Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-faction CR here! Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 17th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 19th. This month's event will see characters facing some deadly enemies, both oddly familiar and not.

CHARACTER INFORMATION:

Jasper is a tall and muscular demon who uses magical glamour to seem human. Gaslighting saw him mature into an arrogant and cold man who betrayed his kingdom: his master abusing him while possessing his father like a skinsuit. He is a sorcerer and war strategist trained in the art of combat who became the right hand of darkness.

Plus he was summoned before! Returning will bestow old memories that create a cognitive itch that needs scratching. Those who knew him are free to remember CR - and I am always here for planning!

CR YOU WANT:

Friends who can help him see he was manipulated.
Monsters misunderstood and rejected by humanity who need friends.
Outcasts searching for a place to belong.
People who after time become family.
Soldiers to share stories about their time in the military.

CR YOU DON'T WANT:

Jasper is a solemn individual who lacks patience towards others. I enjoy rivals becoming friends but understand his attitude is not for everyone.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

Belonging: Jasper struggled to find his place in his world. He sought true connections but struggled and embraced the darkness. I would love to see him struggle with his fears and find a place where he belongs.

Destiny: Jasper is constantly questioning his own identity and purpose. His dedication and willingness to serve exist because of his search for meaning. If your character is dead or dying do they accept their fate or fight death?

Humanity: His obsession with power corrupted him and he became a monster. He exulted in his new power and cast off the shackles of his humanity. Will he meet other supernatural beings and gain a new perspective on humanity and the world?

Love: His unrequited love for his friend was a source of great pain and suffering. He turned to destructive behaviours to cope with rejection and express despair. Can others help him understand love, relate to people and express his feelings?

Power: His admiration for strength and bravery became a lust for power. He sold his soul to the devil and lost his sense of morality. I would love for people to ask if his quest for power is worth it. Is he willing to destroy himself and others in his pursuit?

Redemption: Jasper betrayed his kingdom and humanity. But he was once an honourable man. His soul is stained by his actions but has the potential for redemption. Will he find true friends and overcome his past? Will he redeem himself?

Vengeance: His warped sense of justice led him to betray his oldest friend. He was blinded by rage and became irrational. I wonder if he will find peace and make friends. Will he find purpose and learn justice can be achieved without vengeance?

I'm so excited for them to get to meet!! I think they'll have a fair amount in common when it gets down to it and working to get them to that point will be Very Good. Maybe a placeholder for something in the August event if it allows for it? And if it doesn't then something for outside of it for sure!

OH GOD. He's going to friendship Jasper to death, isn't he?

But yes! Jasper will gain Horizon access pretty soon thanks to Wanda so that's also an option? I just want an excuse for Claude's realm to be intruded upon by sabrecats, honestly.

Also do you want to keep their TDM thread as canon? I am taking Jasper from an earlier point as you know but if that's what you want we can figure it out.

HE ABSOLUTELY IS. It'll be good for him in the end, if not extremely and deeply annoying at first!

And yes to keeping it canon! I meant to ask that in my comment and somehow managed to forget in the space of a couple sentences. That works for me since we can say their conversation took place however needs be for what'll come next.

Honestly I'm excited for him to both 1) get annihilated by any DQ monster he happens across while visiting, and 2) to have them invade his space. Totally fair for forcing friendship upon Jasper, and yet won't be a deterrent to him at all!

Works for me, then! We can assume they met in Nocwich. Related prompts are generally the same each TDM so it should be fine.

Not sure you want Claude to admit he got annihilated by a slime, though. Jasper will be so disappointed. MORE THAN USUAL.

HAHA maybe it can at least be a king slime!! Or a metal one, then he can have an excuse for... missing every shot he takes and going ???? while it does its slime thing... either way I think that expression is in Jasper's future!

Hello again!

Jasper will be stuck in his true form for a week so if you want to redo their first meeting I'm all for it! I applied the next round so IDK where that leaves them interacting in an old test drive.

I'm good either way fam. Just don't have Rocket ask Jasper for a ride or something god.
