Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-faction CR here! Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 17th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 19th. This month's event will see characters facing some deadly enemies, both oddly familiar and not.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Istredd is a professional nerd (researcher, scholar archeologist) and powerful mage from the Witcher world. He is very smart and academic and loves libraries and books. Always the books. He used to be isolated and distant from people but he's become more social here. New people can come to him at the mingle to learn about magic and go into the Horizon. If you want to handwave your character going into the Horizon for the first time with him, please go ahead and do so! Just lmk.

Istredd believes strongly in telling people about the true situation in Thorne and cautioning them not to trust the place. He has a very cool Horizon library. He and his partner Lucifer are in each other's back pocket most of the time. He is going to be canon updated to Witcher s3 next month so for now he is spoiler free!

CR YOU WANT: nerd friends activate! If you'd like to learn magic or anything, he's a great teacher and happy to help. He's terrible at small talk but pretty good at being informative, so having that sort of back and forth is great. He's passionate about magic and the Singularity so if you have questions about that, come at him. He's an awkward nerd but a pretty nice one.

Crane is a polite and reserved intellectual whose sadistic nature creeps around behind a calm and impersonal exterior. His authority as chief of psychiatry allows him to terrify his patients and hide his involvement in crime. His expert testimony shields gangsters from prison and he is well respected. He is a brilliant scientist who loves the thrill of research. He just happens to get his kicks by experimenting on people without their consent.

CR YOU WANT:

Crane will talk with anyone in order to learn what makes them tick. Engage him in discussions about literature. Discuss philosophy and learn how he views the world. Debate the merits of classical music and science. Or make the fantastic decision to seek therapy. Crane loves probing minds and his psychological expertise enables him to provide insight and perspective. Seek his guidance on loneliness or the varied challenges of living away from home. Are you experiencing psychological distress after a recent event? Seek help. He comes highly recommended.

Open to most things! Crane is a villain so I want to be careful about outing him. He is focused on building a positive reputation to mask his immoral behavior.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Jesper is an extroverted, warm, friendly, flirtatious gunslinger who loves people and he is part of the welcoming committee of the Free Cities. He is charming, easy-going, and has a harem of lovers here and is very lucky for it! He has supernatural abilities that makes him a perfect shot and a transmutation expert, which he used to be afraid of as bad things happened to Grisha back home, but he's freer with it now. To a point, as he doesn't want to catch the attention of the Cadens government.
If you want a lot of info about being here or the state of things, he is also a good person to talk to. Istredd's a little more fact based, Jesper's cheerful about it. Don't entirely trust his exterior as he's a cold as ice killer when he needs to be and he's got some stuff going on he doesn't make publically known. Generally he's a good guy.
CR YOU WANT: He can walk you through the situation, just ask him, he'll be picking people up at the barracks or bringing them to the inn so they can settle in there. Be his pal, it's really fun, I promise. He is a man of action so other fighters might find a friend in him.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: yen is a sorceress who has survived some (not great) shit to learn how to become powerful and channel the chaos/magic within her, sometimes successfully and sometimes not (we support women's wrongs). she’s very headstrong, can be extremely sarcastic, and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. this has included - in the past - playing the Court Life Game. due to her upbringing and teaching she has learned that the most efficient way to get where she wants to go is to use people, to see them as a means to an end, but she's started questioning that a bit more lately. somewhere under it all is growing a moral compass that is generally drawn for those who cannot protect themselves. she can be short on patience, but also does have a dark sense of humor and can also be gentle, every once in a while, if she really wants to be. all in all she is powerful, kind of terrifying, and altogether kind of a huge mess - but you wouldn't be able to tell that when seeing her around the castle.

