There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

Upcoming modplot will be announced on the OOC community, signal boosted on Plurk and listed on the Calendar! Please be aware that Event #6, scheduled for the 18th of this month, will offer opportunities for characters from different factions to meet up in a (mostly, and temporarily) friendly environment...

Bishop Sasarai | Suikoden ♗ Judgement

CHARACTER NAME: Sasarai
CANON: Suikoden
SIGN: Judgement
FACTION: Thorne

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Sasarai is a bishop of Holy Harmonia making him a big deal where he comes from. He's used to commanding a lot of authority and is fond of playing Machiavellian political mind games. While he is used to war, he doesn't care for it and much prefers peace. He will do whatever he can to prevent loss of life, and he is willing pursue the olive branch with a bayonet if he has to.

In terms of basic interaction he's laid back and sarcastic and can be mean without always intending to be and also while intending to be.

Right now he's working through an existential crisis, having just learned that he is a clone created to be a host to the True Earth Rune. Said Rune, basically a sentient god crystal embedded in his body, makes him a powerful geomancer and it has stopped his aging. While he may look like he's vaguely about 16/17 he's actually 32 and is a 32 year old in everything but appearance.

CR YOU WANT: Friends, frienemies, enemies, people who are willing to feed him information and/or get bossed around. People who are willing to yell at him for bossing them around... Everything, basically.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Not interested in shipping but I don't think that's bound to come up anyway.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Generally war and politics suit this character. Sasarai doesn't always rush out into danger but if he finds someone who is clever and reliable he may hire them to get into dangerous situations and report back to him with tasty information. If being someone's hired spy is something you may be interested in, Sasarai is your man.

He is also a scholar and very interested in studying the Singularity.

I'm gonna (lovingly) attack both of your characters (well at least this one), but I'd love for Himeka and Sasarai to meet up in Horizon now that it's been a while since the Dimming? It kind of came to her attention that not everyone viewed the PVP the same way she did so she would be inclined to seek him out.

I am absolutely down for this!

Sasarai sometimes wanders around Horizon, skirting the edges of other people's domains so he could easily wander past hers and get her attention.

Excellent! Hers is actually contained in an aetheryte crystal that she move around, so it would probably be in it's open bubble dome state. (Think the size of the Tanamizu bubble.) So she also has a habit of just setting up camp wherever even if it's in other people's domains, whoops. (With player permission of course.)

Then running into each other should be super easy. Sasarai could find her bubble dome or she could set up camp in Mirrored Valley. I would be fine with either!

commenting as sam for yen but i am really enjoying yen and sasarai's little convo right now and I just think that could be an interesting progression for them. c: BASICALLY JUST stating I enjoy them and am excited to see where they go

I'm glad! I am definitely interested in seeing where they go. Yennefer is a bit more used to immortality than Sasarai, it's only been about 10 years or so since he stopped aging. He's only 32, he's a junior immortal.

Also her doing something to prove herself vs her doing something because she thinks it's right is ...Well, he's a Harmonian.

Fandaniel | Final Fantasy XIV ♟ The Hanged Man

CHARACTER NAME: Fandaniel
CANON: Final Fantasy XIV
SIGN: The Hanged Man
FACTION: Free Cities

CHARACTER INFORMATION: A flamboyant, nihilistic sadist.

Fandaniel is an Ascian (sorcerous energy being) who is so tortured by despair that he's decided he wants to die and take the whole world out with him when he goes in a "paroxysm of pain and suffering".

...He's not very open about his plans to end literally everything right now so as far as most people know he's a mad scientist wizard who just appeared in the Free Cities and is a massive fucking weirdo.

CR YOU WANT: He literally just got here so anything. He does well with other wizards and science weirdos and has his eyes out for any powerful warrior/conqueror types he can line his agenda up with.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Again not shipping but that is very unlikely to come up. I am also not currently interested in redeeming him, if he reconsidered his stance on destroying the world he'd self destruct. More. He'd self destruct more.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: War and politics suit Fandaniel but he tends to take part behind the scenes instead of engaging in open battle or leading any meetings on war strategy.

He is also insatiably curious so he will be very keen on studying the Singularity as well as the machines of Cadens.

Coming into a new world he will lean into an ancient skill set of his: Mad science. Clones, computers, bio-engineering, chemistry and "aetherochemistry" are his strongest areas. He has also perfected magitech devices created in more modern times in his homeworld. Do mad science with him, he likes it.

HORIZON: He will need a trip there but if anyone wants to be the person to bring him there for the first time they will get a rare glimpse of the man when he's not weighed down by his memories. Let me know if that interests you otherwise I'm sure I can handwave something.

I'm assuming that Emet's soul-sight isn't good enough for him to see arrivals to the other cities, but let me know whenever Fandaniel gets into the Horizon, if he doesn't make a network post first! Emet is in there on a semi-regular basis, and I'd imagine that he'd spot Fandaniel's domain fairly quickly.

I will absolutely let you know when he gets access to the Horizon. Good times will be had by all.

By some definitions of good, yes. Though Emet is likely to end up with a headache I feel. On the other hand, unless Fandaniel also ends up taking on his Amaurotine form Emet will probably be taller. (Plus the usual "being more powerful")

Emet-Selch will definitely be taller. Fandaniel is not interested in presenting as Amaurotine ever. Y'all make him sad.

He'll probably be an elf

WITH her? TO her? AROUND HER GENERAL VICINITY? anyway more seriously I really love the idea of Samus getting a sincere first look at him and then slowly over time realizing all his less ethical traits and bad space-pirate-comparable science and getting increasingly distressed about it

He can definitely provide a chance for her to slowly question her choices in the people she hangs out with.

i see a lot of parallels between him and wanda regarding the whole pain and suffering. obviously they've coped differently. wanda has started to come to terms with her whole "i'm a witch and i have magic" status, so it would be fun to explore this cr through a magic scope!

These two sorting through their suffering in a shared space would be very tragic and I am absolutely down for exploring what would happen.

i'm sure they'll sort it in very healthy ways. i look forward to the opportunity of having them meet in the horizon or through another circumstance!

HELLO HI so I know you're not interested in him being redeemed/etc but if fancy dan over here is going to end up in the political space especially in the free cities he and sam will def cross paths!!! and I can offer up either negative cr (which could be interesting) OR JUST SOME FUN complicated not super negative not exactly positive interesting back and forth perhaps????

sam's used to dealing with the whole mental health suicidal side of things (in a more vague sense of the word but hey, veteran affairs???? yeah) so it could be interesting

I am SURE they will cross paths. Fandaniel will absolutely be getting involved in the political space, just not as a politician like Sasarai.

He'll be more in the background, giving support or funding to the politically active characters whose agendas he supports.
