EVENT #12: INVOCATION - COORDINATION POST (PART 2)

Event #12 - COORDINATION ( 2 )

This post is for coordination while the event is ongoing, to prevent the IC Event Log from being overrun by OOC mod and player communications. The comments section will contain applicable comments and forms for you to reply to as needed.

Use this post to:
◎ Coordinate event plots with the mods
◎ Request a mod dice roll
◎ Investigate or interact with a plot point
◎ Submit noticeable actions
◎ Write rapid IC exchanges
If you have any questions, see the Questions thread on the OOC Plotting Post.
Available Forms
For details on each form, see the sections below.
Be sure to reply under your assigned category if applicable.
Mod Communications / Randomization
If you have something you want to do related to the event plot, you can communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting large resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission to proceed. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

You can also use this section to request a randomized mod roll.

Interactions
Several interactions are available. For Part 2, there are fewer mysteries to uncover, but plenty to interact with to see what happens. You can interact with something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Note that interactions might carry IC consequences, though we'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something. To interact, fill out the form, then comment under the corresponding item.

IC Exchanges
Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.

Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.

Start an IC exchange

Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Notable Actions
Submit any notable actions that are likely to gain attention from other players such as fights or disturbances.

[Alucard takes the brooch in hand, careful with how he picks it up. It is solidly made, and he considers it as Sten explains. As an indentity marker, Alucard's first thought is religion and the visual language of the church, and--

--oh, he doesn't like the new faith part.

Carefully, he offers the brooch back to Sten, not wanting it to get lost.]

And here I was afraid that they might be able to invoke some larger spell through the sigils left and gather more...whatever they might need for their ritual. That is a small relief, although I can't say that a faith that resorts to this kind of work is a preferred alternative. [He pauses to rub the bridge of his nose, slowly processing the idea that is starting to form in his head.]

This incident will be resolved, in time, but we may not be able to gather all of those responsible in one fell swoop. Do you think this faith survives or evolves further even if their leader is destroyed? Or even elements of it, given what they may believe about the relationship between gods and the Summoned?

[Sten shakes his head.]

There will always be ones who develop extreme beliefs. Endsmuth, as you might've heard, bans all traces of magic. If I may be frank, the unique link the Summoned have with the Singularity and each other is unmistakable. The only difference is how that link is interpreted by others.

[He puts the brooch away again. He won't deny his people's own interest in the Summoned individuals now that they're in Abraxas.]

Much about you and yours is unknown: your home worlds, your abilities... if you don't fill in the blanks yourselves, folks are apt to do it for you.

Then that is a very particular problem, as I know most of the Summoned prefer privacy and to limit what details they do share about their home. I admit, that is self selecting as those are mostly who I associate with, but I take your point. [It is one Alucard does not care for.] We're seen as a collective whole rather than as individuals, and interpreting our presence is everyone's business up to and including the Singularity.

[He doesn't like it. In fact, Alucard hates it. But there's no denying that Sten is right.] And if we fill in the collective blanks, does anything get solved? Or does the nature of it all change?

[Again, Sten shakes his head.]

I can't predict people any more than you. Although we can all agree, I think, that every road has its hazards.

[His reply carries diplomatic restraint, stopping short of making an outright suggestion for what the Summoned like Alucard should do.]

[Alucard can take the hint. It is against every part of his nature of course, and he can list five people off the top of his head who will feel the exact same way. Sten's observations are impossible to count as incorrect though, and this cannot, cannot happen again.]

There are probably some in our numbers who are better suited for that kind of craftsmanship. I'll make the suggestion to them in the weeks that follow.

[It isn't a thank you, but it is in the neighborhood.]

Your perspective is invaluable. I also don't wish to monopolize your time, given the circumstance.