since arriving in thorne she's been Playing That Court Game, which has landed her a fairly close position with the queen. she's also been in thorne the longest out of any of the other summoned, which of course means there are plenty (PLENTY) or rumors about her around.
CR YOU WANT: I am open to pretty much ANYTHING at this point, but particularly where it comes to building and managing the amount of people who she's kinda accidentally allowed into her life. she's lived most of her years for herself and by herself, and recent events have caused her to turn around and realize she may or may not have a Group Of People that are hers. part of her still views those connections as Weakness, but she's also a bit too selfish to Let Them Go. on top of that, as mentioned, she is officially the longest summoned who has been in thorne, and her connection to the queen has put her into a very powerful but also very dangerous and complicated position, and her opening up/depending on others has been a slow process that she's still working on. i would LOVE to keep growing her list of students who she tutors and/or bullies where it comes to abraxan magic as well as their own canon magic. she's focusing on that a lot more lately, with a new kind of rigor, so there will be plenty of opportunities to touch base there. also anyone who wants to be frenemies, to bicker and bond and be those people, she is here. she desperately needs so many lady friends y'all help her there are so many MEN in thorne.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

- MAGIC STUDYING: especially anyone who is or wants to be students of magic! yennefer has, for the last few months, been giving lectures to local mages and summoned alike on herbology and alchemy; but where it concerns summoned, she is known to be open to private lessons about how to use your own magic, how to understand abraxas magic, and everything in between. she's not a N I C E teacher, exactly, but she's a good one. anyone who is looking for a mentor to help them with magic they're not used to having or don't know how to control, she's actually pretty decent, if an unforgiving, teacher of sorts.

- RUMORS RE: HER MAGIC: there are quite a few rumors around the castle about how she is known to be one of the more powerfull mages of the summoned who stayed in thorne, but no one has seen her really DO magic for some time, hmmmm, mysterious. the biggest thing to note here, though, is that i do plan on canon updating yennefer at the end of this month - which means she's gonna be back and as chaos-fueled as ever, so if there are any conversations you want to have about this we'll want to do them in august!

- COURTLY POLITICS: she is known for being quite close to Queen Ellya and her court, though if you get her one on one she may let it slip that it's a bit more complicated than that. she is well known around the castle with this association and would be someone playing the Political Game in ways she doesn't really want to, but has gotten caught up in thanks to her own decisions. she has a LOT to say about the higher-ups in the castle and has been around long enough to have Opinions, but anyone who wants to talk politics/to hear from her about some more inner circle stuff, she is YOUR GIRL.

- she's real hot and also would not be against sleeping around/stepping on some people. c: SAY THE WORD. though she will leave in the morning and she's not here for the distinctly romantic side of things. there are also most likely a few rumors going around that she's already got a Few Consorts in the castle, and is close to (if not already consorting with) a few others, and she's not ever going to deny that.

- she is always in need of some more lady friends, there are so many men here good GODS. HELP. but especially lady friends who want to talk about being powerful and kind of scary and who may or may not want some sisterhood stuff going on.

- truthfully she has settled into thorne pretty well, despite how much she might claim to hate it, and i have some plans to get her delving into some more intense magical sides of things - especially regarding the singularity. but we shall see where the event takes us, too. c:

CHARACTER INFORMATION: once upon a time, steve harrington was super popular, great with the ladies, and the king of hawkins high. then he found out his town is kind of cursed and has this really weird ‘other world’ that ends up crossing over with his, and nothing has been the same. there are monsters, girls with super powers, a bunch of kids who are the only reason he, or really anyone, is alive, and oh - also he was totally dumped by his gf (who he was def not completely in love with)? needless to say, none of those earlier things apply anymore, and steve is working hard to figure out who he is through all that. at the heart of it, he’s a good kid who is doing his best and he's had a hell of a reality check (honestly, he feels a little like that reality hasn't stopped checking him for the last three years.) and he may or may not have REALLY great hair.
CR YOU WANT: more friends!!!! also more people to just straight up adopt him. he might be 20 but he is also Just A Guy. just a little guy. in solvunn. which is not made for Little Guys. i would also love for him to flirt around a little, maybe just be a little bit of a loser now that he's not straight up terrified all the time, etc etc etc. he's been here a year! A WHOLE YEAR.

