Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

Since the upcoming event is fairly large, we've provided an EVENT BRAINSTORM section for new arrivals to receive offers from existing players, who can invite them into their AU histories and help establish potential connections.

Only new characters may fill out the form for this section, but anyone can reply with suggestions. We encourage current players to reply with ways new characters can be incorporated into the event!

Important Notices

This month contains some important in-game occurrences. Be sure to review the details below!

IC Items

◎ Beginning APRIL 6, shortly after the new arrivals, the storm worsens. Lightning now strikes the ground, and heavy rains have led to flooding - including in the normally dry and arid Free Cities. Conditions have grown from troublesome to outright dangerous. While the major cities are better protected, the effects can still be felt. There will be a mounting death toll (moderate), and water damage to homes and businesses.

◎ Portals between cities are CLOSED in every territory. Because of the instabilities, portal travel has been shut down. Characters can still travel via horse or wagon, but authorities suggest limiting any long journeys due to dangerous weather conditions.

◎ Nocwich is CLOSED this month. Characters from opposing territories will only be able to see each other in the Horizon, which continue to undergo some disturbances.

OOC Items

◎ The upcoming event requires players to sign up for an assignment. Please read this post for more details. New players are encouraged to participate! Signing up only requires putting down your character's name.

◎ We recognize the next event has a lot of elements to consider, especially for new players. We encourage you to contact us if you're feeling a little lost! The goal for our events is to let players be as creative as possible. If you have an idea but are unsure of how to implement it or what the limits are, we're happy to guide you.

A Look Ahead

The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 12th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 17th. The event will involve a glimpse into the future and will go until May 10.

We have some climatic plots planned into summer due to the domino effect that began with Event #17. However, to make sure characters (and players) have some room to breathe, May will be a quiet month with pieces moving in the background before things pick up once more in June.

SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU HERE!! I really loved both threads we did (Astarion and Kyle) and am happy to keep them canon! I enjoyed how with Astarion they had a nice little moment at the end there :') and Kyle can potentially give him more of the info Gale is looking for if he can build trust with Kyle.

I really want Astarion to find out how bad Gale's route was... he will actually have so much sympathy.

LMAO Kyle is certain his god sent him here because he is a religious fanatic and pulled from the edge of death to Abraxas. They'll have a lot to talk about re: being bound to a god in some way, if/when it comes up!

Especially interesting is obviously Astarion LOOKED into it from Gale's perspective, so he just assumes Astarion will think he's a bore who wasn't into murder once more and sit in his self-loathing corner. It's fine! He's just here to cook and cast fireballs!!

AND YEA I did read that about Kyle. Gale is very on the edge of which way he could go, either I DID WHAT MYSTRA WANTED AND SOMEHOW SHE PUT ME HERE or Honestly Fuck Mystra so I am def Interested to let him have a variety of input in both directions. It will be an existential crisis.

Being free* for all these months has helped Astarion be less... awful. People are weirdly nice and helpful here! Also, here's a peek at his AU info if you're curious.... I know the actual OOC plotting for the event is still a ways away but happy to talk about it early!

I WAS ACTUALLY just talking to Ammay about my AU idea which is so far 'maybe Gale betrays Thorne for one of them and commits A War Crime in the process, then gets depressed trying to help with their messy divorce and also trying to deal with the whole guilt thing and builds a depression tower that seeps ominous magic to rival lady shar'.

If you're interested I can let the dice decide which of them he commits a Crime for, just pick odds or evens and I will roll.

800 YEARS OF HISTORY IS A LONG TIME I am sure there will be something juicy

But I'm ready for Gale to absolutely do sth fucked up. Trap some folk with Hallucinatory Terrain and then mess them up with Meteor Swarm or sth.
