Urianger is the goth mom healer of the group who's really into horoscopes, history, and using magic to solve all his mundane problems, as well as speaking ~~Eorzeabethan~~ Elizabethan English because he read too many old books as a child. He's generally on the more reserved side however he's always happy to talk research, and his seemingly bottomless reserves of patience mean he has a knack for connecting with all sorts of different types of people.

Initially he's going to be heavily invested in the Abraxian Arcanum, researching (and practicing) the land's celestial magicks, as well as trying to begin piece together what's been happening around here lately, and I'm looking forward to any and all CR that might bring his way!

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Lots of spoilers for the series, but I have his history/world info here (which also gives some context for why he tells people his name is Kyle but refers to himself as Kahlil in narration). His backstory is pretty heavy, I have all of the content warnings for him in general listed here in the form of an opt-out.

tl;dr Kyle was taken in by priests at a young age after they murdered his parents - both him and his sister would have been murdered as well but the priests saw that he could use something called the Gray Space, which is considered a holy power to them. So they brought him back to their temple, trained him up to be something called the Kahlil (essentially the guardian and/or executioner of the mortal destroyer incarnation of their god, also called the Rifter, who the priests use as a nuclear weapon against their enemies). Kyle spends a decade on Earth watching over this dude named John, before things go awry, and he ends up back in his home world of Basawar where history seems to have been altered. Also, all of his memories are scrambled, many are missing and he also have new memories that don't feel like his own. He spends the next two years working as a spy/assassin for the guy who helped him recover from losing his mind, then ends up running into this dude named Jath'ibaye which starts bringing back a lot of his memories right before he gets fatally stabbed and ends up in Abraxas!

CR YOU WANT: More friends, please. People he wants to protect. People to talk about religion. Folks with backstories as sad as his, or folks who are cheerful and/or strange. He's mildly fixated on flashy clothing and hairstyles. Allies of convenience-who-may-turn-on-each-other-later types are great too. If you character has any noticeable abilities that seem dangerous, or if your character seems dangerous, in the back of his mind he's going to be sorting out the quickest way to end them - which is also to say both complicated/negative CR is great too!

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Not much really. I'm open to him eventually having casual physical relationships in the near future once he feels more comfortable, but otherwise not looking for serious romance. He's canonically into dudes.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Kyle recently came into some influence in Thorne, so I'm hopefully going to get him into a courier job where he can do something ~~spying~~ observing. His home world was a war-torn place for most of his life, he's generally against the between Thorne and the Free Cities right now because he knows the common folk are going to be the ones to suffer long term, so he's working to figure out how to best undermine things - he's less about the flashy interference and more into quietly taking people out through blackmail or framing someone for an assassination, etc etc. That's where his brain goes.

He's also deeply religious, he not-quite jokingly refers to himself as a fanatic. He doesn't push his religion on others, but he's also very much convinced that his god was the reason he didn't die and instead ended up in Abraxas, and that the Singularity is connected to his god. World hopping isn't all that strange for him, he jumped between Earth and Basawar through Gates, which is something he hasn't explicitly revealed to anyone except his roommate so far. I'm super interested in him doing more research on the gods of Abraxas, the Singularity, and the whole long history there (which he's started in Thorne). I also would like him to learn more magic, ICly he wants to figure out how to break down protective spells/wards so that he can more easily use the Gray Space to zoom around quickly, even though OOCly this isn't likely to change. He's very very slowly studying ancient Thornean along with his slow magic study.

Eddie is an anxiety-ridden metalhead from 1980s Indiana—but like, a highly cursed town in Indiana that houses an alternate dimension with monsters and creepy shit. Long story short, he had a really bad week that started with him being wanted for a murder he didn’t commit (the satanic panic of it all) and ended with him getting munched on by some mutant monster-bats.

He’s 20 (going on 21, more about that later) and repeated his senior year twice. He doesn’t like conformity, but he does like D&D and Metallica. He’s super dramatic and super nervous. He’s incredibly intense and might look like he’s gonna strangle you if you even try to insult his favorite bands, but he’s a kind-hearted dude who genuinely wants to help and do the right thing and has a serious soft spot for those who “don’t belong”.

