There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Sasarai is a bishop of Holy Harmonia making him a big deal where he comes from. He's used to commanding a lot of authority and is fond of playing Machiavellian political mind games. While he is used to war, he doesn't care for it and much prefers peace. He will do whatever he can to prevent loss of life, and he is willing pursue the olive branch with a bayonet if he has to.

In terms of basic interaction he's laid back and sarcastic and can be mean without always intending to be and also while intending to be.

Right now he's working through an existential crisis, having just learned that he is a clone created to be a host to the True Earth Rune. Said Rune, basically a sentient god crystal embedded in his body, makes him a powerful geomancer and it has stopped his aging. While he may look like he's vaguely about 16/17 he's actually 32 and is a 32 year old in everything but appearance.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Jayce is a genius scientist who along with his partner Viktor created Hextech in his world, a combination of technology and magic inventions. He is also an engineer and blacksmith. Jayce is a passionate and emotional person, he can't lie to save his life, he is very genuine and sincere, he wears his heart on his sleeve, and he craves validation and respect. He always means well but his short-sightedness (and inclination to let other people influence his choices) recently led him to make a serious and fatal mistake (not spoiling, please watch Arcane). So you know. That happened. He is a hot mess of a person and really just wants to hang out, do science, learn how to do all the magic ever (he's obsessed with magic and now he can do it sobs), and find a way to save Viktor's life. 
CR YOU WANT: I'm open to everything! Jayce is actually pretty good with people and he likes connecting with others. He loves collaboration. He'll be interested in anyone who knows something about healing magic. He is a blacksmith so he will be a very good resource after he gets settled here if you want your character to have an in somewhere to create things. He is going to apprentice/freelance early on to prove himself and get started. Come at me with anything!
CR YOU DON'T WANT: He is emotionally taken so he's not interested in anything romantic or physical with other people, but all other CR is on the table and encouraged!
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Jayce has wanted his entire life to be able to use magic to the point where he created something that could channel it. So anyone who wants to magic with him, he would love it. Also he is generally interested in creating a version of Hextech here with Viktor and yeah, anything above. Some day you might be able to pull him into politics or a bigger picture situation here, but for now he is firmly on the 'no no no la la la' side.

Viktor is a scientist-slash-genius engineer-slash-BIG NERD. He's spent the last 6-7 years developing magitech with his research partner (WHO IS HERE NOW), which has not necessarily played out as he would have hoped, with much of his work being co-opted by rich people who are only interested in doing rich people things. He comes off as a fussy academic but is actually an agent of chaos who loves to break rules and do weird science and ponder orbs. Despite his general penchant for putting himself in danger by screwing around with unknown forces he does not fully understand and can't control, he is an idealistic, highly principled individual who believes that the purpose of scientific advancement is to improve lives. He’s soft-spoken but quietly ambitious, intellectually curious, and kind of an obsessive workaholic who is increasingly preoccupied with his own legacy. He's pretty sure becoming a wizard will fix all of his problems.

I have an info and permissions post here and his app is here for further reading. Also a general heads up that Viktor is terminally ill—I content warn accordingly when relevant, but he basically has Fantasy Consumption and the desire to Not Die is a large part of his character motivation at his current canon point. I have an opt out if you’d like me to avoid mentioning this in tags or you would rather not interact with him at all. Comments are screened!

CR YOU WANT:

✷ Science types, baybe. He hangs around the Cadens academies and likes to be in tune with the general scientific goings-on of the city. If you’re an engineer or a mechanic or another scientifically-inclined individual he would like to connect and swap notes! Also, you know, people to do weird magitech experiments with?? Technologically-inclined people to mentor??? He has, like, an undisclosed number of degrees and likes to talk about math and physics and stuff.
✷ BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS. He wants to connect with people who can do things that he cannot, like go out on dangerous adventures and acquire exciting resources and bring him cool things. IN RETURN: He can fix your shit. He can make you stuff, provided it's not guns!

