This post is for coordination while the event is ongoing, to prevent the IC Event Log from being overrun by OOC mod and player communications. The comments section will contain applicable comments and forms for you to reply to as needed.

Mod Communications / Randomization

If you have something you want to do related to the event plot, you can communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting large resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission to proceed. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

You can also use this section to request a randomized mod roll.

Interactions

Several interactions are available. For Part 2, there are fewer mysteries to uncover, but plenty to interact with to see what happens. You can interact with something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Note that interactions might carry IC consequences, though we'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something. To interact, fill out the form, then comment under the corresponding item.

IC Exchanges

Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.

Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.

If there's any chance there are people strong-armed into this cult who don't really want to be here, like hell is she prepared to let anyone prevent them from leaving.]

I found one of them in the Horizon. Some of them have escaped through a portal hidden behind a wall, he says. They're somewhere high in the mountains. Maybe Hayle?

This one is in really bad shape. Still talking to him.

How many escaped? Do they have any supplies at all?

[ Istredd is injured and exhausted and still holding onto the webbing despite that. ]

[ He says sharply, and due to him speaking up a few times and keeping the water and food supply running, people do listen briefly. ]

Get out and escape, Jack and the other Summoned will take responsibility for them. Unless you want to stay in here.

Still getting details. He's kinda out of it. I don't think they have much in the way of supplies.

That's not good. The elements could kill them if their captors don't catch up and take care of that. Can you ask him to describe landmarks? The direction of the sun? Anything.

All he said so far is that it's cold and snowy, but he also said "like Mount Everest". So, somewhere that's REALLY high and surrounded by other mountains, maybe?

I know there's people who got kidnapped that know how to survive in the mountains. I'm trying to see if they got out with him. Like I said, he's in bad shape, it might take me a little bit to get him really talking.

He's real messed up, but the connection's good.

He has lesions, yeah. Lots of bandages. Sort of... like, dazed, I guess? [ She thinks about this for a moment, then adds, ] But actually, I met this guy once before, and he was kinda weird then too, so maybe that part is normal for him.

There are a lot of mountains according to the map. Can you ask him if he sees the Singularity?

Bad. He's got these like, weeping sores all over. Plus lots of other random shit, scrapes and wounds. Looks like they tried to bandage themselves up, but... I mean, it's the Horizon, Nadine. If this is what he looks like in here, then I don't wanna know what he looks like out there.

Request: No need for anything to be done any time soon, but after everyone is back in Nocwich and safe Kyle would try to speak with some of the Thornean officers/soldiers about providing Thornean Summoned basic weaponry when they leave the castle walls in the future, or at least allowing them to store their own near the guardhouse (assuming this isn't something that's already allowed!) Basically just looking to make his opinion known.

We're going as fast as he can, but he's messed up, Jesper.

He's from a world like mine though, and he said it's like same kind of place as the tallest mountain in our world. So it's probably somewhere SUPER high, with a lot of other mountains around.

Of course. If he can talk, he's alive. We'll just have to find a way to reach them while they remain so.

Are you still keeping near the Singularity?

Yeah, that doesn't bode well at all.

The teams are equipped with some heavy duty medical supplies, and we have plenty here, but that doesn't really help any of them now. If they're somewhere cold and with snow...damn it, not much helpful grows in cold snowy places.

Well, the last time I met him, I almost shot him in the face and he barely blinked, so.

Yeah. I think it's probably good for him to be here.

No, but it means there's clean-ish water, which I think is probably more than they had before.

It's that ritual. I don't think regular medicines are gonna help much.

I'm looking at a map. There's all those mountains to the north in Hayle like you said, but there are some all around the Singularity to the north, not far from the island Viktor says they're at. If the Singularity looks close to them, it's probably there.

I'm gearing up in warm clothes, we're going to have to go after them.

This man wouldn't happen to be missing a small finger and a leg - ?

I know, but it would help them keep their strength up and stave off regular infections and shock until they can be brought home.

At least this way, if there's communication, we can hopefully know exactly what we're going to be treating and have everything ready. We've just sort of been broadly preparing for anything.

[ She pauses. That is not something she had even thought to take notice of. She looks at their hands, and notices for the first time that he's missing a finger. ]

Um, yeah, he's missing his little finger on one hand.

I think I'm helping him. Somehow. He seems to be feeling better the longer I hold his hand. I don't think it'll actually cure him all the way, but it's something.

He says they didn't all get out. We're looking at two different rescue groups. One to hunt down the folks that escaped, the other to get to the ones left in the pit.