CR YOU WANT: All, but here’s a couple specifics to draw from:

-More people to drag him out of his comfort zone. He’s getting there, but he still balks at anything that sparks his anxiety even a little.
-Fellow musicians or just people who are super into music. He’d be happy to critique your taste for you, free of charge.
-Fellow outsiders, or at least people who don’t feel like they belong or didn’t belong in their own world.
-More help being trained in magic! He’s been slow to get started with it all.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Nothing right now!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

-Eddie had a lot going on in his own world, and it’s resulted in a large amount of trauma that he’s refusing to acknowledge, mainly because he doesn’t know what to do with it. Getting him to open up about that, especially the fact that he died, even if it’s a slowburn type of thing, is a big goal.

-Somewhat related to the above, it would be nice if he could eventually let go of some of his anxiety and fear, but current events are certainly not helping.

-Because I’m entirely too on the nose and no one should judge me for it, I’ve headcanoned Eddie’s birthday as Devil’s Night (October 30th). That’s coming up. Just saying. Birthday shenanigans (if the whole war thing doesn’t intervene).

-Eventually (and this is mainly on the back burner due to my own lack of knowledge on the subject) he’s going to start running D&D campaigns out of the Horizon. Obviously that will mean come one, come all.

CR YOU WANT: any and all cr is great! she's always open to friends, and she does well with all kinds of personalities - she does have a soft spot for the grumpy/antisocial type. positive or negative cr is fine with me! as she's in solvunn, it'd be good to link up with those that are there, but i'm also happy to do horizon threads, etc with those in other places.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Claire Novak is a 20 year old bucket of issues and attitude. She's also an ex-angelic vessel, ex-thief, ex-werewolf and current hunter. She's got a deep-seated fear of abandonment, as her loved ones seem to leave and/or die on her constantly. As a result of a troubled childhood, she can barely keep it together on a good day, covering her fears, ptsd and insecurities with sass, one-liners and pop-culture references. Claire has long given up the idea of being 'normal', dedicating herself instead to hunting and killing monsters at a very young age. She pursues her goals with stubborn and often reckless determination, and rarely hesitates to leap in the path of danger. As strong as her fear of abandonment is, as strong is her sense of found family no matter how hard she tries to deny it, and she will go to great lengths for the people she considers "hers". At the bottom of all her attitude sits someone with a vested interested in doing good and defending those who have no one else to defend them.
CR YOU WANT:
❖ Found Family types - both of the soft and deliberate as well as grumpy and accidental sort. Seriously, please adopt her, she keeps losing family and it's all very complicated.
❖ Girls to flirt with - this baby gay's first crush died tragically before she came here, so give her nice things

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
❖ Claire has tunnel vision on monster hunting right now because it's all she knows how to do from back home, and lowkey all she thinks she can do. So she's very interested in connecting with people of the same persuasion, and is training/trying to gear up to make it happen.
❖ At the same time, with some encouragement and being entrusted with other things, she can actually open herself to other avenues of helping people. For all her cocky attitude, she doesn't believe in herself a lot, but she does like to help people, and could do with learning that sometimes, you can do so without putting your own life on the line. And as much as she's used to going it alone, she could do with getting involved in more community focused projects via CR. She's actually pretty good with people (shocking) and the investigative part of monster hunting.
❖ She carries a lot of baggage and unresolved grief. While she doesn't need people to play therapist for her, developing bonds that tap into those issues or allow her to become more vulnerable with people and let go of her defense mechanisms would be great - especially learning that sometimes you can trust that people will show up for you.
❖ On the flipside, while she's matured a bit from the troubled teen she used to be, she's not fully above getting up to some minor mischief.
❖ There's something about Claire's blood that makes her a bit unusual. While she herself possesses no kinds of powers, she is a divine vessel by bloodline and has been possessed by an angel in her past, as well as become the only human to ever be infected with, fully turned by and subsequently cured of lycanthropy (believed incurable, as nobody has survived the healing procedure prior to her). If your character has any magical senses and a mind to capitalize on this, we can chat about that.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Geralt is gruff and rough around the edges, and soft on the inside. He's surprisingly easy to get along with if you're able to overlook his brusque nature. Just don't try to bullshit him. Harder to get to know him well past the surface. Stuffed full of trauma but he's managing and has his own method of compartmentalizing. He's pretty good at killing monsters, handy with a blade, and prefers his solitude but likes the company of people he's comfortable with. Can be solicited with free drinks or food. He's extremely protective of the people he loves and will not hesitate to murder if necessary. Heavy association with wolves. Also has a daughter he would do anything for. More info.

