CHARACTER INFORMATION: Jesper is a sharpshooting criminal teenager from the gang-filled streets of Ketterdam. He's friendly, extroverted, seemingly unflappable and endlessly confident, which means of course he's a giant mess underneath the swagger. I have an Abraxas post for him so you can see the app and info page. Jesper is also a Grisha, description can be seen more on there but the easy summary is he is a literal perfect shot because he uses his abilities to telekinetically move bullets where he wants them to go. He doesn't tell people about this though. Due to not using his powers actively or training in them, Jesper is an adrenaline junkie and gambling addict and he can't sit still. He recently decided to give up gambling and try to work on his issues and his powers, but he is very vulnerable to not learning his lesson as soon as there's a set back. Despite his bright smile and warm nature, do not be fooled, he is very much a maker of trouble and mischief. I can't even say 'but he's a good kid!' because he has a good heart but you know. Criminal conman.
CR YOU WANT: I WANT IT ALL. Seriously. Jesper is super outgoing and he will try to make friends with pretty much anyone he comes across. He comes across as older because of his background but he really is a youngster and could use some moral-type people to stop him from going down the darkest of his possible paths. Or who knows, people who encourage that instead. Eventually I would love him connecting with people who have powers they use actively, whether in their canon or since coming here, because that's an area he's purposely ignored and he really needs to stop that in order to grow. But really. Come at him. Be aware that he flirts with EVERYONE no matter the age, gender, or species, and he doesn't currently mean it because he's in love with a boy with a stupid face who is not here.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Jesper is currently a gang member without a gang. He is typically the right hand man of the man in charge, his BFF Kaz, but he recently decided to go clean (ish, sometimes he still does shady shit) as the live-in boyfriend of a rich boy. Jesper is usually a follower and he will be looking for people to hang onto pretty quickly in this unfamiliar and confusing situation. He will probably start asking around about guns ASAP and then willing to mercenary himself to causes. He likes action-involved jobs and will probably volunteer for things that seem risky.

ANYTHING ELSE?: My fanvid about him. This is technically from Shadow and Bone which is not canon to the books, but I still think you get the general idea of his character and energy in it. :D

Viktor is a scientist-slash-genius engineer-slash-big nerd. He's spent the last few years developing basically magitech, which has not necessarily played out as he would have hoped, with much of his work being co-opted by rich people who are only interested in doing rich people things. He comes off as a fussy academic but is actually an agent of chaos who loves to break rules and do weird science and ponder orbs. Despite his general penchant for putting himself in danger by screwing around with unknown forces he does not fully understand and can't control, he is an idealistic, highly principled individual who believes that the purpose of scientific advancement is to improve lives. He’s soft-spoken but quietly ambitious, intellectually curious, and kind of an obsessive workaholic who is increasingly preoccupied with his own legacy. He's pretty sure becoming a wizard will fix all of his problems.

I have an info and permissions post here and his app is here. Also a general heads up that Viktor is terminally ill—it's vaguely defined but is more-or-less The Consumption™. I don't imagine this will come up frequently (he will probably not actually talk about it) and I plan to content warn accordingly when relevant, but here is a screened opt out if you’d like me to avoid mentioning this in tag meta, etc. or you would rather not interact with him at all.

The sooner he takes care of that the sooner he can become a wizard.
✷ Before arriving here Viktor was about to, uh, do some light human experimentation (on himself) with a somewhat questionable magic conduit he built. He is going to try and do this or similar with whatever he can get his hands on around here. He HATES politics but I like the idea of him having to suck it up and align himself with various NPCs or groups or other established PCs that might help him accomplish this, mostly because he doesn't want to die. do NOT judge him for blood magic/dark rituals he knows what he’s doing (no)

CHARACTER INFORMATION: steve rogers (captain america) is a super soldier from his world that has most recently helped fight a far off alien psychopath who tried to cull more than half the planet's population. he's a man born and raised in the 40s but due to a flight accident, is recovered in ice decades later and forced to become a hero and a fighter in a world he doesn't necessarily know to be his own. he's a strong, empathetic, leader type - he will help anyone in need and will take charge if he has to. but please also make his brain hurt with time and space shenanigans.

CR YOU WANT: as steve is new to this place, any cr is welcome! give him people who can teach him new things, help him understand the politics of the world their in. equally, he will naturally want to take any and all under his wing and teach what he knows to those who need more help. some people might not like that, and steve is incredibly stubborn, so i'm ALWAYS down for negative CR as well. give him some challenges to overcome!

he will effectively begin rallying the troops and building a team whether he means to or not. but other fighter/soldier types would be interesting - differences in practice and experiences.

