Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

Since the upcoming event is fairly large, we've provided an EVENT BRAINSTORM section for new arrivals to receive offers from existing players, who can invite them into their AU histories and help establish potential connections.

Only new characters may fill out the form for this section, but anyone can reply with suggestions. We encourage current players to reply with ways new characters can be incorporated into the event!

Important Notices

This month contains some important in-game occurrences. Be sure to review the details below!

IC Items

◎ Beginning APRIL 6, shortly after the new arrivals, the storm worsens. Lightning now strikes the ground, and heavy rains have led to flooding - including in the normally dry and arid Free Cities. Conditions have grown from troublesome to outright dangerous. While the major cities are better protected, the effects can still be felt. There will be a mounting death toll (moderate), and water damage to homes and businesses.

◎ Portals between cities are CLOSED in every territory. Because of the instabilities, portal travel has been shut down. Characters can still travel via horse or wagon, but authorities suggest limiting any long journeys due to dangerous weather conditions.

◎ Nocwich is CLOSED this month. Characters from opposing territories will only be able to see each other in the Horizon, which continue to undergo some disturbances.

OOC Items

◎ The upcoming event requires players to sign up for an assignment. Please read this post for more details. New players are encouraged to participate! Signing up only requires putting down your character's name.

◎ We recognize the next event has a lot of elements to consider, especially for new players. We encourage you to contact us if you're feeling a little lost! The goal for our events is to let players be as creative as possible. If you have an idea but are unsure of how to implement it or what the limits are, we're happy to guide you.

A Look Ahead

The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 12th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 17th. The event will involve a glimpse into the future and will go until May 10.

We have some climatic plots planned into summer due to the domino effect that began with Event #17. However, to make sure characters (and players) have some room to breathe, May will be a quiet month with pieces moving in the background before things pick up once more in June.

Great minds think alike - I was totally about to hit you up, too! Let's be sad wizards together (while Jon is, all the while, kind of in denial about being a Minor Wizard Now).

I meant to hit you up on the TDM and then time, somehow, rudely kept rolling forward... if you get him into the Thorne mingle I'll try to hit him up there!

Let us be specific. A Wizard is one who studies magic by reading lots on the history of the weave and writing in a book a lot, learning and crafting new spells --

How hard have you studied?

Show him your notes he will judge them.

Listen buddy he can do a small wall of fire (I need to refer to the parameters but I believe it started more as like an 18cm tall fence of fire) and turn into a wolf. I don't think INT is the problem, that's slightly above average, but WIS is definitely his dump stat.

Gale will try not to comically crush Jon with asides of how he cast fireball when he was 8 years old. But aside from being annoying about it, he is a good teacher too! He ends the game as a teacher after all if you don't... you know, actively ruin his life in other ways. Magic is just sort of what he fixed his whole identity to so he takes any opportunity to talk up his credentials.

I was planning to throw him at the Thorne mixer too! Get him starting on his existential crisis before the event kicks in and generates a new one!