CR YOU WANT:
+ Cheerful and persistent types to force him into friendship or anyone patient enough to get him to open up
+ People who will bully him or give him shit for being a grouch OR people he can (affectionately) bully in return because they're a little shit and they know it
+ Actual monsters, other monster hunters, and fellow outcasts he can befriend (or not befriend, as it may be)
+ People he can protect! Geralt has a pretty strong protective streak even if he won't admit it. Conversely, people who will be protective of him since that's a rare one
+ Characters with similarly orphaned/fucked up childhood backstories, especially those exposed to/committed violence at an early age or on the other hand, characters who have a wildly different upbringing than him
+ Negative CR is good, too! Geralt doesn't go out of his way to upset people, but he tends not to mince his words and he'll let you know if you're trying his patience. Also am 100% fine with people who'll be wary of him or don't like his habit of slicing people open as an answer to certain problems

CR YOU DON'T WANT:
Small talk is difficult since Geralt's just not the type, so I'm happy to handwave initial intros and toss them into the fray as needed. He's also hard to antagonize for the sake of antagonizing. I don't mind it per se, but it's unlikely that kind of interaction will go very far.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
+ Hunting. He's often out in the desert, so if you want your character to be rescued and/or get in the way, let me know, I'm always open to his day getting disrupted. Or join up with him on a hunt - he's not one to take partners but it can happen if they're both coincidentally out there.

+ Shenanigans in or out of the Horizon. Geralt can be inadvertently dragged into stuff against his better judgment so if there's some nonsense going on, I'm always down for getting him roped into it.

+ Theorizing & info. About monoliths, the multiverse, faction secrets, whatever. Geralt has been keeping track of a variety of happenings in Abraxas, including the Singularity, the Horizon, the factions, and more. He's also been here from the very start, so there's a few things he's experienced or knows of others might not. If he trusts you, you can get him talking.

+ Politics! It is something Geralt prefers to avoid and then gets sucked in, anyway. He's protecting Ciri and believes the Singularity is what's keeping her safe from the Wild Hunt, so he is firmly against destroying it for this reason, which places him on a certain end of the political spectrum whether he wants that or not. If this leads to conflict, I'm all for it.

+ Extremely grey morals! Geralt is a monster hunter who's also kind of perceived as a monster himself in a war-torn world where usually the humans are the worst monsters. Everything in his canon is blurry as fuck and even the best of them have their moments of doing some shit. He has his own philosophy on how to navigate all the chaos, and sometimes what he believes, what he says, what he wants, and what he does can all be contradictory. I'd love for things of this nature to come up.

+ Bonding in general. Geralt has decided to make his home in Abraxas, for personal reasons (along with Ciri and Jaskier), so he's here for good and the bonds he forms mean a lot to him. I want him to keep gathering people into his little family that he'll fight fiercely for. If he sees common ground in someone (i.e. similar traumas), he'll take an interest.

CHARACTER NAME: Claude von Riegan
CANON: Fire Emblem: Three Houses

CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Claude is a former duke who comes from the Verdant Wind route of FE3H where he was the lone leader to survive the war in Fodlan. Due to route differences, he may say something different about Fodlan and what happened there compared to info from other FE3H characters. He's also actually a prince of a neighboring country to Fodlan but has yet to tell anyone in Abraxas this and currently has no plans to do so. While he's very outwardly friendly, he keeps most everyone at arm's length and uses that friendliness as a shield to keep a safe distance until he decides whether he can trust someone. Being overly casual and irreverent is his way of making himself not be taken seriously so no one looks at what he might be up to in the background too closely. He's always looking to gather information and may casually find a way into things as a way to do just that. It can take him a long time to let his guard down and tell someone anything about himself that might not already be readily apparent, but anyone Claude's even remotely fond of can count on his loyalty to them in whatever way they need at any time.

