There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

Upcoming modplot will be announced on the OOC community and signal boosted on Plurk! Event #7's OOC plotting post is scheduled for the 13th of this month, while the IC event post itself is scheduled to go up on the 16th. Stay tuned! Characters might discover there's something to the Singularity's Eye after all...

FACTION: Thorne

CHARACTER INFORMATION: A neurosurgeon who hurt his hands, sought out a way to fix them, and became Earth's Sorcerer Supreme (for a time). Isn't life just funny that way? Stephen feels the weight of multiversal responsibilities and it's his job to protect his Earth’s reality, while occasionally breaking the laws of space-time because, you know. Sometimes you gotta. 90 percent responsible, 10 percent yolo. Stephen is often dry and sarcastic, and constantly Tired, but he is very willing to help those around him and find creative solutions to difficult problems. Not always a people-person, but paradoxically a bleeding heart when it comes to those desperately in need. Intelligent, stubborn, kind of nosy, and committing everyone’s business to memory. A magic nerd and medical science nerd.
CR YOU WANT:
• Is your character magically inclined? Do they study magic like a NERD? Stephen does, too!
• Or maybe your character is more in the medical science camp? Come talk to Stephen about NEUROSCIENCE!!
• Opportunities to heal you reckless, monster-fighting types.
• He can either talk someone out of a bad idea, or logic them straight into one, depending on the circumstances. Stephen is a good vehicle for perpetuating plotty stuff, and is willing to help those wanting to stick their nose into Singularity research.
• Someone he can talk music with, or spew random musical trivia at.
• Are you a young person that will make him feel very Tired? Surprise, you are also his soft spot and he will take you under his wing whether or not you like it.
• CR to be acerbic and vaguely snarky with. He thinks he's funny, please validate this delusion.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Stephen's priority is figuring out the deal with the Singularity and its connection to other worlds, including their own. Most of his plot hook potential will revolve around magic, but I would be interested in opportunities for him to use his medical knowledge, as well. Stephen's also the type of character to take risks; this does not always mean things turn out successfully! Messing with spells that blow up in his face is just canon at this point, and would be fun to eventually play out with any interested party.

Stephen's currently away from Thorne until mid-month!

YES please. He is absolutely suited for that! I didn't get a chance to throw Stephen at her during the player plot, but once he's returned from his quest I intend to make up for it. Come to him with all of your terrible ideas! It'll be fine, probably.

She's about to decide she is D O N E relying on other people every single night to not die of her own dreams so she's definitely going to see if Stephen can do something about it. It'll be fine, it definitely won't accidentally release a whole ton of nightmares.

Trying to help people and it going SIDEWAYS is absolutely on-brand for Stephen. This is perfect! I'm excited, let's see if we can toss these two together sometime soon to maybe get that rolling. c:

I'm nodding at all of these bullet points like yes, yes, good. But Jayce MIGHT be too beautiful to be a proper nerd -- however, Stephen is willing to overlook this in the name of magic, science, and magical science.

He'll be back from his trip in time for the event, so he'll be hanging around his Horizon more after that. They should definitely run into each other there!

It is an agreed upon fact that Jayce is just a little too hot to be a real nerd. But don't let that get in the way of appreciating his other assets!

Regardless of how their current conversation goes, I'm really enjoy how these two play off each other and I'd love to run them into each other again. Maybe a Horizon meetup?

Yes!! I'm about to tag back that thread rn so we can get an idea of how Stephen will be able to help, but I think he will definitely want to! The hard part will be regarding how to circumvent being in different factions, but they can def meet up in the Horizon sometime to figure stuff out. HE WILL DO HIS BEST TO FIGURE OUT A HEALING SOLUTION and maybe we can turn that into a plotting point to focus on in the future.

Also! I'd like to throw Sephiroth at him again later, as well. Maybe for the event if you're plate isn't too full?

Yes excellent, I dig it. Zhou Zishu has also recently developed some (low grade) healing abilities of his own that he will have exactly zero idea what to do with, if Stephen feels like handing out any training advice.
