State of the Game

August - September (2023)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions.

The Summoned Conclave is hosted in the comments section of each State of the Game. We'll provide the structure. Players are not obliged to participate, but we encourage you to do so! See here for details.

Motions from August's meeting have been passed for each faction. Thorne and Solvunn have both agreed to try and negotiate for the Summoned to return and investigate the sunken island used by the Acolytes. They've asked for a set of goals that the Summoned hope to achieve to be submitted by the end of October.

The Anomalous Beasts that rampaged through the open rifts caused unmatched destruction in many areas throughout Abraxas. Fortunately, major cities and towns were spared, but notable areas hosting important resources or workers were impacted - including mines, lumber mills, farmlands, and more.

In the aftermath, it was discovered that a Summoned from Solvunn may have been responsible.

Curious entertainers arrived to assist with restoration efforts and spread some good cheer. Many Summoned proceeded to help clean up the damaged areas while others decided to deliver trinkets to children and the wounded.

Due to the actions of Cal Kestis, the spared morbol has been given residence in an isolated cave in the Badlands. Curious individuals have already begun planning dangerous expeditions to visit it despite warnings to the contrary. For now, the morbol is under protection from Portam Hall's Wildlife & Research Department.
