State of the Game

August - September (2022)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

We encourage you to use the information here to springboard new CR or plots if you're so inclined. Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions.

Recently, we made updates to our Settings pages for the factions and the Singularity/Horizon. Current events and developments will now be listed on the pages for easy reference so remember to check back.

World Events

Nocwich | LINK
In August, all of the Summoned are invited to visit Nocwich's newly opened Oleuni Square. The week-long event culminated in a special full moon festival held in either Ikorr or Luna, which the Summoned could choose one to attend. The good cheer doesn't last long, and an urgent threat disrupts the evening.

As events unfold, influenced by the choices of the Summoned, the delegates are injured and Grigory Jannus of Thorne is assassinated, leading the Queen sending an attack on the Free Cities which destroys half of Libertas. Meanwhile, Nocwich moves forward by granting each faction a special resource from their lands - either a unique sap or a special type of metal.

After Thorne made the first move, the Free Cities fired back by setting ablaze Thorne's grain stores, farmlands, and harvest source. In both the Free Cities and Thorne, tensions are high with higher arrests, dissatisfaction and fear among the citizens, and the increased presence of soldiers. Solvunn, meanwhile, has maintained its neutrality by providing aid to Thorne and the Free Cities.
