Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-faction CR here! Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ A Conclave vote is being held in relation to Event #15, prior to the OOC Plotting Post. Please submit your vote by October 11th. New arrivals may participate!

◎ The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 13th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 15th. This month's event will require the Summoned to make an important choice to help save a vital ecosystem.

Nero | Devil May Cry

CHARACTER NAME: Nero
CANON: Devil May Cry
SIGN: The Chariot
FACTION: Solvunn

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Nero is a quarter-demon (don't worry about it) demon hunter with a wisecracking persona and a heart of gold. His favorite word is probably "fuck" and he lives for the fight. Despite being only a quarter-demon, he is capable of insane stunts, being impaled multiple times, and can lose and regenerate his arm (though it is not a very fun process.) He can also turn into a full-ass scaley on command and also occasionally has wing fists. He has a very normal desire to be more powerful in a way that could've edged into obsession if he hadn't gotten therapy and had a nice adoptive family.

In the past he got his arm cut off by Thor (NOT ON PURPOSE), which was promptly eaten by an altar in the woods. Nero now has a vendetta against altars AND the forests of Solvunn, and is intent on exploring them to pick a fight with the gods (this arm accidentally helped summon a bunch of gods in a prior event, whoops.) He also hates cults, because he was raised in one, and it totally turned out to suck in the end.

He also grew a tail as a gift from the Singularity that he hates. Please make fun of it and/or call him a lizard.

Nero is Dante's nephew and has been mistaken for his son like, three or four times. He hates it. Please continue to do it if it so pleases you.

Because of a prior event where he was kidnapped (along with many other people) by Solvunn cultists and his history of being in a cult, Nero has become suspicious of many of Solvunn's citizens and has moved out of the main settlement with Wanda and Himeka to raise a treehouse near the Black Lakes. They recently also adopted Rocket into their treehouse coven.

Lately Nero went on several hunts to kill the previous event's rift monsters and did win the roll to kill the Demonic Beast, whose mask he ripped off and hangs in his room. Yeah, it takes up an entire wall by itself. No, he will not get rid of it.

CR YOU WANT: Any CR is great. Nero is pretty easy-going and, though he exudes "tough guy persona" he's pretty nice when the time calls for it, especially to kids. He's also VERY easily goaded into fights. It has been pretty well-established by every character who has met him in the game so far that he absolutely exudes little brother energy, and thus is constantly bullied by everyone he knows.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Only romantic. Feel free to flirt, but Nero is dedicated to his girlfriend.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

- FUCKING AROUND IN THE WOODS. If you're in Solvunn and have wanted a reason to fuck around in the woods and, thus, find out, this is your man. Nero has absolutely a million reasons to know fucking around in the woods is a bad idea, and has been dissuaded by a grand total of zero of them.

- Found family/community. Nero places a LOT of importance on found family and the place he lives in due to being a two-time orphan and some mild (haha) daddy issues. He isn't technically "loyal" to Solvunn and, in fact, finds many of the native Solvunnites extremely shady, but he will protect the faction at any cost.

- He has little to no skill in magic, so I'd love for him to get a little tutoring in it! He mostly does things accidentally, and other things he hits with sword/fist/gun. He does have the "Find Steed" spell as a Horizon gain which allows him to conjure up a magical elk, but he can't really control when it happens and mostly it just ends up staring at him from the woods. Creepy. He is basically delving into wild magic without realizing it (because he does not study, nor read books about magic.)

- He recently gained the "ability" to burst into flames... unfortunately, it seems to be based entirely on his emotional state.

- Nero also has little grasp of his abilities in the Horizon as he's very, uh, "do thing, think later" when it comes to things. He has, however, created the Bloody Palace, an arena-type tower for fighting demons (and other beasties from other worlds.) If you wanna come in the Horizon and make fun of his van or fight demons, this is your chance!

