This post is for coordination while the event is ongoing, to prevent the IC Event Log from being overrun by OOC mod and player communications. The comments section will contain applicable comments and forms for you to reply to as needed.

Mod Communications / Randomization

If you have something you want to do related to the event plot, you can communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting large resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission to proceed. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

You can also use this section to request a randomized mod roll.

Interactions

Several interactions are available. For Part 2, there are fewer mysteries to uncover, but plenty to interact with to see what happens. You can interact with something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Note that interactions might carry IC consequences, though we'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something. To interact, fill out the form, then comment under the corresponding item.

IC Exchanges

Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.

Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.

We're gonna need to brush you up on bro code after this. [Nero made that up, he doesn't know anything about bros or codes. He heard it on a cartoon or something.]

Also -- man, did Thor not tell you we did this? Lame.

[If there was anything to miss about Thor, it was sending a message right next to him to see him react in real-time and yell in all-caps.]

Should I have said you fell and hit every branch on the way down instead?

[ Surely being caught by him is less embarrassing than that. ]

You mean you would send mental messages to each other while in earshot? Yeah, that checks out.

First off, that would be a lie. I missed some.

That -- wait, what is that supposed to mean?

It just seems like the sort of thing that Thor would do.

You're not wrong there. He was... special.

No arguments there, even if I know you probably don't mean it in the kindest way.
He grows on you.

[ At that, Steve quits with the mental messages and just glances over at where Nero's standing a few feet away. The smile he's wearing is barely there, a ghost more than anything because he's too exhausted for much more, but it is there. ]

Thanks for being a friend to him while he was here.

[Ugh. Nero wrinkles his nose back at him. But maybe there's a shade of a smile when he looks away, hucking the mace onto his shoulder as they look out at real fuckin' sky. Fresh air. It's so easy to get lost in it. To think it's over.

But it isn't. They're still stuck on this stupid island.]

I'm not a complete dick. [He can't help but wonder what Steve would think -- or if he'd believe Nero'd made one -- about the shrine with Thor's name in the woods. All gods deserved one, right?

It was mostly a joke, but. He does miss him. The farms really need more guy energy.] He'd probably say I was, though.

He might, but he wouldn't mean it.

[ Thor's been gone from this place for a while now, and Steve's had to spend that time accepting that they might not ever cross paths again. It's a strange thought, when he knows that Thor (and a whole host of different versions of Thor) is out there somewhere. Scattered among the stars.

Before he realizes it, he's staring up at the sky overhead, studying the clouds. ]

To be honest, he gets along with most people. He was always giving his brother the benefit of the doubt, even when he was stabbing him in the back.

[Nero, curious, looks up with him. Just in case he's missed something.

Man. Now he thinks of it, Thor would've loved watching his ass fall outta the sky. But now he can just pretend it absolutely didn't happen, and live with the knowledge Wanda will never find out.

Hopefully.]

That's the brother that tried to kill him all the time, right? [He snorts.] Yeah, we had that in common.

[ Whether or not Wanda finds out probably depends on how closely she's monitoring the network. You're not out of the woods just yet, Nero. ]

And betrayed him, and tried to take over Earth one time...

[ He could go on. He glances over at Nero, brow furrowing. ]

You also have a brother like that?

[ He's yet to get an answer about how Nero is not exactly human. Maybe now is the time. ]

[Nero's gaze tightens. Not Steve's fault that some of that shit falls far too close to home. So he's not the only one with bad blood flowing through the family, huh? They had more in common than he'd first assumed.

Nero tchs, lugging the mace onto his shoulder, stepping further into the dead plants as they crumble underneath his steps. His boots, at least, aren't completely fucked; he'd been spending his time walking around the pit barefoot when it became obvious they weren't getting out fast. Now they're in good shape for escape.

Though he'd had to chase a few rats off from chewing the leather.]

To be fair, he only tried to kill me once. [Telling Credo how wrong he was hadn't stopped him. And led to one of the worst moments of his life -- when Kyrie looked at him with horror, with fear, for the first time.

He'd just been wrong. But Credo realizing he was wrong hadn't saved him.] But I know other people who tried it. Taking over the world. Always makes them look fuckin' stupid.

Right, only once. [ Steve raises an incredulous eyebrow at that, but he will admit that it's not much compared to what Thor had gone through with his brother. Still doesn't make it anywhere near the realm of okay, but then again, his best friend tried to kill him multiple times, so it's not like he can talk.

Still, he'd maintain that was different. ]

Anyway, that's... not something I'd want to share in common with anyone, but it ended up being a pretty frequent occurrence back home. Necessitating the whole superhero team.

[ If Nero knows Wanda well and knew Thor, Steve's going to assume someone mentioned that little detail.

He crosses his arms over his chest then, adjusting his lean against the tree as he gives Nero another once-over. ] Hey, so, can I ask you something?