✷ All of his work involves faking magic via technological methods so he’s very jazzed about the real thing. His fancy new Horizon power is identify, which means he can determine the magical properties of something by touching it. He can do this. For you!!! Beyond that he is testing his fancy little magic conduit in his Horizon (so that he can build a new one in the real world) if you want to stop by and say hi and ask him what the hell he’s doing.
✷ Before arriving here Viktor was about to, uh, do some illegal little human experimentation (on himself) with the aforementioned little magic conduit he built. He is trying to do this or similar with whatever he can get his hands on around here. He HATES politics but he is currently taking money from unsavory individuals (Goro) mostly because he doesn't want to die. He’s trying to keep this under wraps with the hope that what he’s making is actually too esoteric for anyone but him to use (also he feeds it his blood), but I’m totally down for people finding this out and berating him about this, because it is definitely QUESTIONABLE.
✷ He’s very obsessed with how Cadens is, like, right on the cusp of a bunch of technological breakthroughs and he’s interested in moving those along, especially if said breakthroughs have obvious humanitarian benefits. The hope is to get him established in the Cadens academia/inventor scene, because, you know, that is what he is good at. If anyone wants to collab with him on inventing electricity, or, like, a combustion engine, he's into that.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: A neurosurgeon who hurt his hands, sought out a way to fix them, and became Earth's Sorcerer Supreme (for a time). Isn't life just funny that way? Stephen feels the weight of multiversal responsibilities and it's his job to protect his Earth’s reality, while occasionally breaking the laws of space-time because, you know. Sometimes you gotta. 90 percent responsible, 10 percent yolo. Stephen is often dry and sarcastic, and constantly Tired, but he is very willing to help those around him and find creative solutions to difficult problems. Not always a people-person, but paradoxically a bleeding heart when it comes to those desperately in need. Intelligent, stubborn, kind of nosy, and committing everyone’s business to memory. A magic nerd and medical science nerd.
CR YOU WANT:

• Are you a young person that will make him feel very Tired? Surprise, you are also his soft spot and he will take you under his wing whether or not you like it.
• CR to be acerbic and vaguely snarky with. He thinks he's funny, please validate this delusion.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Stephen's priority is figuring out the deal with the Singularity and its connection to other worlds, including their own. Most of his plot hook potential will revolve around magic, but I would be interested in opportunities for him to use his medical knowledge, as well. Stephen's also the type of character to take risks; this does not always mean things turn out successfully! Messing with spells that blow up in his face is just canon at this point, and would be fun to eventually play out with any interested party.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Inej is a spy and she's really, really good at what she does, which is basically collect information and steal secrets of people without them being aware of her doing it– I'd LOVE to get to play with some of that in game, so hmu if you'd be down for her to maybe overhear conversations or pick up certain things about your character just because she's sort of wandering the streets of Cadens both in daytime and nighttime to familiarize herself with the streets and rooftops of the city in a way that's familiar/comfortable to her. She could come across anything under the sun just by nature of people not noticing her being around, however we decide we wanna play it. She's not a gossip, so it's not like what she finds out will suddenly be known by the whole city, but it could be fun for her to just quietly collect information about people around.

THAT SAID, I'm also really trying to branch her out a lot right now and net some CR. She recently moved to the Free Cities from Solvunn, so she's in a big sort of "starting over" phase at the moment. She's been in Cadens for about a month, so we can work out some vague/light passing CR that could have accrued over that time and jump in without needing to focus on "Hi, I'm Inej, who are you?" introductory things. She stays at Mags' Inn, where she currently is trading work for a room. She can easily be connected to Jesper Fahey because of how frequently they could be seen together.

There's a lot of internal things building for Inej right now, where she feels very lost, out of place, like she has no purpose here and she doesn't know how to move forward from that. So she's definitely trying to find a niche in this world/in Cadens in general. She's seeking a proper job, too, so if you'd like to assume she's asked your character in passing if they know of anything, I'm cool with that too!