CR YOU WANT:

● Is there someone who would like to be gently annoyed into friendship? Hi hello, here's Claude to do that because he isn't shy and he likes to talk. A lot. Just know that if anyone crosses his path, he will talk to and/or at them. He's good at listening too! It might take a while to Become Friends but he's happy to get to know anyone and everyone.
● Along those lines, he's also easy to run into in person around Cadens. During mornings and early afternoons he works jobs for a handful of merchants and can be reliably found in one of their shops balancing/managing the books, working in the storerooms, or (very occasionally) assisting customers. His night schedule varies and his sleep schedule is sporadic, so evening/late night run-ins anywhere also work. Horizon meetups too since he spends time wandering there when not in his own domain.
● Cross-faction CR! Claude is very interested in getting to know anyone in Thorne or Solvunn. In light of the attack on Libertas he's warier than before of Thorne but won't say no to getting to know Summoned there. Hand-waving that they met in Nocwich during the last event works for me if we'd like to skip that part.
● Research friends! Claude is big into researching everything he can get his hands on (or overhear, observe, etc.) so teaming up with others or working on projects he could assist with would be excellent. Even if his assisting is taking or organizing notes, moving things, etc., count him in. His current interests are botany, healing, and learning ice magic but truthfully just about anything can qualify as something he would Like To Know.
● Found family! Does your character need a big brother figure to check in on them? He'll do that no matter where they are. He misses his classmates turned friends he became close to throughout their year at the academy and the war pretty terribly. The same goes for missing his former professor also turned close friend, and so mentors are always wanted too.

● Claude would also be happy to either give weaponry lessons on the ones he uses (knives/daggers also included in this), or to also have someone else give him lessons in what they know. Anything more modern than fantasy medieval times is something he'll be unfamiliar with and curious about.
● Somewhat along those lines, would you like to trade canon magic? He knows a couple healing magic spells that he can't use on himself (and therefore the learner can't use on themselves either) as well as wind spells meant for attack. ● What about thoughts on philosophy? Whether it's regarding events or actions back home, something a character lives by, what's going on in Abraxas: he's open to talking about it all. No need to agree on it either, dissenting views are always welcome. Learning more about others' homes and experiences is something he values, so this could also be a topic alongside something else going on in a thread too.
● Does your character have multiple timelines, universes, etc. and would they like to chat about it? Claude's recently discovered his friends from Fodlan remember things quite differently than he does, and they are apparently also from different calendar dates. Mysterious!! CHARACTER INFORMATION: Do you like canons that now seem oddly prescient and will make you nauseous at how close reality came to a fictional dystopia? Welcome to the world of The Stand, a miniseries released in 2020 about a global pandemic that kills 99.4% of all human life. Stephen King wrote a book in the 70s and we're all still paying the price. Julie Lawry is a manipulative, social-climbing hayseed from Kansas who is among the .6% of humanity who is inexplicably immune from the superflu. As the sole survivor from her entire podunk town, she spent a month completely alone, then fell prey to a wizard/demon/sex god, went to Las Vegas because of dreams, and now her wardrobe is fabulous. Also she died, but we don't talk about that.

Julie is a practitioner of Wild magic, which is based on the user's emotions and desires. She is pretty strong for someone who is learning basically just by trial and error -- she can currently do things like control and shape fire, bottle storm clouds, revive dead flowers, and conjure pencils. She has rapidly starting getting better at magic much faster because ↓↓↓

She has a distinctly strong connection to the Singularity and the Horizon -- by which I mean it turns out that she can FUCKING TALK TO IT. As far as she knows, she is the only one who can, and yep, it sure does weird her out. This has led to her becoming somewhat obsessive and territorial over the Singularity; she spends a lot of time with it, speaking to it and absorbing its magic like nuclear waste. But she loves the Singularity a lot and is fiercely protective of it, both due to her connection and also the fact that she cannot leave Abraxas (since her world is dead), and she fears something bad happening to the world if the Singularity is harmed.

In the Horizon, she has a nightclub that's open whenever she's there, populated by roughly 100 fake people who live on the dance floor. There is a lot of booze and drugs available, please see the bartender (Steven, a manifestation of the Horizon) or the hostess (Julie, an idiot) if you would like some. Also if you are looking for a fuckbuddy, Julie will set you up and yes, she has references.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Julie obviously has a lot going on in terms of the Singularity, but she is not about to be open regarding this fact, because haha she doesn't want to get snatched up and experimented on by the government ~~she comes from a world with a lot of T R A U M A around the government and their responses to things~~. Because her style of magic is not looked on kindly outside of Nott, where she originally lived before she illegally border-hopped, she's not super loud about it, but if your character would like to pursue Wild magic, she is probably the best resource.