- anyone from a semi-normal version of the United Stated who knows who Queen Is? he attaches onto those sorts pretty quickly because he's uh. missing home. so. c:

Jasper is a tall and muscular demon who uses magical glamour to seem human. Gaslighting saw him mature into an arrogant and cold man who betrayed his kingdom: his master abusing him while possessing his father like a skinsuit. He is a sorcerer and war strategist trained in the art of combat who became the right hand of darkness.

Plus he was summoned before! Returning will bestow old memories that create a cognitive itch that needs scratching. Those who knew him are free to remember CR - and I am always here for planning!

Belonging: Jasper struggled to find his place in his world. He sought true connections but struggled and embraced the darkness. I would love to see him struggle with his fears and find a place where he belongs.

Destiny: Jasper is constantly questioning his own identity and purpose. His dedication and willingness to serve exist because of his search for meaning. If your character is dead or dying do they accept their fate or fight death?

Humanity: His obsession with power corrupted him and he became a monster. He exulted in his new power and cast off the shackles of his humanity. Will he meet other supernatural beings and gain a new perspective on humanity and the world?

Love: His unrequited love for his friend was a source of great pain and suffering. He turned to destructive behaviours to cope with rejection and express despair. Can others help him understand love, relate to people and express his feelings?

Power: His admiration for strength and bravery became a lust for power. He sold his soul to the devil and lost his sense of morality. I would love for people to ask if his quest for power is worth it. Is he willing to destroy himself and others in his pursuit?

Redemption: Jasper betrayed his kingdom and humanity. But he was once an honourable man. His soul is stained by his actions but has the potential for redemption. Will he find true friends and overcome his past? Will he redeem himself?

Vengeance: His warped sense of justice led him to betray his oldest friend. He was blinded by rage and became irrational. I wonder if he will find peace and make friends. Will he find purpose and learn justice can be achieved without vengeance?

CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Viktor is a scientist-slash-genius engineer-slash-BIG NERD. He's spent the last 6-7 years developing magitech with his research partner, which has not necessarily played out as he would have hoped, with much of his work being co-opted by rich people who are only interested in doing rich people things. He comes off as a fussy academic but is actually an agent of chaos who loves to break rules and do weird science and ponder orbs. Despite his general penchant for putting himself in danger by screwing around with unknown forces he does not fully understand and can't control, he is an idealistic, highly principled individual who believes that the purpose of scientific advancement is to improve lives. He’s soft-spoken but quietly ambitious, intellectually curious, and kind of an obsessive workaholic who is preoccupied with legacy.

I have an info and permissions post here and his app is here for further reading. Also a general heads up that Viktor is terminally ill—I content warn accordingly when relevant, but he basically has Fantasy Consumption and the desire to Not Die is a large part of his character motivation at his current canon point. VIKTOR IS NO LONGER TERMINALLY ILL. I still have an opt out just in case. Comments are screened!

CR YOU WANT:

✷ Science types, baybe. He works/studies at the Grand Academy of General Science and likes to be in tune with the general scientific goings-on of the city. If you’re an engineer or a mechanic or another scientifically-inclined individual he would like to connect and swap notes! Also, you know, people to do weird magitech experiments with?? Technologically-inclined people to mentor??? He has, like, an undisclosed number of degrees and likes to talk about math and physics and stuff.
✷ BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS. He wants to connect with people who can do things that he cannot, like go out on dangerous adventures and acquire exciting resources and bring him cool things. IN RETURN: He can fix your shit. He can make you stuff, provided it's not guns! I really want to lean into this now that he has more time/energy for it.
✷ idk. friends. People to get him out of his comfort zone, which is working until 4am and then falling asleep at his desk. He’s also currently having a really bad time because Jayce is gone, which means he’s slipping back into bad habits (not eating or sleeping, working all of the time, etc.) so he needs someone who will tell him to go to bed and/or to stop tampering with the Horrors.

