EVENT #6: PEACE ON THE HORIZON (OOC)

Event #6 - PLOTTING POST

After pitting their Summoned against one another in an attempt to vie for the greatest control over the caskets and the Singularity, and being further spurred on by Goro's march on Solvunn, the three factions have finally made their stance...and invited all to a Summit! Tensions are high and with the outcome of the Dimming being so even, it only makes sense that everyone would extend a hand in peace and understanding.

There is nothing to worry about.

All the Summoned will be given the opportunity to travel to a remote location near the Singularity for the weekend. The event will take place ICly from February 18th through February 21st. Participation is voluntary but the respected faction leaders highly encourage their Summoned to make their presence known. After all, whoever has the highest representation likely has the most loyal open-minded Summoned.

A key purpose of this event, in addition to allowing inter-faction mingling between all characters, is that CHARACTERS MAY CHANGE FACTIONS AT THIS STAGE IF THEY WISH and no one will (overtly) stop them. During the Summit, every faction will be trying to win over the Summoned to either join their side or keep them from switching sides. This is not explicitly stated nor will anyone admit to it being the case, but there is a sense that the Summoned are being wooed.

If you want to switch factions, please reply to this comment over on the IC event post.
Plotting Form
Feel free to use this short form to make plans for this event, including whether or not you're interested in helping others switch factions, if you plan on switching factions, or if you just want buddies for the bathing pool.

Questions and Answers

If after reading these you're still unsure about anything, or your question wasn't covered, please feel free to hit up our Questions thread below!

Can my character leave the event early?
Absolutely! Characters can leave through their designated faction exits whenever they like. However, once they leave, they cannot return to the event. Those who want to stay for the duration of the Summit must remain in the area and use the tents as their temporary quarters.
What will my character be told if they ask to leave the boundaries?
Characters will be told that it's for their own safety that they can't leave the area. They are out in the open wilderness, so there's no telling what dangers might lurk.
How many raffle tickets can my character purchase?
ICly, characters can purchase as many as they can afford. OOCly, we ask players to submit just one raffle entry per player (not per character) for the prizes, in order to keep things fair!
Can the faction pin be removed? What happens if characters try?
The faction pin cannot be removed. It's magically attached to characters and will only dislodge once they step through the portal to return home. Attempting to remove it before then will yield no results.
How are characters assigned tents/sleeping quarters?
Characters are not assigned to any tent, nor are they required to stay in a single tent. As long as they are welcome by those already inside, they can come and go between tents as they please! Players are encouraged to do the same and to work out their tentmates with each other for CR purposes if they so choose. There are enough tents for everyone to sleep comfortably.
My character was a prisoner of Thorne. Will they be imprisoned if they want to return to Thorne?
Characters who were originally imprisoned by Thorne may switch factions back to Thorne without risk of punishment. They will be granted amnesty and will be offered the same treatment as any of the current welcomed Summoned.

tbh i think as soon as thancred realized that fandaniel was around he'd feel compelled to APPROACH, especially since he's from after the aitiascope and all that so i guess it's a question of when he might first be able to notice him! he will be running into himeka immediately after the speeches but anything after that is open

Fandaniel after the speech is creeping around watching people and turning invisible if they come after him but if anyone calls out to him he will appear and chat them up.

Alternatively: He annoys people trying to relax in the baths and he wanders around at night.

If you want a lighter sort of interaction with Fandaniel being dodgy and annoying Thancred by flitting around booths you'd want to run into him during the day! At night he broods and stares at stars. He'll still be a troll but you know. A quieter, more pensive troll.

Maybe we should go through a during the day one just so neither of them can get TOO out of control? (And yet... they still may, lmfao.) I think Ascians aside, Thancred knows quite a bit more about Fandaniel than Himeka does at her canonpoint, so it would definitely be interesting.
endcaller: I made all these icons. Feel free to use them if you want to. (Default)

That works for me! If you want you can go my top level here and Prompt A. I can also set up a new closed thread if you'd prefer a different starter.

I went for it, so let me know if that works! Figured that Fandaniel would be open to a bit of trolling if he's going invisible, but if it doesn't jive I can always edit. o7
