owl or also doesn't sleep they may find him just exploring the area and staring pensively into the sky.

General Plans: He is completely new so he has no hard plans. He's just here to people watch and understand his new situation a little better. Expect to see him in his hooded cloak just staring and watching. He might try to walk away and vanish if approached but if anyone calls out to him he'll stay put.

Otherwise he's just lounging around, generally keeping a low profile but not actively hiding anywhere either. He might hang out around the communal areas, including the baths.

Be warned: The man, despite being dodgy, loves the sound of his own voice. If you try to engage him in conversation he WILL start monologuing, he's very good at saying nothing while talking non stop. It's very annoying.

If anyone wants to teach him to access the Horizon I am down for that as well. Expect lots of chaos depression energy if he is successfully brought there through meditation.

OPT-OUT: He is outwardly affable and full of flamboyant energy but internally in despair and suicidal. This could come up if you keep interacting with him. If this could be uncomfortable for you his opt-out is here

General Plans:

Be Respectful: Jasper is hardly a pleasant man. The opposite of a people pleaser with a notable lack of patience. I would love to have said patience tested by all this encouragement to be nice.

Free Cities: Hungry for power and ambitious to match, Jasper was the leader of a powerful military. He will be fascinated by new technologies and how the Free Cities operate. Does that make him a good target?

Communal Baths: Jasper will certainly be frequenting the bathhouse. He will be lounging around until he resembles a wrinkled prune

Is your character open to convincing others to join them or to leave a faction? Hendrik will be very much in the camp of simply observing. He isn't looking to convince others, but he will say that he's been treated well in Thorne since arriving if asked.

Are you looking for tentmates? Not necessarily tentmates, but maybe ... tent neighbors?! Apologies if Hendrik happens to snore very loudly one night.

General Plans:
- As mentioned above, Hendrik will be observing and trying to learn about the other factions. He's pretty straightforward and won't hesitate to say that he's not interested in faction politics if someone tries to convince him. Along those same lines, he won't be offended if anyone starts badmouthing Thorne while conversing.

- He will definitely be looking at all the different sections, carefully participating in the activities. Solvunn's booths will especially call to his nostalgia, being from farmlands as a child, so he may linger there quite a bit.

- I'd love to have him meet more people -- from his own faction and beyond! He's not terribly social despite being respectful and speaking rather formally, so the different situation may help with sparking conversation. He might be curious to know if others are being told they were summoned as "heroes" by other factions.

- Early morning exercising and bathing? Can't keep him away from training for too long, even if it's just pushups and swinging around a large branch if training weapons aren't around.

Samus Aran | Strength

She might consider Solvunn if a very compelling argument is made about the peace and quiet of being a forest hobo, but likely she won't go anywhere just yet. She's still new and taking in everything, so she'll have an open ear, if not to at least get a bead on things.

Are you looking for tentmates? YEAH force her to socialize, please. She sleeps lightly, has nightmares sometimes, and has little shame in her body so maybe Scar Stories can be a thing.

General Plans: The speeches aren't going to do much for Samus and this mingling will mostly be her just casually vibe-checking the other factions. BUT! She'll be very interested in Thorne's magick demonstrations since she's been slightly dismissive and is typically a very Hard Science person. It'll sink in after this event that magic is definitely it's own thing. She will probably pass on the pondering orb, however, lamenting that she, alas, can not be the orb right now. She'll be super into Free Cities' old-style guns. Samus is also swayed by food and animals so she might loiter around Solvunn's section a bit too hanging out with the baby goats.

Probably will spend most of her time in the Neutral Section at the tavern and communal baths. I also signed her up for some benny hill shenanigans chasing the escaped creature so if anyone wants to team up, I'm into that.

Basically I'm just very excited for a lot of establishing CR and getting her to meet people she hasn't yet, and continuing what CR she started!

General Plans: Amos finds this whole thing to be rather fake and doesn't trust a word those in power are saying; he's pretty sure war is still coming. That said, he doesn't care and is absolutely down to just vibe. Especially with alcohol involved.

Now, as for faction stuff...

- Thorne's an automatic no-go for Amos. They kept him imprisoned for months, fuck those guys. He isn't going to their section or anything.