CR YOU WANT: People she might know in passing from her idle wandering in Cadens, people that frequent the Inn, or folks she might have come across during general errand trips to shops; fellow badass ladies to be badass ladies with; people that want to parent/mentor/etc her even though life has forced her to grow up much faster than she should have had to; I'm open to negative CR if it falls that way as long as there's at least some substance to it; and in general I'm pretty open to most things, let's just brainstorm some things~
CR YOU DON'T WANT: No shipping/smut. Sorry, her heart is taken by a feral cat in the shape of a boy back home my kingdom for a Kaz in game and sex is just not on the table for her (beyond the fact that she's a minor, there is a lot she has to unpack about the idea of it, in general).

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Jasper is a proud and stubborn man who looks ridiculously young for his age. Possessing a charisma strong enough to earn the loyalty of his brigade, he remains a hero to many after betraying his country. The hidden truth? He forsook humanity and became the right hand of the lord of darkness. His master gaslit him daily and abused his emotions while wearing his adoptive father like a skinsuit. You can read about his past here and tell me if your character can sense he’s a monster here.

CR YOU WANT: What Jasper wanted back home was a vacation; now he's sipping tea and shooting the breeze. Intellectually curious, he might involve himself in research out of his thirst for knowledge. He needs to broaden his horizons and meet new people - and I’m hardly picky on how that happens.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Jasper is irritable and rude and hardly a people pleaser. I have no problems with characters who would bite back but his attitude might trigger conflict. He is too preoccupied with an old companion from home to entangle himself in romantic affairs.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

Magical Artefacts: Jasper is intellectually curious and will poke his nose into spells and magic. His interest will fixate on medicine and healing because of the epidemic that ravaged his kingdom. Endeavours to obtain another conduit so he can regain his true form.

Horizon: Dying shook Jasper enough that life became an existential crisis; one explored by visiting his domain. Positive influences on his confidence could become addictive. Selfish desires will need balancing against his growing reputation; his experience of military conquest against humanity possibly leading him to seize territory without the moderating influence of another character. Needs help getting creative within his own space.

Julie Lawry is a manipulative, social-climbing hayseed from Kansas who is among the .6% of humanity who is inexplicably immune from the superflu. As the sole survivor from her entire podunk town, she spent a month completely alone, then fell prey to a wizard/demon/sex god, went to Las Vegas because of dreams, and now her wardrobe is fabulous. Also she died, but we don't talk about that.

Julie is teaching herself Wild magic, which is based on the user's emotions and desires. She is pretty decent for someone who is learning basically just by trial and error -- she can currently do things like control and shape fire, bottle storm clouds, revive dead flowers, and conjure pencils. Only pencils. She's working on colored pencils atm. Her next venture is to actually go commune with the Singularity while in the Horizon, because she has never done that. She will not be licking it, tyvm

She has a distinctly strong connection to the Singularity and the Horizon, where she has a nightclub that's open whenever she's there, populated by roughly 100 fake people who live on the dance floor. There is a lot of booze and drugs available, please see the bartender (Steven, a manifestation of the Horizon) or the hostess (Julie, an idiot) if you would like some. Also if you are looking for a fuckbuddy, Julie will set you up and yes, she has references.

By the time we meet him in the second game, he's all in for going on a suicide mission so that he can do some good to make up for the bad. He also reunites with his son and things are kind of...okay again. Despite his profession, he's a very spiritual and religious man and is way too polite for a guy who could kill a man with a paperclip. Obligatory, "give me all of it" because seriously give me all of it. But as for specifics, I would love other killers for hire/assassin CR. Love the idea of two assassins recognizing Something in one another but neither saying it. Also, just in general, because assassin morality is always interesting. Thane is a terminally (heh) patient individual so literally anything that may challenge that, or anyone who is the exact opposite of him is always a+. Gotta love that opposite CR. That's going to be his driving force in the game.

