Activity Check: March 2023
It's time for activity check! Activity requirements are outlined below. If you have any additional questions, you can reach out to us on the FAQ.

  • Players will be required to link at minimum two threads with a brief summary of what each thread entails. Some months will have specific goals or events where linking extra threads related to those plots will result in extra rewards.

  • There is no minimum comment count for linked threads, since we understand that sometimes threads were started late in the month or are slow for reasons of conflicting availability. That said, we are not a check-in AC game. Submitted threads should indicate some interactivity with another player, and we expect a certain level of overall engagement with the game's plot and playerbase. If we notice a pattern of responding to threads only after the AC post has gone up, making threads solely to fulfill AC requirements, or frequently dropped threads (especially after AC is approved), we will have an individual discussion with the player in question.

  • TDM threads, network threads, and inbox threads are acceptable as proofs for AC, but should not make up the total of both proofs (i.e. your two thread proofs submitted for AC cannot consist only of inbox threads). Further, at least one proof should be a log thread - both proofs cannot be network-style comment spam.

  • Backdated threads from the previous month are acceptable, so long as the comments linked take place during the current AC month and the thread has not been used for a previous AC or for AC rewards. Backdated threads that were started at the end of the previous month are especially fine. If we notice a consistent pattern of backdated threads started at the beginning of the previous month with very sparse comments or regularly dropped threads, then we may have an individual discussion with the player in question.

  • If you plan on using additional threads in a log post or top level to purchase bonus Activity Rewards, please link individual threads when filling out the main Activity Check rather than the entire top level or log, to help us keep track which thread has already been submitted where.

  • You may hiatus once every four months (so, once you use a hiatus, you must make activity for the next three months). If you have extenuating RL circumstances that would require you to hiatus more, please contact the mods. There are no strikes separate from hiatuses, but you are not required to hiatus in advance of AC so if you find yourself without the necessary activity you can use your hiatus pass.

  • Failing to post to AC before closure will count as idling out. If you think you'll be unable to post during this time period or extenuating RL circumstances prevented you from posting please contact the mods.

NOTE:
  1. We will accept Quests as completed as long as the thread is submitted by the end of the March AC period, and consists of a few tags from the characters involved. Please submit your quest threads to us for your reward even if they haven't reached a formal completion point in the thread itself!

  2. If you participated in Part 1 and/or Part 2, you can request a reward gain during any Activity Check before the start of the next main event in June. Though not required, we encourage players to consider a gain that reflects their experiences throughout the event! See Reward Gains for details.

  3. New submissions for Plot Engagement are currently closed. They'll open again once the current event is wrapped.

Player Name: Dee
Character Name: Istredd
Thread 1 Link + Summary: Ciri and Istredd have an aggressive conflict after her ritual. Nero saves him.
Thread 2 Link + Summary: Istredd meets Matt for the first time in an unlikely situation.

Power or physical gain: This is going to be a weird one but Istredd helped open two shrines and he sensed the shrine monster within. The shrine monster had impressive long legs as large as pillars. Connected to this, I would like Istredd to have a type of Elasticity/stretch limb situation where he can stretch his arms up high and make himself taller with his legs. He will not gain superior strength or durability due to this ability, it solely just makes limbs longer. He wants to grab those hard to reach tall books or make himself even taller. He cannot make his limbs shorter or distort them in any other way. He can only start at a foot and steadily gets longer to a maximum of 10 feet. In the start he can only maintain it for about 5 seconds before it snaps back, but with practice it can go up to 5 minutes. Not that he'll want Gumby limbs that long lol.

Notable actions: Istredd became the water boy in the Pit (Nero nickname) by trying to keep their water and food resources organized. He was one of the few who did not get ritualized and then he cured Kell (temporary madness) and cured Steve's mind illness by taking it on himself. He also helped open two shrines and made friends with the mysterious acolyte/agreed to help her escape. In the escape, he stayed behind after protecting Ciri and Caitlyn. 

Character Name: Jayce Talis
Thread 1 Link + Summary: Jayce and Viktor talk about their tech and about the ethics of making Vi weapons.
Thread 2 Link + Summary: Jayce meets Dr. Claire on the network and gives her an update on the conflict with Thorne and FC.

Power or physical gain: Based on his LoL ability To The Skies, I would like Jayce to be able to 'target' someone from a distance and teleport directly to them. It would not be long distances or break any teleporting rules. It has to be within sight line and start out about fifteen feet but with use and training get to as far as he can actually see clearly. It'll never be somewhere he can't see. He would not do any damage with this ability, it is purely a teleport jump to someone he can see. It isn't him stepping through a portal, it would appear like a 'jump' from him to there.

Notable actions: Jayce and Viktor used their tech genius and the help of others running around with receivers to pinpoint where the Lost were kidnapped too. With the help of Stephen and Sam, they found the island! Jayce also went to Solvunn and brought with him a bunch of tools to be a nice guest, and he offered helped gear up everyone going on search/retrieval teams. Jayce went with the retrieval team and will be leaning on the diplomatic side to deal with the conflict.

Character Name: Jesper Fahey
Thread 1 Link + Summary: Jesper asked people on the network to help identify a monster Julie drew that attacked Inej.
Thread 2 Link + Summary: An emotional reunion with the Crows.

Power or physical gain: Keeping with my Rabbit Jesper series, I'm asking for Supernatural Agility. Jesper will find himself with better balance, motor coordination, and reflexes. While at first this will just make it easy for him to not knock his head on the top of a door, eventually it can develop into something similar to Super Parkour where he can climb up walls faster and dramatically swoosh his coat while he dodges obstacles. It will not be the equivalent of a spidey sense or anything, he's just very agile and reactive.

Notable actions:  Jesper killed a lot of bandits and tortured some and then went to Aquila and actually went deep sea diving which tbh is fucking hilarious in retrospect. He eventually went out with the search group to murder more people and save his loved ones. Jesper made a public spectacle of himself by shouting at Thorne that they couldn't have Mat back and implying they were holding Summoned hostage. They said Mat could leave, Mat decided not to leave. This is gonna be great for everyone, totally.
