Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

For this round, we've added a separate form below for Game Plot Themes Of Interest. You can find the form on this comment. Fill it out and reply to the comment if you want to let us know what you're interested in for future mod plots.

Filling the form is optional, but we encourage you to do so as the mod team will take this into account when planning events and the game's direction. While Abraxas will overall retain its more serious tone to explore darker elements of war, horror, fantasy, and politics, any specifics regarding the above would help guide us in terms of what to emphasize and incorporate into the overarching plot.

You can list general themes such as body horror, cooperative missions, inter-faction fights, monster battles, festivals and mingles, etc. Or you can go into particulars such as "Events that create conflicting morals for my character."

If you want to fill out this form but not the CR Meme form, that's completely fine. You do not need to participate in the standard CR Meme to offer us your thoughts on the game's direction.

Upcoming event plot will be announced on the OOC community and signal boosted on Plurk! Event #10's OOC plotting post is scheduled for the 12th of this month, while the IC event post itself is scheduled to go up on the 15th. Stay tuned! Characters will find that the arrival of war brings with it more than battles and politics. Other forces are beginning to stir, both in the real world and within the Horizon.

IT'S WAY PAST MIDNIGHT, AND I'M CURIOUS NOW

How exactly does this reality manifestation work?
And is it real objects or just Horizon objects?

His reality manifestation does real objects (or ghosts of dead people, or spiders, etc)! It's actually a thing from canon, not a gift from the singularity. Here's the short explanation blurb from his app:

His hallucinations occasionally manifest in unexplainable and helpful ways - usually in clutch this-is-it situations, or when he's at peak instability. Two of the most prominent examples of this:

When handcuffed to a metal bar with all his friends unconscious and a ticking clock running out that would lead to his death (and then shortly after the conversion of the rest of the world into mind-controlled mimics), Jack tried to cut his own hand off with a broken credit card and a box cutter. Once he started bleeding and the method proved ineffectual, he hallucinated his enemy and attempted murderer Spencer Middleton, who gave him a gun in an attempt to trick him into shooting his own wrist to break the bone and slip free. He realized how stupid that was about a second before doing it, and instead used it to shoot the links of the handcuffs, freeing himself. As soon as the cuffs were broken, both Spencer and the gun disappeared.

Jack hallucinated a conversation with the deceased deputy that used to frequent the gas station. Tom poured himself a cup of coffee, and it was still sitting on the counter after the hallucination disappeared. These hallucinations, whether they're somebody alive or dead, occasionally warn Jack about things he can't possibly know on his own, implying some light psychic or prophetic capabilities.

Also, one time he hallucinated a sandwich into existence and is too oblivious to realize that's where it came from. He is not always the sharpest tool in the shed.

So basically, he makes real things, but they're temporary and he only recently realized how to do it. He has extremely limited control over it, to the point that he can only at-will manifest small things like cups of coffee or cheap plastic hair dryers.

But he's, like, really really good at coffee.

The rest is kind of cool though. I absolutely want to throw Jo at Jack in the Horizon and end up in the tiny gas station, since I have such a clear image of it all in my head now.