I want to lean into some of the internal strife aspects of living in a faction that embodies so many of the things she claims she wants to fight for Grisha back home (freedom, individual agency, rulers that represent their people), but also seeks to destroy the Singularity.

Day-to-day, she will continue her training to hone her own powers, as she hopes to amass enough power to destroy a giant shadow that cuts her country in two. One point of plot engagement could be seeking out non-traditional ways of increasing the power she yields. I'm drawing from the books for a little inspiration, but one of Alina's major struggles in the series later is her own internal reckoning with being increasingly power hungry and wondering if she is going to either lose herself to that hunger, or if desiring more power makes her monstrous herself.

Someone should convince her to try and destroy Nocwich too.

Or: Tenma is a doctor and as close to a saint as a normal dude just trying to live his life can be. He learns how to use a gun and then spends several years never managing to shoot his target because of his soft center and complex about The Value Of Life. As a perfectly normal human with no special powers, magic and world hopping are big and startling and he just wants to, again, live his dang life. He can't resist putting his nose in people's business to make sure they're doing basic self-care and if he gets involved with someone once, he's involved with them Forever, so watch out: the fussy doctor is on the case!!

Other fun Tenma facts include: sometimes birds just land on him, he has cried over burgers, he can't do push ups, he's incredibly bad at saying no to sad kids and buys people presents purely because he was thinking about them, he was suspected of serial murder for a long time somehow despite all this. He's sweet and kind of sad all the time like a stray dog, and he's very hypocritical about the self-care thing because he often neglects to eat or sleep. It's cool.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Thancred is part of an organization called the Scions of the Seventh Dawn who are dedicated to protecting the realm of Eorzea (and beyond) while not being tied to any one nation, allowing them to not be tied down by political obligations. They do things like fighting primals (false gods), saving the realm from ancient beings who want to bring about calamities, and lots of other fun stuff. Thancred is particularly skilled in espionage, so he is here for infiltration, reconnaisance, subterfuge, survivalism... the list goes on. He comes off as cocky and charming at first glance, but in reality holds himself to a very high standard where he's constantly trying to prove himself, womp womp. He has gone through some character development in that arena and also had to learn how to be a dad. He's also done this song and dance with getting whisked to another world before, so he'll maybe handle it better than some other newly summoned.