Angsty heir apparent to the Skywalker legacy who'd much rather be cool and evil like his grampa Vader, despite the fact he's not actually all that great at casual sadism (not that it stops him from trying). CR YOU WANT:
I'll happily receive any and all CR of course but my heart beats fastest for fractious frenemies! I love forced/unexpected/unwelcome team-ups, and honestly if anyone feels like giving me the lost in the wilderness/behind enemy lines with the person I like least CR of my dreams I will be thrilled beyond measure. I also enjoy all flavours of interaction where characters share an end goal but have wildly different ideas about the ethics of the situation, and relationships that develop through the discovery of unexpected commonalities. You may flirt with Kylo! It will be exceptionally awkward, which is great— Kylo's only just worked out that some people actually find him pretty attractive when he isn't busy committing various war crimes, and while he's no longer the canonical permavirgin he was on arrival in Abraxas he's still exceptionally weak to genuine compliments and has no idea how to handle attention of a positive nature. Destroy him.

CR YOU DON'T WANT:
I can't think of much I actively don't want, and even the tropes and setups I don't tend to go for can be lots of fun with the right set-up! I do struggle with small-talky type threads and vastly prefer it if there's a Reason for our characters to be interacting, but otherwise? Please just throw it at me.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

Investigation:: What are Cadens and Solvunn doing with their stolen caskets? What can be done to fortify and strengthen the Singularity? Who are Oliver Abbot and Elizabeth Francis and what are their motivations? While he remains aligned with Thorne, Kylo's willing to work with like-minded characters from any faction to unpick these mysteries and more— albeit in a shadowy, ominously illuminati-like fashion rather than some kind of arms around the world rally.
Politik:: Kylo's moving up in the world, with his actions so far having gained him a position of relative authority in Thorne— namely, a task force of four Thornean mages under his command, as well as a title (The Venerable Kylo Ren, thank you!) earned with his actions during the Dimming event. I'd love to play with other characters in Thorne pushing for position and power, as well as with anyone looking for a big strong to hide behind or hitch their proverbial wagon to. Kylo is currently working most closely with Jolene, Ambrose's highest ranking apprentice (who is secretly more loyal to the Duchess of Hayle, Ambrose's sister), and they've recently become aware that the Queen of Thorne herself is behind some pretty sketchy experiments. If your character is into political intrigue, Kylo may be a good way to get teeth into that whole scene.
Study and experiments:: Kylo's been working with Thornean natives to test the feasibility of bridging and blending Abraxan magic with the skills and abilities the Summoned brought with them from their home worlds, mostly to empower himself. He is surprisingly willing to help others learn magic, and will share the use of a magically protected room in Castle Thorne for the purpose. He's also open to introducing characters to the Horizon for the first time: he's very comfortable with meditation and metaphysical nonsense and will gladly theorise with fellow nerds for days given the slightest opportunity.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Amos is a spaceship mechanic from sometime in the 2350s and this is the most time he's spent on a planet since his childhood. Speaking of, it was an incredibly traumatic one that left him with a permanently broken moral compass. He doesn't like that about himself, and tries to fix it by attaching himself to people he perceives as good and righteous. He's got a small list in-game but we aren't at "you are my entire conscience" levels with anyone yet.
CR YOU WANT: People to make Amos get involved with the plot, either through making him actually acknowledge he has a place in this world and should do something about it or by antagonizing him. I'd love for him to be the target of manipulation, really.
Also, Amos has a very simplistic view of other people: there are bad ones, ones you follow, ones you protect. All are good.
CR YOU DON'T WANT: No romance.
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Alright so, if you read any previous CR meme comments of mine,, ignore them I encountered a hiccup and have pivoted. I would like to get Amos into the Free Cities at some point but he's got no reason to leave Solvunn at the moment so he's sticking around there (and I am interested in expanding his Solvunn CR, it's been a couple of months...)

Other than that, the main thing I want is for Amos to be challenged in both personal and worldly ways:
- Personal would be like... he's pretty sure he's a bad person (see: simplistic view of people) and while he has a point there, he's not as bad as he thinks he is. He's still kinda bad though. I'm into exploring that grey area where he resides.
- Worldly being that he's not into politics at all, but here, he's in a position where he could have a substantial impact on the world — either by the nature of PCs here, the part where his technological knowledge dwarfs the entire setting, or the fact that he's capable of immense violence and will not have any regrets about it — and he's refused to acknowledge that, mostly sequestering himself away from, well, almost everything. So I'd love to have him have to deal with not being allowed to do that anymore. I've had him start to get engaged by poking around a little but it's just a baby step, really, and he does need a bit more of a push...

CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Thancred is part of an organization called the Scions of the Seventh Dawn who are dedicated to protecting the realm of Eorzea (and beyond) while not being tied to any one nation, allowing them to not be tied down by political obligations. They do things like fighting primals (false gods), saving the realm from ancient beings who want to bring about calamities, and lots of other fun stuff. Thancred is particularly skilled in espionage, so he is here for infiltration, reconnaisance, subterfuge, survivalism... the list goes on. He comes off as cocky and charming at first glance, but in reality holds himself to a very high standard where he's constantly trying to prove himself, womp womp. He has gone through some character development in that arena and also had to learn how to be a dad. He's also done this song and dance with getting whisked to another world before, so he'll maybe handle it better than some other newly summoned.

Oh, right, and because of some things he went through in canon, Thancred is physically incapable of using magic. Naturally, I had to drop him in Thorne.

CR YOU WANT:
Given that he's brand new, I think I'm allowed to get away with one "everything," BUT:
• In all honesty, Thancred is pretty amiable and will strike up a conversation quite easily with just about anyone, though sometimes it might be for an ulterior motive. He might not be 100% open about himself at first, but he also isn't completely a closed book. He's just playing his cards close to the chest for now.
• THORNE PALS, COME AT ME. I'm down for keeping all TDM threads with Thorne people canon!
• Someone to tell him more about the Horizon and help him to get access would be great! This will likely have to be someone in Thorne.
• He'd like a knife. Maybe two. He'd like a gun(blade) even more. Anyone wanna help a guy out?
• He's going to be doing a ton of snooping around and at some point will probably be trying to sneak into somewhere he shouldn't be to get more information on Thorne and the royal family, etc. Not sure how this is going to go but it may or not be a disaster and if anyone wants on that messy train, I'm down.
• Despite all his sneaky stuff, he also fills the tank role, so if you need someone to jump into a fight and take some hits, he's your guy.
• Thancred's very close to Himeka, so anyone who is also close to her (or, conversely, who has negative CR with her) is bound to get the third degree from him. Or he'll at least be curious about them.
CR YOU DON'T WANT: Nothing's coming to mind, tbh. I am literally down for anything and if our CR turns out to be negative, I love that too. Just expect Thancred to get real sassy if that happens, he doesn't hold back.
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Once Thancred finds out that Himeka is here he's definitely going to base a lot of his impressions about the factions and what needs to be done in this world on her impressions, but! Beyond that, I honestly love the idea of him getting into some double/triple agent spy nonsense with playing the factions off of each other, feeding information from Thorne out or vice versa, etc. etc. I don't have a fully formed plan here yet but it's something I'd love to try and work on if the opportunity presents itself.

Most of what he wants is to drink and be grumpy, but chronic nosiness and an unfortunate tendency to care about people despite himself tend to land him in the middle of situations anyway. Perpetually tired but will throw down in a second for his people. Stoic and reserved when he's not being prickly and sarcastic, with a squishier center than he will ever admit and Being Annoying as his primary love language.

Intellectual Study: Jasper is intellectually curious and will poke his nose into spells and magic. His interest will fixate on medicine and healing because of the epidemic that ravaged his kingdom. Losing the Silver Orb will knock him sideways and he will endeavour to obtain another conduit.

Horizon: Dying has shaken Jasper enough that life has become an existential crisis; one he shall explore by visiting the Horizon. The influence on his confidence could become addictive and compel him to secure a domain. Selfish desires will need balancing against his growing reputation; his experience of military conquest against humanity possibly leading him to seize territory without the moderating influence of another character.

Bandits and Brigands: I plan for Jasper to push for apprehending the criminals lurking amongst Thorne's forests and mountains. Why tolerate despicable vermin in your backyard? Why condone lawless transgression? He is willing to work alongside others to bring them to justice. This is hardly borne from altruism: it is a push for power and authority. He wants the citizenry to shower him with acclaim and glory.

+ Peripherally, he's looking at the rally/protest situation in the Free Cities/Solvunn and I want him to get dragged into more politics against his better judgment.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Assassin aka Shuten-Douji is one of the many, many Heroic Spirits summoned as a Servant to your typical anime protagonist from the gacha game, Fate/Grand Order, where they're all trying to make sure human history isn't ruined or wholesale disappears. She's fairly chill about the whole Servant thing and so no matter where she is, as long as she can drink and have fun, it's all good... Even if Shuten is Chaotic Evil and a man-eating oni who will casually flirt and blatantly slip in about how delicious a person looks. Shuten is a notorious drinker and flirtatious as hell and uh, can eat humans. She doesn't need to anymore since she's a high-grade familiar type, but you know, the taste for them is still there... 💦💦💦

Her likes are simple and it's the moon, handsome men, women, sake (and other booze, but mostly sake), flowers, and just feeling pleasant in general! Oh, and she's fine with getting down and dirty... with fights. Yes.

I have this Opt-Out post if other players don't want to engage with her since she's a monster with monster logic. This post also includes permissions about her Intoxication skill, but I'll always be hitting up the other player if she happens to use that on someone.

