Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

For this round, we've added a separate form below for Game Plot Themes Of Interest. You can find the form on this comment. Fill it out and reply to the comment if you want to let us know what you're interested in for future mod plots.

Filling the form is optional, but we encourage you to do so as the mod team will take this into account when planning events and the game's direction. While Abraxas will overall retain its more serious tone to explore darker elements of war, horror, fantasy, and politics, any specifics regarding the above would help guide us in terms of what to emphasize and incorporate into the overarching plot.

You can list general themes such as body horror, cooperative missions, inter-faction fights, monster battles, festivals and mingles, etc. Or you can go into particulars such as "Events that create conflicting morals for my character."

If you want to fill out this form but not the CR Meme form, that's completely fine. You do not need to participate in the standard CR Meme to offer us your thoughts on the game's direction.

Upcoming event plot will be announced on the OOC community and signal boosted on Plurk! Event #10's OOC plotting post is scheduled for the 12th of this month, while the IC event post itself is scheduled to go up on the 15th. Stay tuned! Characters will find that the arrival of war brings with it more than battles and politics. Other forces are beginning to stir, both in the real world and within the Horizon.

IC INFORMATION

CHARACTER NAME: Steve Rogers
CANON: Marvel Cinematic Universe
SIGN: The Hierophant
FACTION: Free Cities

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Steve started out as just a man who wanted to do his part to protect his country even with every odd (and ailment) stacked against him, but then he got super-soldier juice and became America's secret weapon in World War II — up until he crashed a plane into the ocean as a purposeful sacrifice to save the world and then stayed frozen in ice for seventy years. Fast-forward to 2012 and beyond, and he headed the superhero team the Avengers for a time, got himself branded a fugitive and was on the run for a while, and then spent five years trying to carry on in a world where half of all living things got obliterated — until that got fixed. He's been through a lot, but you know, he can do this all day.

CR YOU WANT:
• Steve is someone who is always friendly and polite when meeting someone, but who can be hard to get to know beyond a surface level because of how he keeps people at arm's length. Anyone who's willing to be persistent in befriending him would be great.
• You know what they say about shared life experiences. Other people with military backgrounds would definitely catch his interest, or other people part of teams like the Avengers.
• Just being a mutual friend of Sam Wilson's is honestly a great way to kickstart some CR!
• For work so far Steve's been helping out around the Sarstina Inn and also doing odd jobs within the city, but he'll also now be doing escort jobs into the desert, so that might be a way for him to meet other people.
• He's very curious about what the military is up to without actually wanting to join up himself, so anyone else who's poking their heads into that stuff might rub elbows with him.
• I definitely would like him to meet others in the Horizon as well! He wouldn't be as frequent of a visitor, but probably pokes his head in at least once a week. Regardless, I'm always down to figure out a reason for him to be there for the means of getting him to meet more Summoned!
• Steve is someone who is opinionated about what he thinks is right and won't usually budge on his beliefs, so I'm always open to negative CR because of that!

CR YOU DON'T WANT: While I'm definitely open to some light fourth-walling because he is Captain America and all that, I'm not so into someone knowing every intimate detail of his life. I'm happy to discuss in more detail with anyone who wants to play around with this, though. Otherwise, nothing else is coming to mind!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Steve took part in both the Libertas relief efforts and the supply run last month, so he's been very involved in damage control following Thorne's attack on the Free Cities. While war hasn't been officially declared yet, it seems like it's only a matter of time, so he will be open to any efforts to find safe harbors for Free Cities' Summoned and civilians alike. Beyond that, he is very much of the belief that it isn't right to keep people in this world against their will, so he'll do anything he can to help with researching more about the Singularity.

MORE STEBE PLEASE i enjoy them not quite clicking but not exactly disliking each other, either, and it's high time they get into some accidental shenanigans together now that they've had a couple of conversations

yes, it's a really interesting dynamic for budding CR, i agree! i think trying to make them work together in some capacity for the event would be fun
