CHARACTER INFORMATION: Well, giving him probably the worst canon point to join a game with but for the sake of familial bonding, doing it. Anakin is post-Order 66 and roughly 10 'stop booing me, I'm right's into his Mustafar fight with Obi-Wan.

I'm interested in him getting involved in Thorne's politics though mostly from the being-the-fist side of things. He's going to do the learn the magic thing and probably pick up sword fighting because why aren't lightsabers a thing? seriously, it's disappointing

Bishop Sasarai | Suikoden ♗ Judgement

FACTION: Thorne

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Sasarai is a bishop of Holy Harmonia making him a big deal where he comes from. He's used to commanding a lot of authority and is fond of playing Machiavellian political mind games. While he is used to war, he doesn't care for it and much prefers peace. He will do whatever he can to prevent loss of life, and he is willing pursue the olive branch with a bayonet if he has to.

In terms of basic interaction he's laid back and sarcastic and can be mean without always intending to be and also while intending to be.

Right now he's working through an existential crisis, having just learned that he is a clone created to be a host to the True Earth Rune. Said Rune, basically a sentient god crystal embedded in his body, makes him a powerful geomancer and it has stopped his aging. While he may look like he's vaguely about 16/17 he's actually 32 and is a 32 year old in everything but appearance.

CR YOU WANT: Friends, frienemies, enemies, people who are willing to feed him information and/or get bossed around. People who are willing to yell at him for bossing them around... Everything, basically.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Not interested in shipping but I don't think that's bound to come up anyway.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Generally war and politics suit this character. Sasarai doesn't always rush out into danger but if he finds someone who is clever and reliable he may hire them to get into dangerous situations and report back to him with tasty information. If being someone's hired spy is something you may be interested in, Sasarai is your man.

He is also a scholar and very interested in studying the Singularity.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: hello hi let’s talk about captain america. and about how this dude who has spent his whole life trying to CHANGE THE WORLD, and found his way to do that by giving shit to the one guy who most people were too intimidated to give shit to. anyway. that cap has retired and after some soul searching and a couple of missions, sam took up the shield and is now driven by what being cap means to him and how he can help as many people as possible. he is an eternal optimist, believes in the good in people, will give you a Captain America Speech, and won’t regret it. he’s doing his best here okay??? and will continue to do so.
CR YOU WANT: sam is on a mission to adopt like probably the entire game (if possible). he already feels pretty responsible for everyone anyway (whether you want him to or not) so he's happy to help provide a safe place to go, someone to talk to, a dad (or cool uncle). in general, he is looking for allies or people to adopt, and is happy to make connections with ANYONE AND EVERYONE. generally, cr for sam rn has fallen into three categories: He Has Adopted, He Will Flirt, or He Will Protect (sometimes a mixture of two). if you fall (or want to fall) into any of those, hello hi come talk to me. c: I am also not against negative cr for any reason so if you think your kid will butt heads??? let's go for it - it might take a sec because sam isn't looking to make enemies but who knows.

- FREE CITIES: if you're in the cities, chances are sam is going to come find you. he has a whole system set up to help people come in from the bunker/get a place to stay/get a job so any newcomers/newbies will probably at least get a HI WELCOME. LETS CHAT. COME ASK ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS IM HERE TO HELP.
- POLITICAL SPHERE: so right now sam is in the process of building up some close connections between thorne, free cities, and solvunn. he's very much in the space of "we summoned need to stick together" and stay out of the rising tensions/wars. this is sticking with closer cr for right now, but he's going to be interested in checking in on anyone from each of the factions, just wanting to make sure how things are going everywhere.
- he is prepared to be anyone and everyone's uncle/dad figure/parental figure if you need one or even if you don't. he is HERE to build a found family, come join in the party he cooks great dinners
- friends!!! for real!!!! he is building his crew and his circle and he is always open to bring in some more people that he can rely on/trust

CANON: Grishaverse- specifically from Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom books.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Jesper is a sharpshooting criminal teenager from the gang-filled streets of Ketterdam. He's friendly, extroverted, seemingly unflappable and endlessly confident, which means of course he's a giant mess underneath the swagger. I have an Abraxas post for him so you can see the app and info page. Jesper is also a Grisha, description can be seen more on there but the easy summary is he is a literal perfect shot because he uses his abilities to telekinetically move bullets where he wants them to go. He doesn't tell people about this though. Due to not using his powers actively or training in them, Jesper is an adrenaline junkie and gambling addict and he can't sit still. He recently decided to give up gambling and try to work on his issues and his powers, but he is very vulnerable to not learning his lesson as soon as there's a set back. Despite his bright smile and warm nature, do not be fooled, he is very much a maker of trouble and mischief. I can't even say 'but he's a good kid!' because he has a good heart but you know. Criminal conman.
CR YOU WANT: I WANT IT ALL. Seriously. Jesper is super outgoing and he will try to make friends with pretty much anyone he comes across. He comes across as older because of his background but he really is a youngster and could use some moral-type people to stop him from going down the darkest of his possible paths. Or who knows, people who encourage that instead. Eventually I would love him connecting with people who have powers they use actively, whether in their canon or since coming here, because that's an area he's purposely ignored and he really needs to stop that in order to grow. But really. Come at him. Be aware that he flirts with EVERYONE no matter the age, gender, or species, and he doesn't currently mean it because he's in love with a boy with a stupid face who is not here.
CR YOU DON'T WANT: I honestly cannot think of any right now!
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Jesper is currently a gang member without a gang. He is typically the right hand man of the man in charge, his BFF Kaz, but he recently decided to go clean (ish, sometimes he still does shady shit) as the live-in boyfriend of a rich boy. Jesper is usually a follower and he will be looking for people to hang onto pretty quickly in this unfamiliar and confusing situation. He will probably start asking around about guns ASAP and then willing to mercenary himself to causes. He likes action-involved jobs and will probably volunteer for things that seem risky.