CR YOU WANT: DRINKING BUDDIES, anyone who has magic might be interested because her physical body is like, a high-level magical projection which makes her incredibly strong; most Servants are sturdy by design because they're really, really, useful familiars in the most basic sense.

If your character is good-looking (based on her taste), she'll definitely flirt with them, but Shuten mostly enjoys anyone who has an interesting reaction to her, negative or otherwise, especially those who are wary of monsters. If you're someone with some sort of heroic character or at least high charisma, she may follow along just out of whimsy (or she'll be genuinely attracted/super hungry for them...) Another type of CR I'd want is anyone who is familiar with monsters, specifically oni or Japanese legends! I put it in her permissions, but feel free to recognize her from stories that mention Shuten-Douji.

She's actually okay with nice and kind people ~~she can freeload off of~~ ~~subtly bully/manipulate~~ I'm sorry, she's awful, but honestly, if Shuten begins to like someone and they ask something of her, you never know! She might just do it just because ~~in her own roundabout way~~!!

CR YOU WANT: Anything right now! I love having people he can bicker with or get into stupid rivalries with. Genuine learning experiences where he can see better parts of humanity are also good, since he was raised among the worst people. Sparring partners, drinking buddies, frenemies? While Emet can occasionally come off as a grumpy loner (because he... kind of is), he's willing to entertain the idea of casual conversation, and as someone who exists on a timescale most mortals could never dare to match his morals are... loose at best. He is also pretty much always on the look out for people he might be able to make alliances with or who can use as potential pawns. (He is also Officially Too Old to bother with things like shame.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Hendrik is a man who has grown up wanting nothing more than to be a knight in service to the kingdom that took him in as a child. He believes strongly in the knightly code of serving the people and protecting the weak, earning his reputation as a knight and general on the battlefield while having little interest in the politicking that keeps the kingdom running. He's only recently (fairly recent, maybe a few months ago at most) had to deal with the upsetting revelation that his king was possessed by a monstrous sorcerer for over a decade and his childhood friend has been in cahoots with him, sending the world down a disastrous path. As a result, he's had to do a lot of thinking about his past assumptions and behavior.

He is humble, polite, and loyal to those who have earned his trust and admiration. Due to working a lot and essentially having little in ways of "vacations," he hasn't done a lot of socializing outside of work in a long time and may come across as standoffish and awkward. Being over 6'6" tall and having a resting face like a rock doesn't really help matters.

He's also alluded to being the reincarnation of an ancient hero and warrior-king, but that bears little meaning to who he currently is beyond vague feelings of connection to people from the past that share ties to his past self.

CR YOU WANT: Anything and everything! Once he's settled a little and rested from more recent homeworld stresses, I would love for Hendrik to get an understanding of how Thorne operates and the types of people who have been roped into the, uh, "service" of the kingdom. Regardless of how he perceives the leadership of Thorne, he will also be interested in learning about and helping the townsfolk, as he likes to feel busy and helpful.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Can't think of anything at the moment beyond not being in the headspace for hooking up or relationships. He's willing to put up with foul mouths and bad tempers (he's dealt with Jasper most of his life), but he does have a temper and stubborn streak as well.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
+ Learning more about the kinds of magic employed in Thorne (and the world in general, maybe). Heliodor, his adoptive kingdom, could have done with more people able to use healing magic, so he would be curious if such strengths/weaknesses exist.

+ Arming himself. Training, if the possibility comes up! Swords and shields, greatswords, axes, and crossbows are in his skill repertoire. He doesn't naturally have offensive magic, but he can imbue his weapons with magic for specific skills.

+ ...Socializing? Dealing with that general feeling of not knowing what to do with oneself when you're out of your element and you've always known your place before but have no idea anymore?? It's not just him, right??

Julie Lawry is a manipulative, social-climbing hayseed from Kansas who is among the .6% of humanity who is inexplicably immune from the superflu. As the sole survivor from her entire podunk town, she spent a month completely alone, then fell prey to a wizard/demon/sex god, went to Las Vegas because of dreams, and now her wardrobe is fabulous. Also she died, but we don't talk about ~~Bruno~~ that 🙃

She lives in Nott, so you can't meet her in person, but she is currently getting ready to illegally move to Cadens to be with all her friends. Shady portals ftw. She has a basic hold on Wild Magic, which is only largely practiced in Nott because it's all intuition and emotion (making it risky), so her magic is a bit different from everyone else's. She has a horse named Baron, stolen from the castle in Thorne, and she loves him very much. In the Horizon, she has a nightclub that's open whenever she's there, populated by roughly 100 fake people who live on the dance floor. There is a lot of booze and drugs available, please see the hostess (Julie) if you would like some. Also if you are looking for a fuckbuddy, Julie will set you up and yes, she has references.