So, Cal Kestis is one of the few Jedi to survive the purging of his order. He was about 13/14 when it happened and lost his master after he helped him escape so he's pretty damn traumatized by the whole ordeal. He hid out on a planet called Bracca for five years working as a scrapper, which basically means he helped scrap out of commissioned ships. He picked up a lot of skills related to scrapping, engineering, tinkering, etc while he was there. Because he spent a bit of his life at the academy and the rest trying to blend in and not get caught, he really has barely a clue about anything? He's just making it up as he goes along.

He's also really good at parkour.

CR YOU WANT: Note! I'm going to list some things but even if it's not on here feel free to hit me up for ideas! These are just things I thought of now...I'm always open to trying things and I'm sure there's a bunch of ideas I haven't considered but would love to try!

Cal is awkward, and only used to at much a really tiny crew. His canon point is post game so he's come out of his shell more but Abraxas is going to be a big ass change for him. So, friends! I think it'd be interesting to have this dynamic of one closed off person who is maybe more surly and serious and another equally closed off person who is more on the softer side?

Sparring partners! Though he's going to be lowkey about the whole Jedi thing because lmao he has no idea where he is and that's information that could get him killed so he's going to have to learn how to hold a regular sword like a regular sword person.

→ Real Friends! This is not an easy sign-up line. Jo grew up in a Hunter Bar, surrounded by men and women 3-4 decades older than her, all of them people who were constantly being born bloody into hunter-life and dying in the dark unknown somewhere. ABOUT YOU: Ancient History nerd from Northern Poland (CET / CEST timezone), working as team lead for software development team in a big financial company. My work sadly eats my RP time on weekdays.
In Tolkien fandom since forever. Eaten by Fate-verse, esp Fate Zero and Fate Grand Order. Fallen head first into Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab and never recovered. Ask me about Alexander the Great if you have an outrageous number of hours to waste.

CHARACTER NAME: Kell Maresh

FACTION: Thorne ~~and he hates it now~~

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Kell is a prince (adopted!!) of magical London, performatively rude emo magician who pretends to expect the worst of people, but in reality he's not half as cynical as he claims to be. Prone to bouts of self-pity and dramatic catastrophizing. Suffers from a mild case of hero complex. He needs to fix the world's ails, and he needs to do it alone, because he's the one uniquely qualified to do it - even when he's not. Terrible at teamwork. Not that great at social skills in general. Fiercely loyal to people he cares about. Reckless to the point of self-harm.
Kell is pale, thin, redhead with completely black right eye. Completely as in everything whites, iris, all of it. It's like a tiny hole into the darkness of the void. His default facial expression is a frown of dark brooding.
The eye marks him as Antari at his home world, a semi-mythical type of powerful magician both feared and revered by people capable of extraordinary feats of magic, like crossing the boundary between worlds. Which is partially responsible for his spiky exterior and general grumpiness. He was the only Antari of his world, so he had to figure out a lot on his own, with the weight of expectations hanging on him from the very young age.

CR YOU WANT:Friends! Fellow magical nerds! Friendly rivals. People who will drag his emo ass out of the house to meet others. People who will call him out on his self-pity and being dramatic. People he can endlessly discuss magic with.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Actual enemies. Current situation in Thorne already kicks his shins mightily. Besides he's more than capable of ruining his life on his own.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
Kell had a full flip in his attitude to Thorne royalty after attack on Libertas. He deeply disagrees with what happened, and how the situation was handled.
He's aware that any kind of overt defiance could get him arrested, but he's more than willing to play dumb and uncooperative as much as he can get away with. But that's reserved for Thornean authorities. The common people will get none of this. I want him to finally own that while he wasn't born royalty he's definitely been raised as one. To realize he has no idea what it's really like to not be the one with power and privilege. He has none of that in Thorne, so maybe he learns something.
Mostly though, I want to get him back on investigating Singularity. Both because of Rhy's connection to it, and as a source of magic.