- Outside of the neutral section, the most likely place to find Amos is going to be the Free Cities'. He has not been around proper tech in so long, and while this is a far cry from what he's used to, it's better than nothing. He loves the guns the most. Anyway, it'll be pretty obvious to anyone paying attention to him that dude is enamoured with everything here, which brings me to...

- Amos won't be so easily convinced to just join the Free Cities because, in part due to the Goro of it all, he recently approached Solvunn council about finding out if they have a plan in place to protect the commune's kids in the event of war and was subsequently put in charge of a small group of people to make sure the kids are safe. He's a bit baffled that this responsibility was put on him but he takes it very seriously, to the point where he will forego his own personal comfort to make sure it's done.

This is where my uncertainty re: faction changes come in. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's probably going to take a lot, and as I write this I don't know what that would have to entail.

Leonard McCoy | The Lovers

Alucard's perspective is generally favorable towards the Free Cities, mostly because he's been allowed to be a fairly low key and left alone person, which he has needed pretty badly. (But also, fuck Thorne.)

Are you looking for tentmates? Nominally yes, although Alucard is more likely to wolf out and sleep outside.

General Plans: (Anything else!)
--Lots of quiet observation and taking advantage of the neutral areas
--Will be pretty pointedly avoiding the Thorne section of things because he is still salty about how he arrived here and he still wants to at least do some violence at some point. (But not here and now, he's not an idiot.)
--He'll definitely have an interest in Solvunn's section, but more because it seems polite. Will he be food shopping? Abso-fucking-lutely.
--If the communal baths are empty, Alucard will probably slip in. But will just as quickly become a series of bats and leave if anyone else joins him. Follow the bats?

tl;dr Alucard is in a slightly healthier space mentally that he can be mildly social and is here out of curiosity rather than real dedication. Ask him about his graveyard restoration work or his new historical preservation project! He likes architecture.

Emet isn't super invested in Solvunn, but has a long history of swaying people's opinions to his purposes, and if people seem either interested in Solvunn specifically or disinterested in their own faction, he'd be more than willing to gently lean on that.

Are you looking for tentmates? Nope, though he'll take notice of people in nearby tents, if people want to get some CR that way!

General Plans: Emet is mostly going to be chilling and checking out what the various factions have brought to the table! He will be particularly interested in the magic displays from Thorne (since he didn't really get much of a chance to dig too much into that prior to leaving for Solvunn) and the assorted technology of the Free Cities, and will be more than glad to talk tech or science with anyone else who might be doing likewise.

His shoebill familiar will also likely be lurking around and being vaguely unsettling.

Are you switching factions? Nah, Goro's got a fairly solid powerbase in Cadens so there's no incentive for him to jump ship, especially with all the war agitating he's been doing.

Is your character open to convincing others to join them or to leave a faction? That said, he'll absolutely try to encourage others to defect to the Free Cities by citing their magitek, and military might as justification.

General Plans: He's not going to be a happy camper about this "peace" summit after all his hard work agitating for war, so expect a lot of angry drinking in the tavern during the evenings, maybe hoping someone will start something. He can also be found in the baths but will likely keep to himself unless someone decides to poke him.

In the Free Cities Pavilion Goro will be examining the selection of guns with some interest and ask how they might be integrated into other types of equipment...

- Jaskier can be found anywhere, as he will be interested in going through all three sections and sticking his nose into every pie. (Or is it fingers? It's noses this time.)
- He can be most frequently found in the lounge and bathhouse.
- He'll see this as a good opportunity to spread his name, so will likely be performing where he can. He will definitely make sure he performs The Lonely Mountain King, which any Thorneans might recognize as he made it a hit when he was in Thorne some months ago. (Yes, it's about Kylo Ren being hot.)
- Jaskier will likely have some birds on/around him that will be eavesdropping for him, but otherwise they just act like normal birds. They might steal your sandwiches. Don't be mean to them, they're cute.
- He will also be trying to advertise a new flower stand he's planning on raising in Cadens. If you want to buy some flowers to sway new faction-mates to your sexy little faction, he's your man.