✷ Generally, his work involves faking magic via technological methods so he’s very jazzed about the real thing. His fancy Horizon power is identify, which means he can determine the magical properties of something by touching it. He can do this. For you!!! Beyond that he is usually testing projects in the Horizon. if you want to stop by and say hi and ask him what the hell he’s doing.
✷ Once upon a time Viktor did some illegal human experimentation on himself to cure his terminal illness. It worked! But it was definitely shady and in the aftermath the government raided his lab and stole all of the stuff he didn’t manage to burn and/or smash. You are welcome to have heard about this if your character pays attention to such things. He’s also level 7 now so feel free to have heard of his additional exploits with regards to various inventions, planting trackers on people to find out where Josselyn’s cult was kidnapping to, etc. As an added bonus he can enhance his own magic with BLOOD, so, if those things sound like a weird hooks I can offer that.
✷ Viktor has a venture for all your "making things" needs. Bring him your terrible napkin scribbles and he will make your dreams a reality. Would love to have him get working on some new projects now that he isn’t worried about, you know, dying. Pitch him any and all of your ideas, no matter how stupid.
✷ HELP WANTED!! Viktor cannot manage said business on his own, especially now that it’s expanded to Aquila and probably Libertas soon also. He has his their eye on Nocwich too. Do you have a character who needs a JOB? A scientifically-inclined guy who might want to be a workshop assistant? Someone who can take the occasional trip to Aquila to manage operations? There may be an OPPORTUNITY for YOU.
✷ Viktor is kind of quietly losing it and has some secret designs to puzzle out the Summoning ritual so that he can create the universe that he wants (this is bad of him). I would like him to talk to other people who plan to stay in Abraxas, or desperately want to leave Abraxas, and also maybe anyone who has knowledge of the multiverse. Just think it might be interesting!!!

CHARACTER INFORMATION: hello hi let’s talk about captain america. and about how this dude (who genuinely cares way too much and somehow managed to keep ahold of some pretty naive beliefs and hopes for the future) who has spent his whole life trying to CHANGE THE WORLD, and found his way to do that by giving shit to the one guy who most people were too intimidated to give shit to (aka cap #1). anyway. that cap has 'retired' (it's complicated) and after some soul-searching and a couple of missions over the span of an mcu tv show, sam took up the shield and is now driven by what being cap means to him in the current day. and, of course, how he can help as many people as possible. he is an eternal optimist, believes in the good in people, and WILL give you a Captain America Speech (and won’t regret it). he’s doing his best and will continue to do so, that much you can always depend on.
CR YOU WANT:

sam is on a mission to adopt/connect with/be friends with as much of the entire game as he can - this is driven pretty intensely by the fact he believes that the best and only way for the summoned to stay safe is to stick together/protect each other, so being separated by factions is NOT going to be a problem for him. he already feels somewhat responsible for everyone anyway (whether you want him to or not, he's been here since the beginning so this is just gonna be a thing that happens) so he's happy to help provide a safe place to go (quite literally if you're in cadens), someone to talk to, or a dad (slash cool uncle) if you just want a hug.

in general, he is looking for allies, friends, or found family (habits are hard to break), and is happy to make connections with ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

generally, cr for sam rn has fallen into three categories: He Has Adopted, He Is (Going To Be) Family, or He Will Protect (sometimes a mixture). if you fall (or want to fall) into any of these, hello hi come talk to me. c:

i am also not against negative cr for any reason so if you think your kid will butt heads??? let's go for it - it might take a sec because sam isn't looking to make enemies and has some pretty impressive patience, but we can always get there. i am not at all against getting some good guys vs. bad guys energy up in here, either, so if you want an Enemy!!!