- He was extremely not into the way Josselyn was executed and is sure the old gods are just monsters convincing the people to fear them. He has had encounters in the Solvunn woods with altars and the demonic-looking spirit that dwelt in one. His next order of business is to mess with more altars and fight the gods in order to kill them and prove to the Solvunnites that they're just monsters. Yes, he is sort of unhinged.

- Characters are free to put together that Nero and Dante are related (they have similar features, white hair, and Nero is immediately triggered if anyone mentions Dante.) They have a, how do you say, tumultuous relationship. It's very funny to poke Nero about it.

- I am also looking for Nero to make more friends that are similar in nature to him! (i.e., adrenaline junkies who need to dangerous things to feel alive). Nero frequently goes into the woods just to beat the shit out of whatever monster he can find, and is currently soul-bonding with Rocket because they have the exact same personality, which is something he refuses to acknowledge.

- Nero is also the author of the "Solvunn Welcoming Committee" brochures and he ALWAYS has one on hand for newbies. He will insist Solvunn children help him with the illustrations. It is currently unknown whether this is true or not.

Dion Lesage | Final Fantasy XVI

CANON: Final Fantasy XVI

CHARACTER INFORMATION: An idealistic, somewhat quiet, noble prince from an empire that was anything but. Dion has lived his life as the weapon that worked under his father's whims, with the magical power equivalent of a nuke. He was leader of the empire's Holy Order of the Knights Dragoon and is an extremely well-trained dragoon himself.

He is also the dominant of Bahamut, the King of Dragons, and was a near-holy figure because of it, having grown up in a religion that venerates dragoons as holy creatures that originated from their goddess. Dominants are people capable of full transformation into god-like monsters called eikons, with Bahumut being the eikon of light... with each transformation turning more and more of their bodies to stone as the price for the power. He is also capable of "semi-priming," which involves taking the features of his eikon but remaining mostly human and human-sized.

Unfortunately, Dion has basically had the worst year ever and is not in an extremely great mental state because of it. Luckily, he is also rather reserved and will be mostly keeping this to himself.

The world he comes from ran on a very strict class-based system, with natural magical users forced into slavery and the non-magical presiding over them. (Dominants, of course, were exceptions -- see if you can turn a magical nuke into a slave against their will... okay, sometimes you can. Sorry, Jill.) Because Dion's power was used against his own people when he lost control of his eikon, he will be very hesitant to tap into his own magic or learn any of Abraxas's.

CR YOU WANT: I can't think of anything I don't want! Dion will be new as of this app cycle, and though he is well-versed in how to step around royalty and court life, Thorne will be wildly different from his home.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Nothing I can think of!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

- Settling into life! Dion is new and will be eager to explore a world that is not dying to a blight. This one is so... lush! And alive! And not being lorded over by an interdimensional megalomanic god! (Hopefully.)

- Making friends! Dion has led a rather closed-off life, as he was more often than not sent on war campaigns, living on the battlefield or among the upper echelons of society. He can count the number of close compatriots he's ever had on three fingers.

- A slow introduction to Thornean/Abraxan magic. He will be very wary of receiving any sort of additional power, but I am interested in a long slow-burn of him beginning to appreciate this world's form of magic for the good it could do for others. And maybe... learning some on his own!!

- CR with themes of guilt and forgiveness. Due to his own actions, he carries a lot of deeply embedded guilt, and he has had little time to truly process it. People who have similar and have learned to live with it/move on with it would be a true prize indeed. *Please note some of his tags may have themes of suicide and suicidal ideation (I will note it!), but I am always happy to skirt such topics if needed!

Yess!! You got to me before I could get to you, but I read Julia's bio and I want this CR so bad. Himeka would also be very curious about her godhood and how that relates to Solvunn gods or others... (esp. considering her canonpoint now contains a bit of the Myths of the Realm questline.)

Himeka does magic fairly casually and around anyone, so it could easily come up at the mingle if Julia catches her doing it? But TBH we know Himeka will also just walk up to Julia as a new Summoned like HELLO you're one of us now please take this sandwich and tell me your story.

Also Himeka is very tall, what are you talking about.