CR YOU WANT:
• In all honesty, Thancred is pretty amiable and will strike up a conversation quite easily with just about anyone, though sometimes it might be for an ulterior motive. He might not be 100% open about himself at first, but he also isn't completely a closed book. He's just playing his cards close to the chest for now.
• THORNE PALS, COME AT ME. There are still some Thorne people I haven't started CR with, and I'd like to change that.
• He enjoys exploring in the Horizon, so any sort of run-in there is always an option.
• Sparring/training partners are always fun!
• He's going to be doing a ton of snooping around and at some point will probably be trying to sneak into somewhere he shouldn't be to get more information on Thorne and the royal family, etc. Not sure how this is going to go but it may or not be a disaster and if anyone wants on that messy train, I'm down.
• Despite all his sneaky stuff, he also fills the tank role, so if you need someone to jump into a fight and take some hits, he's your guy.
• Other dads/parents in general? He doesn't often get to talk about Ryne but I'd love for that to come up more.
• Thancred's very close to Himeka, so anyone who is also close to her (or, conversely, who has negative CR with her) is bound to get the third degree from him. Or he'll at least be curious about them.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Nothing's coming to mind, tbh. I am literally down for anything and if our CR turns out to be negative, I love that too. Just expect Thancred to get real sassy if that happens, he doesn't hold back.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Thancred will soon be returning from a three week trip around Thorne doing a special quest/mission with Stephen and Yennefer! They're all going to be a bit closer as a result, but I'm fine with other denizens of Thorne having noted his absence. How much he'll share with others about this will depend on a lot of different factors, but I'm down to play around with that. Also excited to see what the event will bring. CHARACTER INFORMATION: The boss monster you thought was the pinnacle of cool when you were 12, Goro was part of the first group of Free City Summoned, and since he arrived he's generally been making a nuisance of himself, trying to press for a war that he feels is inevitable anyway and would just like everyone to get there faster. He's the current "face" of a movement of like-minded Free Cities citizens who also believe in a more aggressive foreign and interventionist foreign relations policy, a position he wriggled his way into after the events of Eifstide. Also spells the word "combat" with a "k". He is extremely distrustful of magic and those who wield its power freely; he's known too many sorcerers (two. he's known two.) to trust the intentions of people who turn to an unnatural power like magic.
CR YOU WANT: Allies & Enemies! Goro comes from a world where casual brutality is a way of life, and espouses a philosophy of might makes right. He thinks all this dancing about around the Singularity is a pointless waste of time and is actively trying to push the Free Cities into war with Thorne and Solvunn. Anyone who agrees and will help him get this war (by any means necessary), or who wants to oppose him and try to do something about his ever-tightening grip on the Free Cities (at present he's one of three people with the highest Influence in the faction, the other being a Captain America and Dark Fantasy Mick Jagger) is welcome. I also love the idea of people who can match him physically; Goro is exceptionally strong and fast in a way that few of the mostly-human Summoned can match. Someone who can go toe-to-toe with the big guy and give him the fight he wants would be a welcome change of pace.
CR YOU DON'T WANT: Don't try to romance him, if you were actually inclined to try. XD; Otherwise I think I'm good with whatever!
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: In theory, Goro supports the Free Cities, mostly because it's where his powerbase is, and because he thinks the Singularity, which he sees as the power of Armageddon itself, personified, should be destroyed...or possibly, controlled by a will he trusts. And who does Goro trust more than himself? He's also sponsored Viktor since the Piltoverian scientist arrived and is getting him to work on an agricultural project to revitalize the desert, but the relationship is fraught as Viktor is entirely too aware of Goro's bullshit and that the Shokan is trying to use him. IF ONLY THERE WAS SOME WAY TO SHAKE UP THIS DYNAMIC. He's also a little sore at Jaskier and Alucard/"The Architects" after his attempts to donate to the rebuilding of the Public House were rejected, and Goro never forgets an insult. He also briefly dueled Himeka during the throwdown at the Singularity, but was driven off by the arrival of Estinien (who has since poofed) and considers his kombat with her to be unfinished, which is a state of affairs his warrior's pride cannot abide.

Goro is also using his influence and deteriorating international relations to try and push the Free Cities to be more fearful/opposed to "uncontrolled" magic, aka anything not regulated by magitek/hexcore. He's doing his best to stir up nationalistic sentiments by insinuating that the Free Cities are the true leaders of Abraxas, and they should not be afraid to assert themselves in that role.

In much darker news, Goro has also secretly allied with Fandaniel in his efforts to try and push/manipulate the Free Cities towards war, which is bad because he has no idea who his new ally really is, and thinks he has the Ascian on some sort of leash, which surely won't explode catastrophically in his and everyone else's face later on.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Assassin aka Shuten-Douji is one of the many, many Heroic Spirits summoned as a Servant to your typical anime protagonist from the gacha game, Fate/Grand Order, where they're all trying to make sure human history isn't ruined or wholesale disappears. She's fairly chill about the whole Servant thing and so no matter where she is, as long as she can drink and have fun, it's all good... Even if Shuten is Chaotic Evil and a man-eating oni who will casually flirt and blatantly slip in about how delicious a person looks. Shuten is a notorious drinker and flirtatious as hell and uh, can eat humans. She doesn't need to anymore since she's a high-grade familiar type, but you know, the taste for them is still there... 💦💦💦 I promise that she likes people a normal amount.

Her likes are simple and it's the moon, handsome men, women, sake (and other booze, but mostly sake), flowers, and just feeling pleasant in general! Oh, and she's fine with getting down and dirty... with fights. Yes.