- UNOFFICIAL CADENS WELCOME COMMITTEE: if you're in the cities, chances are sam is going to come find you. he has a routine that when new people start showing up, he tends to be out at the barracks pretty much as soon as he can. he is a name you will also most likely be told/pointed in the direction of if you're new as well, since he's a p high ranking influence AND he's made a name for himself as the sort of 'if they're lost, point them to me' kinda guy. he is willing to answer anything and everything about this place as he's been here since the beginning, as long as you're not throwing up any weird red flags. C: this includes history of the summoned, the political status of the world at large, etc.

the welcome committee is basically just...sam and hilda and jesper, who go out of their way to make sure new summoned don't fall through the cracks. which happens to also involve a welcome party every now and then, too! in the log comm will be this cycle's party (posted by hilda and ota for free cities), so if you're looking for a place to jump in, that's a great start.

ALSO IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE COMMITTEE you should also talk to him. he and hilda and jesper have a real fun time.

- POLITICAL SPHERE: so right now sam is (unintentionally) kinda a big deal. he's level seven, which means it's entirely possible you'll hear his name mentioned out and about the general populace of cadens (and beyond). he has met with marlo on a couple of occassions, and tends to be present for any and all political meetings, and is someone that the locals know pretty well. all this to say, TOO, if you're interested in getting your character involved in the politics of the cities, SAM IS HERE TO HELP AND WE CAN FIND A WAY TO GET YOUR CHARACTER involved. whether or not he wants to be wrapped up in it, he's going to. c: just let me know!

- THE SUMMONED AT LARGE: right now sam's kinda also in the process of building up some close connections between thorne, free cities, and solvunn among the summoned themselves. he's in the space of "we all need to stick together and stay out of the rising tensions - war is never good for anyone, ESPECIALLY for outsiders". so that can involve running into each other in the horizon, reaching out to people he might not already know, etc.

- FAMILY DINNERS AT MAG'S: if your character is in the free cities, whether or not they've settled at the inn, Sam has fairly frequent family dinners where he takes over the main dining hall portion of Mag's and just makes a huge ass meal for whoever wants to come by. These are usually every two-three weeks, so if your character has been around enough/heard about it, the invite is always open. I don't always put up logs for these, just because I don't want to clutter things up, but if you want your character to run into sam there and/or other people, it's a setting that is open! these tend to be a lot more chill than the Welcome Committee Parties.

Aloy hails from a post-apocalyptic version of Earth that was ended by a robot apocalypse and reconstituted via an extremely complex AI-governed terraforming system. This system is currently not in good shape! But it’s much better than it was, thanks to Aloy’s endeavors, though the aforementioned system still churns out a bunch of robot dinosaurs that she needs to kill, a lot. As a result she’s an extremely capable machine hunter slash RPG protagonist slash problem solver who was raised an outcast but has since saved the world like three entire times, and will have to do it one more.

Or she WOULD if she wasn’t HERE. Generally speaking, she’s a determinator with poor social skills but has recently come around to the fact that it’s nice to have a team, and friends, and people she can count on. All of that’s GONE NOW and she’s pretty mad about it, but she’s a good person at her core, and cares very deeply about helping people and not making things worse.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Altaïr comes from the corner of an alternate-history canon with some interesting wrinkles in how the fiction intersects with the historical record. He is a member of the brotherhood of Assassins, which was a known (if secretive) faction during his era; unlike other AC installments, if you landed in real-world Damascus circa 1191 and asked how to get to the Assassins' fuck-off huge fortress, someone could actually give you directions. (And then ask why the fresh hell you wanted to go there.)

He is freshly from the end of the first Assassin's Creed game, which means he has recently gotten a lot wiser about the meaning of his creed, what his place is in the world, and why you shouldn't be an enormous douchebag just because you're a star athlete. With the enthusiasm of a new convert, he's interested in learning about absolutely everything, so please someone club him in the head so he'll sleep at some point.

Altaïr also has a fun color-coded sixth sense that tells him whether someone is a friend/enemy/etc (NOT whether they are a good/bad person). If you'd like to set a baseline of how your character would appear to him/whether I should OOCly always use/never use/ask before using Eagle Vision on your character, please fill out this handy-dandy permissions post! Last month was mostly continuing older threads since I was on vacation for a bunch of this, so I'd love to get new CR/projects/adventures going! His and Hilda's lizard grandchildren hatched and appear to be completely normal. Maybe some are adoptable? Not trying to make IC pets a big thing but Altaïr is already like Oh Hell No I'm Not Taking Care Of All Those.