ANYTHING ELSE?: My fanvid about him. This is technically from Shadow and Bone which is not canon to the books, but I still think you get the general idea of his character and energy in it. :D

A quick note: I have the worst timing ever and will be out of town for the 18th-26th, but I will be bringing my computer with me so jumping into things as soon as I can when the event goes up!

Fandaniel | Final Fantasy XIV ♟ The Hanged Man

CHARACTER INFORMATION: A flamboyant, nihilistic sadist.

Fandaniel is an Ascian (sorcerous energy being) who is so tortured by despair that he's decided he wants to die and take the whole world out with him when he goes in a "paroxysm of pain and suffering".

...He's not very open about his plans to end literally everything right now so as far as most people know he's a mad scientist wizard who just appeared in the Free Cities and is a massive fucking weirdo.

CR YOU WANT: He literally just got here so anything. He does well with other wizards and science weirdos and has his eyes out for any powerful warrior/conqueror types he can line his agenda up with.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Again not shipping but that is very unlikely to come up. I am also not currently interested in redeeming him, if he reconsidered his stance on destroying the world he'd self destruct. More. He'd self destruct more.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: War and politics suit Fandaniel but he tends to take part behind the scenes instead of engaging in open battle or leading any meetings on war strategy.

He is also insatiably curious so he will be very keen on studying the Singularity as well as the machines of Cadens.

Coming into a new world he will lean into an ancient skill set of his: Mad science. Clones, computers, bio-engineering, chemistry and "aetherochemistry" are his strongest areas. He has also perfected magitech devices created in more modern times in his homeworld. Do mad science with him, he likes it.

HORIZON: He will need a trip there but if anyone wants to be the person to bring him there for the first time they will get a rare glimpse of the man when he's not weighed down by his memories. Let me know if that interests you otherwise I'm sure I can handwave something.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: yen is a sorceress who has survived some shit to learn how to become powerful and channel the chaos/magic within her. she’s very headstrong and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants, which has included - in the past - playing the Court Life Game. she is very much the type to use people to get where she wants to go and sees it as a means to an end, and yet somewhere under it all is a moral compass that does have her draw the line at children and mothers and those who cannot protect themselves. HOWEVER. some canon updates have happened and yennefer is, because of that, she's also not exactly. in the mood to be super social because of Reasons so she will be fairly distant and icey and defensive. there is SO MUCH about her that is going on rumor wise but, upon first blush, it will not seem like she has the personality/presence that the rumors seem to suggest. she is quick to anger, quick to storm off, quick to yell, but there is a surprising lack of. anything to back it up. c:

Viktor is a scientist-slash-genius engineer-slash-big nerd. He's spent the last few years developing basically magitech, which has not necessarily played out as he would have hoped, with much of his work being co-opted by rich people who are only interested in doing rich people things. He comes off as a fussy academic but is actually an agent of chaos who loves to break rules and do weird science and ponder orbs. Despite his general penchant for putting himself in danger by screwing around with unknown forces he does not fully understand and can't control, he is an idealistic, highly principled individual who believes that the purpose of scientific advancement is to improve lives. He’s soft-spoken but quietly ambitious, intellectually curious, and kind of an obsessive workaholic who is increasingly preoccupied with his own legacy. He's pretty sure becoming a wizard will fix all of his problems.

I have an info and permissions post here and his app is here. Also a general heads up that Viktor is terminally ill—it's vaguely defined but is more-or-less The Consumption™. I don't imagine this will come up frequently (he will probably not actually talk about it) and I plan to content warn accordingly when relevant, but here is a screened opt out if you’d like me to avoid mentioning this in tag meta, etc. or you would rather not interact with him at all.