I have this Opt-Out post if other players don't want to engage with her since she's a monster with monster logic. This post also includes permissions about her Intoxication skill, but I'll always be hitting up the other player if she happens to use that on someone.

CR YOU WANT: DRINKING BUDDIES, anyone who has magic might be interested because her physical body is like, a high-level magical projection which makes her incredibly strong; most Servants are sturdy by design because they're really, really, useful familiars in the most basic sense.

If your character is good-looking (based on her taste), she'll definitely flirt with them, but Shuten mostly enjoys anyone who has an interesting reaction to her, negative or otherwise, especially those who are wary of monsters. If you're someone with some sort of heroic character or at least high charisma, she may follow along just out of whimsy (or she'll be genuinely attracted/super hungry for them...) Another type of CR I'd want is anyone who is familiar with monsters, specifically oni or Japanese legends! I put it in her permissions, but feel free to recognize her from stories that mention Shuten-Douji.

I think I'm looking to further odd friendships and getting in some good spars. She needs the exercise.

I'll probably ask my Thorne people if anyone is interested in helping her enter the Horizon. She likes the castle, but if she starts getting bored, that's when she's at her most dangerous.

Speaking of, her Horizon is complete finally, so if you're interested in her playground lmk!

Lastly, I'm still on my shit regarding this: I like themes of loyalty, the humanity of a monster like herself, unlikely companionships, and the complexity of human-monster relations! Also, themes of doing good or bad deeds just because versus noble/evil intent. I guess after thinking about it a while, I like it when people make assumptions about her OR being able to read her past what she presents on the surface.

Basically, if you treat her rather nicely despite everything she says and does, she'll actually kind of behave? Sort of? At least for the specific person...

Most important of note: despite being in the Thorne faction Shuten does not adhere to their ideals and goals for the Singularity in the slightest. She is literally just there for the castle lmao. It'd be fun if someone points that out because at the end of the day, she's at her best fighting for someone or just herself.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Y'shtola is a magical cat (cue Cats music) lady who is infinitely curious about the world(s) beyond what she knows, specifically around the arcane nature of life, how it works, and how it relates to people. More specifically, she's just jazzed about magic itself. Once a healer and now just the avatar of destruction*, she continues to work towards keeping her world - and the multitudes of worlds out there - safe against any kind of danger. Personality-wise, she's aloof but naturally inquisitive about others, will talk your ear off with questions if you let her, and is a pretty decent sort once you get to know her. Just, y'know, reckless at times like anyone else.

(* - this is a joke, please don't throw tomatoes at me, I'm funny, I swear :c )

CR YOU WANT: I know people get tired of the 'EVERYTHING' response so I'll break a few options down:
• People who know more than her about this world, its workings, and specifically its political, social, and magical climate? You're on notice. She wants all the info.
• She can be your angl healer if you REALLY need it but...you know...there are better options. And she will scold you. And possibly roast you. (Possibly literally.)
• Explorer, adventurer, heroic types. Will you frustrate her with your possibly reckless decisions? Absolutely. But you are also the most likely to 1) get shit done and 2) figure shit out, so she will also want to keep an eye on or befriend you.
• Witchy and not-so-witchy ladies! This is my personal pref because Y'shtola has girl friends in earlier days of canon and I'd just love that more for her?
• People who will drag her away from her studies or her work because she is being a recluse who's more interested in discovering cool shit than taking a break.
• While the end goal would probably be to have Y'shtola be...vulnerable and open up to people and change a little, I apologize because she's a slow-burn kind of gal for deep friendships and trust, but she is absolutely a Ride or Die person for those she intensely cares for (and seriously, she will throw her life aside if it means saving the majority/people she loves) so it's worth it but it's...a long haul, I'm so sorry.
• You know what, I'm just gonna be real about MY wishes, that if you play a jerk or baddie and you want some antagonistic banter, I want it.
• ...on that note, if you just want any kind of quippy, snippy banter, even as friends, I'm also here for it pls and ty.