Aside from that, I have ongoing interest in:
-Info-gathering! This isn't really a defined project, but while Altaïr appreciates that Free Cities leadership has not attempted to conscript the Summoned, he doesn't trust that this will never happen and his default state is suspicion.

-Money! Dude is not materialistic but he's pragmatic enough to understand that he needs some cash to get by. Since he doesn't plan to be a soldier, I'm always up for him doing weird odd jobs. One-offs are fine but ongoing "business" relationships make great CR building.

-Exploration! Oh god he always wants to explore so bad. At his canon point, he just saw a projection of the world-as-a-globe and had his mind opened to just how much there is to learn, so he wants to check out E V E R Y T H I N G in this new environment. Also he has to get informed if he wants to blend in as needed. Dude is a NERD.

-Philosophy! Come talk to Altaïr about how you see the world. Then let him tell you his own thoughts. Do you like Empedocles? (said in the same tone of voice as "do you like anime?") He's not going to start recruiting for the brotherhood of Assassins without any infrastructure backing him up, but he'll absolutely seek to share the guidance of their philosophy.

-Murder! Okay, well, this is not ICly a priority, he is an Assassin but doesn't just kill for the sake of killing. That said, it's what he's good at, and I am down to clown with any such plots that involve these skills.

Raised by an ex-Baseball player father and full time homemaker mother, but born to a hairdresser and- professional scoundrel (the best way to describe Angelo). Who grew up uneasy how she didn't fit with her family, with all the whispers from their friends of how she didn't fit with her brother and parents.

She spent most of high school stewing in all these reminders she didn't fit, only able to put this behind her once she found out about her birth parents and her actual heritage. To find the lines between what parts of her are Kennish, and what parts are Vasquez or Sorrento. Eventually carving out her own path, and making herself comfortable in the world around her.

Essentially she's a headstrong, passionate, capable student, able to learn whatever she sets her mind to if she really wants it. Loyal to her family to the point of near stupidity (she's got a felony thanks to her sister, who did not get mentioned enough here more on that at the bottom of this). She is going to make messes and get in trouble but she means well I swear.

You can guess from the name of the show, two girls were switched at birth when they were born. John and Kathryn, former baseball player and housewife, brought home Bay Kennish. While Regina Vasquez and Angelo Sorento brought home Daphne Vasquez. Fifteen years later an oddity in Bay's bloodwork proved she wasn't the Kennishes' biological daughter. Angelo already out of the picture because he and Regina found out about the switch when Daphne was three and lost her hearing. It's a whole thing, let's move on.

Daphne, Regina, and the Kennishes became a weird complicated blended family. Bay and Daphne had a rough road. But after a lot of events, the two grow into the space of 'sisters.' Which gets more complicated by the very odd episode Bay arrived from.

Yuletide Fortune Tellers is a Christmas episode, the blended family trying to get through Christmas together. Regina having no interest in a big to-do, Kathryn making a dozen different kinds of Christmas cookies. Bay and Daphne casually muse about how it might be easier if the switch never happened. Which- the got as a whole plot steal of It's a Wonderful Life.

Bay woke up as "Daphne Sorrento" a Deaf art student to a functional alcoholic mother on the wrong side of town. Daphne woke up as Bay Kennish, olympic soccer hopeful with a stay at home dad as her coach, and her mom too busy running a skin care company. The girls have to understand their real mothers to get this Christma Miracle undone and returned to normal. (But Bay is now here.)

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Full list of content warnings here. Kyle's past is pretty heavy, it involves a lot of trauma dealing with his world's church, his upbringing in a monastery where he was trained to be a priest-assassin-spy. There's also some world-hopping and memory issues that persist since his arrival here. He's come to terms with his church as an institution being not so great, but he still holds an unbreakable devotion to his deity and has been learning to separate what the church taught him versus what he knows his god's all about for real.