CR YOU WANT:

✷ Science types, baybe. He’s interested in the Cadens academies and the general scientific goings-on of the city so if there’s anyone who can get him an In, he would be keen on that. Also, you know, people to do weird magitech experiments with?? Technologically-inclined people to mentor???
✷ BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS. He’ll want to make friends with people who can do things that he cannot, like go out on dangerous adventures and acquire exciting resources and bring him cool things. ✷ All of his work involves faking magic via technological methods so he’s actually going to be excited about the real thing. He wants to know 1. how magic here works, and learning it, and combining it with technology 2. about the Singularity and 3. the Horizon’s whole deal. The sooner he takes care of that the sooner he can become a wizard.
✷ Before arriving here Viktor was about to, uh, do some light human experimentation (on himself) with a somewhat questionable magic conduit he built. He is going to try and do this or similar with whatever he can get his hands on around here. He HATES politics but I like the idea of him having to suck it up and align himself with various NPCs or groups or other established PCs that might help him accomplish this, mostly because he doesn't want to die. do NOT judge him for blood magic/dark rituals he knows what he’s doing (no)
✷ He’s going to be incredibly obsessed with how Cadens is, like, right on the cusp of a bunch of technological breakthroughs and he’ll be interested in moving those along, especially if said breakthroughs have obvious humanitarian benefits. The hope is to get him established in the Cadens academia/inventor scene, because, you know, that is what he is good at.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Sephiroth hails from before his arrival at Nibelheim — in other words, before he took up the role of the game’s villain. He’s a SOLDIER (basically a super soldier) that works for a corrupt power company sucking the planet dry of its life force. He grew up in laboratory conditions, trained all his life for war, is unknowingly part eldritch alien (long story), and has magnificent hair. He’s aloof and a little intimidating at first glance, but not necessarily unfriendly, only unskilled in extended social interactions. He collects few friends, but when he does, he loosens up just a little in their company.
CR YOU WANT:

—friends?? laughs, please… he needs them
—individuals who feel “other”, or who don’t quite fit in due to extraordinary circumstances. This is a good shortcut towards the eventual friendship category

—found family is a big one, though it would probably be a long-term goal. A big part of Sephiroth’s character revolves around a lack of belonging, and this would be a nice thing to fulfill for him someday!

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Ronan is an eco-terrorist from rural Appalachia who is the foreordained catalyst of the apocalypse. He can take anything out of his dreams and make it real — an ability he no longer keeps secret. In Thorne, he's gained a reputation as a brave hero who's been loyal to the High Mage from the start. He was recently awarded the title of Venerable for his role in restoring the Singularity's power. It's common knowledge that anyone at the castle can seek him out to have their wishes granted, though he has an unapproachable demeanor that intimidates even the people who admire him. CHARACTER INFORMATION: steve rogers (captain america) is a super soldier from his world that has most recently helped fight a far off alien psychopath who tried to cull more than half the planet's population. he's a man born and raised in the 40s but due to a flight accident, is recovered in ice decades later and forced to become a hero and a fighter in a world he doesn't necessarily know to be his own. he's a strong, empathetic, leader type - he will help anyone in need and will take charge if he has to. but please also make his brain hurt with time and space shenanigans.

CR YOU WANT: as steve is new to this place, any cr is welcome! give him people who can teach him new things, help him understand the politics of the world their in. equally, he will naturally want to take any and all under his wing and teach what he knows to those who need more help. some people might not like that, and steve is incredibly stubborn, so i'm ALWAYS down for negative CR as well. give him some challenges to overcome!

he will effectively begin rallying the troops and building a team whether he means to or not. but other fighter/soldier types would be interesting - differences in practice and experiences.

- seriously give him friends or people to care for. steve functions best when he feels he has a purpose and he's going to feel a little lost for a while.
- anyone who is politically driven, or interested in digging around in the dirt for more info. steve is going to put his nose where it shouldn't be. he's going to be extremely suspect of cadens, the training grounds, and the general atmosphere.
- he's going to have eleventy-billion questions about the singularity, cadens technology, machines, everything. please come get in trouble with him as he snoops around where he shouldn't be.

FACTION: Thorne (oh noooo)

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Dante is a half-demon (don't worry about it) half-human monster hunter who looks like he's just hit his mid-life crisis. He tries a little too hard at being cool which also makes him not cool, yet somehow he rounds that 360 back into being a little cool if you squint. He likes to wear red and may not have showered recently but that's probably because his hot water was turned off. He is never without a snarky quip that is mostly for his own amusement but is that trope of being kind of a softie on the inside. Kids love him and they shouldn't, but maybe they understand him because he also doesn't want a bed time and to survive on cake and pizza. Also you can stab him a lot and he won't die. Go ahead and try it!

CR YOU WANT: He's brand new so really ANYTHING! Please accost him in Thorne and in Horizon. I do like it when he incidentally ends up playing dad!uncle to younger peeps so I'm definitely down for that. Also people his own age to chill with and, of course, people to annoy. He's definitely going to upset someone.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

➤ I put him in Thorne specifically because it's somewhere he won't want to be, so either people who want to encourage him to do the magical nerd thing or people who can lament with him that being a nerd is lame.
➤ Any other characters with extra special abilities. (He has demonic powers.)
➤ Other characters who hunter monsters and fight shit for a living! (Bonding?)
➤ Women to boss him around. This is just a recurring theme that I need to keep in his life.
➤ Ultimately Dante isn't really the sort of research and gather kind of guy, he's a "I've been called in because something that got nasty needs to be taken care of" person. So he needs to team up with people who have those missing skills!
➤ People to eat with.