• Gimme the deep lore. I am 100000% in to throwing Y'shtola right into the thick of discovering the world's secrets, especially if it pertains to magic, but I'm also a sucker for politics. Just...Y'shtola is a blunt if diplomatic creature, so maybe don't let her be in charge of anything resembling negotiations unless necessary.
• Magical plots, so I'm super interested in the Singularity/Horizon, and Y'shtola in general will prefer to be shoulder-deep in magical theory and experimenting and figuring out cool shit.
• Which also means she'd be interested in learning more magic because she's greedy af about that. And I would be down to play out her teaching others, though that might take a while and you'll need to rank up on her trust/friend list unless plot makes it seem like a dire choice.
• Fraternization across cities. Less so the "let's buck the system" and more the route of "more knowledge and more eyes are better than fewer." So in the interest of sharing insights...
• I dunno, I just think this game is neat and I'm new so I'm pretty open to just about anything!

ANYTHING ELSE?: Of note: Y'shtola is technically blind and so her first 5-7 days will not be pleasant. In truth, she can see by seeing the latent life force/magic inherent to others (I'm so sorry, I don't actually know how to explain this because the game is vague about it). Angsty heir apparent to the Skywalker legacy who'd much rather be cool and evil like his grampa Vader, despite the fact he's not actually all that great at casual sadism (not that it stops him from trying). CR YOU WANT:
I'll happily receive any and all CR of course but my heart beats fastest for fractious frenemies! I love forced/unexpected/unwelcome team-ups, and honestly if anyone feels like giving me the lost in the wilderness/behind enemy lines with the person I like least CR of my dreams I will be thrilled beyond measure. I also enjoy all flavours of interaction where characters share an end goal but have wildly different ideas about the ethics of the situation, and relationships that develop through the discovery of unexpected commonalities. You may flirt with Kylo! It will be exceptionally awkward, which is great— Kylo's only just worked out that some people actually find him pretty attractive when he isn't busy committing various war crimes, and while he's no longer the canonical permavirgin he was on arrival in Abraxas he's still exceptionally weak to genuine compliments and has no idea how to handle attention of a positive nature. Destroy him.

CR YOU DON'T WANT:
I can't think of much I actively don't want, and even the tropes and setups I don't tend to go for can be lots of fun with the right set-up! I do struggle with small-talky type threads and vastly prefer it if there's a Reason for our characters to be interacting, but otherwise? Please just throw it at me.

Investigation:

What are Cadens and Solvunn doing with their stolen caskets? What can be done to fortify and strengthen the Singularity? Who are Oliver Abbot and Elizabeth Francis and what are their motivations? While he remains aligned with Thorne, Kylo's willing to work with like-minded characters from any faction to unpick these mysteries and more— albeit in a shadowy, ominously illuminati-like fashion rather than some kind of arms around the world rally.

Politik:

Kylo's moving up in the world, with his actions so far having gained him a position of relative authority in Thorne— namely, a task force of four Thornean mages under his command, as well as a title (The Venerable Kylo Ren, thank you!) earned with his actions during the Dimming event. I'd love to play with other characters in Thorne pushing for position and power, as well as with anyone looking for a big strong to hide behind or hitch their proverbial wagon to. Kylo is currently working most closely with Jolene, Ambrose's highest ranking apprentice (who is secretly more loyal to the Duchess of Hayle, Ambrose's sister), and they've recently become aware that the Queen of Thorne herself is behind some pretty sketchy experiments. If your character is into political intrigue, Kylo may be a good way to get teeth into that whole scene.

