State of the Game

April - May (2023)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions.

The Summoned Conclave is hosted in the comments section of each State of the Game. We'll provide the structure. Players are not obliged to participate, but we encourage you to do so! See here for details.

Spring Update

In case you missed it, we've made a few updates to the game, including adding a Lore page with seasonal festivals and events, a Gods page, and revising the layout. There's also now a Sticky on the main log comm with a form for posting logs!

Motions from April's meeting have been passed for each faction. Thorne's trusted Summoned at a certain influence rank can now carry small personal weapons within the Castle, a permanent portal to Aquila has opened in the Free Cities - though a toll is required - and Solvunn's community has come together to sustain a transport system via goat carriage and portal. Interrogating Josselyn | Link
Prior to her execution, the Summoned were allowed to briefly question Josselyn Creed. A few answers were provided regarding her goals, beliefs, and ambitions.

Execution & Gala | Link
At the end of April, Josselyn Creed was executed through the will of the Old Gods, according to Solvunn's traditions. A few days later, the nations hosted a weekend gala to celebrate the brave efforts of the Summoned and the safe return of the missing. Several of the Summoned contributed efforts to the event, including providing decorations, food, and entertainment.

Peculiar lights have been spotted at the furthest outskirts of town. No one quite yet knows what they mean.

A five-day festival is held across the Free Cities, from Aquila to Libertas to Cadens, to celebrate the sciences, arts, and the reopening of the Old Public Hall. Speeches were given by the newly minted representatives of the Free Cities Summoned Conclave.

May have been spotted in and around the Academies seeking information about a strange mechanical lizard. One of the researchers now has temporary custody of the lizard's eggs. They are waiting to hatch.
