There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

Upcoming modplot will be announced on the OOC community and signal boosted on Plurk! Event #7's OOC plotting post is scheduled for the 13th of this month, while the IC event post itself is scheduled to go up on the 16th. Stay tuned! Characters might discover there's something to the Singularity's Eye after all...

ABOUT YOU: I crochet in my free time, do some bread baking, tabletop, and I play a bunch of FFXIV. I consume a lot of media of all kinds, recently got real into our flag means death, currently rewatching the punisher. My plurk is almost exclusively for RP, so no need to ask, just add at will.

CHARACTER NAME: Geralt of Rivia
CANON: The Witcher (Netflix)

FACTION: Free Cities

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Geralt is gruff and rough around the edges, but he's quite soft on the inside. He's surprisingly easy to get along with if you're able to overlook his brusque nature, as long as you're not the type to play games and or try to bullshit him. Very much a Dad. He's pretty good at killing monsters, handy with a blade, and prefers his solitude. Can be solicited with free drinks or food. More info here.

CR YOU WANT:
+ Cheerful and persistent types to force him into friendship
+ Anyone patient enough to get him to open up
+ People who will bully him or give him shit for being a grouch
+ Actual monsters he can befriend and fellow outcasts
+ Characters with similarly orphaned/fucked up childhood backstories, especially those exposed to/committed violence at an early age
+ Other monster hunters, especially those with the rough and tumble vibe who'll remind him of his fellow Witcher brothers back home
+ Negative CR is good, too! Geralt doesn't go out of his way to upset people, but he isn't always the easiest to get along with and he tends not to mince his words.

CR YOU DON'T WANT:
+ Romance is extremely off the table. Casual hookups are good to go tho.
+ Negative CR that becomes a genuine threat to people he cares about. I don't mind it if we talk it out and have a solid resolution to move towards, but otherwise anything that endangers the people he considers his family, he won't back down until you're dead or he is.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
Geralt is currently involved in the following:

+ Investigating the true nature of the Singularity, and exactly what it is possible to use it for, as well as how much the factions know about its potential.

+ Recently went through a breakup (betrayal will get you like that) and has real Single Dad, Newly Divorced vibes so maybe there's something there, if you, too, have an adopted child or two and a complicated love life.

+ Geralt hunts often out in the desert, so if you want your character to be rescued and/or get in the way, let me know, I'm always open to his day getting disrupted. Next month, he'll be investigating something out in the desert in particular, so I'll see what he's going to find!

+ He's made the decision that he will remain in Abraxas for various personal reasons (a lot to do with Ciri), so his investment in this world and the people in it will start to run a lot deeper, which means found family times.

+ I am keen on trying to do a monster hunter meetup in the Horizon, at some point. Geralt is obviously not the type to actually organize this (or is he??? no im kidding he's fucking not), but OOCly, I would love for all the monster hunter/mercenary types to just incidentally start gathering up into a place in the Horizon and hang out. Maybe have some shenanigans and an abundance of drinking.

idk in what waaays, but I'd be done for trying to figure out some CR with them. Inej is a box of issues wrapped up in Faith™ and a stubborn refusal to let the bad things/people that happened to her ruin the light inside of her. She's in the free cities, so we can probably make something happen 👀

Yes!! Geralt spent some time as a child in a temple under the tutelage of a priestess who's a bit of a mother figure to him, so while he doesn't hold any beliefs himself it still influenced a part of his life

and, naturally, i also need more geralt and sephiroth (even though we have a thread going on right now shh). the pigeon bond has been acquired, but now we must move into "oh you were experimented on as a kid, too" territory. it's fine.

We are on the same wavelength bc I was thinking of asking if you'd be down to have it going there. I kind of imagined it starting as a mini hangout of the folks they know mutually and it just....grows from there

Hi yes I can offer one young woman who's been through a metric fuck-ton of trauma since she was 12-13 and who was definitely exposed to violence pretty young. She's actually freshly out of said trauma.

Yes! I'm down with that, Geralt can be found walking the horizon on occasion actually so he's easy to catch without going directly to his place

i'm just waiting for the opportunity to throw wanda and geralt again. i feel like there's a lot of options: between the trauma, complicated love life/parenting, being an outcast. not to mention the fuckey magic stuff. i feel like there's a lot of good cr development opportunities here!!

For sure, I'd love to see what the event has for us maybe! otherwise I'm here to find reasons for them to meet again and learn more about each other.