Study and experiments:

Kylo's been working with Thornean natives to test the feasibility of bridging and blending Abraxan magic with the skills and abilities the Summoned brought with them from their home worlds, mostly to empower himself. He is surprisingly willing to help others learn magic, and will share the use of a magically protected room in Castle Thorne for the purpose. He's also open to introducing characters to the Horizon for the first time: he's very comfortable with meditation and metaphysical nonsense and will gladly theorise with fellow nerds for days given the slightest opportunity.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Former assassin and spymaster who left most of his fucks behind with his old job. Determined to live the dissolute life of drinking and being lazy, but a lifetime of spy training and a certain amount inherent nosiness tends to get him involved in things despite his best attempts. Can come across as stoic and reserved at first and has a preference for fading into the background, but he can also be an absolute troll, especially when he likes people, and has a primary love language of Being Annoying.

He's also got a number of health and physical issues because his retirement plan came with a three-years-to-live clause. I have an opt-out if you'd like me to avoid mentioning any of it or anything else.

CR YOU WANT: Drinking buddies, sparring buddies, assassin/spy types who want to talk shop. He does better with human contact despite how reticent he can be, so I'm really up for anything that forces him to be social.

Also folks who can help him get over his old-man-yells-at-cloud suspicion of all this newfangled technology nonsense. He does have interest/experience with some clockpunk-esque tech back home, I'd love to get him more into Free Cities' shiny machinery.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Cassandra is the youngest of seven children, a member of the ruling house of Whitestone. She is FRESH out of some heavy, long term trauma. Like, a DAY, maybe. Or two. After having been in it for YEARS (5-6). The girl has been through A Lot (witnessing the death of loved ones, torture, near death, MORE torture, living with the people who murdered said loved ones, being fed on by a vampire, and mind controlled). She has had no chance to actually come to terms with or heal from any of it. Also uh... she has a whole lot of nightmares as a result of the aforementioned... everything. There's a reason why she tries not sleep very much. (Apologies to her neighbours.)

She is, underneath the trauma, underneath the guilt and the regret, a determined, stubborn (and sassy) young woman with a gentle, caring heart. She's a snarky, sassy little shit, pretty much. (She's a de Rolo, it's in their blood.)

CR YOU WANT: EVERYTHING. Girl needs FRIENDS. I would LOVE for her to get close enough to people to talk about the shit she's been through. To maybe start healing. It'll take time for her to let people get close, though. (But also people caring about her is going to hit her SO HARD.)

Sparring partners, too. Mentors. People who need a snarky little sister. Or older sister. (That will be new to her.) Or daughter. Adopted family! She could use caring and concern something fierce. People to be sneaky and rogue-y with. Run around on rooftops with her guys. (She likes high places.) People to get into trouble with, too.

Tinkering buddies too! Not to the degree that her brother is (then again, she didn't have a demon to help HER invent something like guns XD), but she definitely has some degree of skill with building/inventing/tinkering with things.

I would obviously not mind anything shippy, but that's a slow burn and a long way off anyway. I wouldn't mind casual flings, either; she spent her formative years being held prisoner in her own home and tortured, serving as a vampire's Capri Sun, and mind controlled. So she never had a chance to really explore more than little kisses and crushes and things. CASS DESERVES MORE SMOOCHES.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
▶ She's going to be wanting to learn more about the politics of the place, and the history. She wants to learn EVERYTHING. (She's very well educated and genuinely enjoys learning. Especially when the instructor isn't shitty.)

▶ She'll be interested in healing, as well. She's uh... had a lot of practice at tending injuries mostly her own and using natural remedies and such.

▶ Relatedly I'd love for her to have a garden or something. Somewhere she can grow things. Spend time working and just... being.

▶ I'm very interested in her learning magic. She doesn't tend towards that in canon, so I would LOVE for her to get magic powers.

▶ I want her to get back into arts and music and things; she really hasn't had the ability to do... much with either of those for like 6 years. So having her re-find her love of painting and sculpture and drawing and music (violin, piano, singing).

▶ I would love for her to put together a sort of information network. People in the Free Cities she talks to regularly who will fill her in on things they hear about, what they see going on, etc.