He's been in Abraxas since last August, regained a decent chunk of his memory and continues to fill in blanks, though a lot of memories seem to contradict each other - like how sometimes he remembers saving his sister's living bones from the temple she was held at, but in the present that temple was destroyed decades ago so (???) he does his best not to think about it too hard unless he has to.

CR YOU WANT: Friends, enemies, everything in between. Not super picky! He's previously been in a kind of survival undercover-mode and hiding everything from his powers to his past, borderline lying about it sometimes - but since Event #12 he's been more open about things.

He's got a lot of contacts (friends) in other factions, once you gain his trust he's willing to trade information. He's also willing to help newbies get their footing with general world/lore info, I'm happy to either play this out or handwave.

Because 1) he thinks he was dying before he came here and 2) he believes this is where his god wants him to be, Kyle is starting to wonder about the long term in Abraxas on a personal level. He has a soft spot for other people who want to make a home here, and in general is very protective of the people he gets close to even if he doesn't always show it.

➔ FACTION/WAR STUFF: Because of his own interpretation of their situation + religious beliefs Kyle is dedicated to protecting the Singularity, which at the moment has him invested in Thorne's stability as a faction, since it's them and Solvunn standing in the way of the Free Cities intention to destroy it. As things stand, that means his support is toward protecting the status quo, despite his dislike of the queen and the idea of the Thorne monarchy gaining control of the Singularity. The king seems more reasonable and uses a lot of buzz words that Kyle likes, but he's still a mortal man without divine right behind him and Kyle is pretty lukewarm on nobility (to be fair he's pretty ehhhh on democracy too). Also? the current issue of succession right now seems super questionable to him............

He's been seen 'teleporting' but the full extent of his abilities aren't widely known - depending on wards he's able to spy on people from the Gray Space. He's also pretty morally grey, and will compartmentalize to do a murder or other shady things if absolutely necessary. Happy to plot with people, either as a support for any plans or a hinderance!

In the past he's been openly wary about the crown, but more recently he carries an official brooch from the crown as one of their couriers and it's known that he had an audience with the king a few months ago, so if anyone wants to question his motives/loyalties I'm also down for that.

➔ RESEARCH: Kyle has been trying to research the unknown parts of Abraxas' history, including what happened to the Summoned from the Ninth High Mage's time and why Thorne became so distant from High Magic and the gods. Connected to that, he's also been asking his CR in the other two factions to look into their old history too, specifically Solvunn's founding and more information on the Free Cities' split from Thorne + anything deeper about why they believe the Singularity needs to be destroyed.

➔ MEMORY/TIME TRAVEL/THE MULTIVERSE: This is another long term thing BUT Kyle's memory is partially merged with a version of himself from another timeline. As mentioned above he tries not to think about it too hard, but he has noticed that other people seem to be having timeline confusion with their canonmates, so if that's something you wanna eventually commiserate over...

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Cid is a sarcastic, somewhat sassy, handsome older man who isn't allowed to rest. Ever. Without spoilers, he's the leader of the Hideaway, a place that's a refuge for those who otherwise would be treated as possessions. They're taken in, fed, clothed, and helped to regain their sense of selves over time. Cid also believes that the mother crystals, that people use in order to cast magic, is what's killing the world and naturally wants to destroy them. The big, giant, larger than cities magical crystals...

He's also the dominant of Ramuh meaning he has spells that are electric or lightning in nature. He can semi-prime which makes them stronger, and priming means he becomes Ramuh, an elder primal of the levin that casts judgement bolt. Using that will harm him so Cid isn't going to really mention it unless he feels like it.

Cid's an engineer as well so he'll be likely up in everyone's business, ruffling feathers and looking to establish himself.

CR YOU WANT: All of it. Friends, team mates, enemies. Cid would be a good addition to fighting for the Summoned, so if anyone is willing to talk him into it that would be A+. He also wouldn't mind catching his breath, it was busy back home, so a few drinks would also be great.
