IC INFORMATION

CHARACTER NAME: Sasarai
CANON: Suikoden
SIGN: Judgement
FACTION: Thorne

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Sasarai is a bishop of Holy Harmonia making him a big deal where he comes from. He's used to commanding a lot of authority and is fond of playing Machiavellian political mind games. While he is used to war, he doesn't care for it and much prefers peace. He will do whatever he can to prevent loss of life, and he is willing pursue the olive branch with a bayonet if he has to.

In terms of basic interaction he's laid back and sarcastic and can be mean without always intending to be and also while intending to be.

Right now he's working through an existential crisis, having just learned that he is a clone created to be a host to the True Earth Rune. Said Rune, basically a sentient god crystal embedded in his body, makes him a powerful geomancer and it has stopped his aging. While he may look like he's vaguely about 16/17 he's actually 32 and is a 32 year old in everything but appearance.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

-Sasarai does well with themes of war, religion and politics.
-Do political Machiavellian schemes with him, he's very cunning.
-He was a bit of a spymaster back home.
-He's been studying the Singularity's power on the earth
-He is loyal to Thorne because he feels that in Thorne he can do the most good. He wants to maintain peace for the sake of all Summoned.
-He's kind of a fascist but is slowly reconsidering his stance on some things after finding out he was lied to about his own identity his whole life.
-Speaking of, themes of identity. He has opinions.

BUT YES i think we had talked about getting these two to meet since thorne peeps have gotta stick together, so we should try to get something going on that front soon!

Harmonia is basically the Holy See of Ishgard, circa the Heaven's Ward, with the foreign policy of Garlemald.

And I am definitely down for them meeting! Sasarai is pretty outgoing so running into him is easy. He spends most of his time in the libraries.

CANON: Final Fantasy XIV: A True Story of Bank Heists, Ice Hockey, Transylvanian Pelt Smuggling, Moonlighting Detectives, and Broken Hearts
SIGN: The Hanged Man
FACTION: Free Cities

CHARACTER INFORMATION: A sadistic, nihilistic mad scientist so consumed by despair and self loathing that he intends to kill himself and take the whole world with him.

Fandaniel is patient and cunning and always scheming. Some schemes only exist to obfuscate bigger schemes.

Outwardly he presents himself as an eccentric, flamboyant, affable fellow. Despite his intention to eventually kill literally everyone, Fandaniel is not the sort of villain who will just attack people on sight. Unless someone really sets him off most characters can interact with him and be perfectly safe. He's insatiably curious so he is more interested in talking at most people, not fighting them. (He'd arrange an unfortunate accident if wanted someone dead.)

CR YOU WANT: People to get caught up in his schemes, fellow villains, angry heroes, anything, really.
CR YOU DON'T WANT: Shipping will not happen with this guy. He hates everyone and he hates himself.
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

-Fandaniel is a scientist so he is very interested in doing science all over the Free Cities. His specialties are cloning and aetherochemistry.
-Political scheming! He doesn't tend to present himself as the face of a movement but he will fund or secretly back people who will further his goals of causing mayhem.
-He is pro war. War distracts people and will make people more willing to fund his research.
-Actively researching the Singularity.
-VERY interested in the Horizon! Are you a new arrival to the Free Cities? He will take you there. Watching people with no memories do acts of creation fascinates him. He can glean as much about your character from watching them as you want him to.
-Theatrical and dances a lot.

WOL has now been alerted to his presence thanks to Thancred, though I am planning on canon updating her soon! So soon-ish they should meet in some capacity.

I look forward to it! He isn't entirely aware she's here but even once he learns he won't have many strong opinions about it (I swear, of all the villains in FFXIV Fandaniel seems to lean on the Warrior of Light the least, they're just another pawn to the dude).

Obviously I am excited for FFXIV-tastic drama but this at least means she can plot against him without him aggressively stalking her or anything.

Honestly she prefers it that way LMAO. Zenos would give her a headache in another way. But she still thinks a Fandanny problem is her problem. She can't imagine he's been sitting on his hands over there in the FC...

I'm totally up for doing the Horizon thing we planned this month if you are!

Absolutely! I need to get off my ass and finish Fancy Dan's Horizon writeup.

we will have these two interact this month, be it through the horizon or depending on what the event will bring. :>

i'm also like *sighs* cuz i feel like i'm waiting on multiverse of madness to see on what end (good vs bad/angry) wanda will fall, but we can definitely play round with the mostly 'dissatisfied hero' scope of things.

How would you feel about him giving her gentle nudges towards the dark side over time?

oh, please. i love playing with the will-she-won't-she of her character arc.
