There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

Upcoming modplot will be announced on the OOC community, signal boosted on Plurk and listed on the Calendar! Please be aware that Event #6, scheduled for the 18th of this month, will offer opportunities for characters from different factions to meet up in a (mostly, and temporarily) friendly environment...

ABOUT YOU: HELLO I never know what to say here!! I’m Jen and I work as an artist in a local screen printing shop. I’m deep into the trenches of MCU and Final Fantasy in general, though I enjoy a multitude of fandoms. I play a lot of video games!! I’m big into rpgs, fighting games, and Soulsborne hell, but I’ll give everything a try! If anyone else is excited for Elden Ring please come to me so I can yell at you. I don’t update plurk a lot but feel free to add me if you want.

Sephiroth (FFVII)

CHARACTER NAME: Sephiroth
CANON: Final Fantasy VII
SIGN: The Tower
FACTION: Free Cities

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Sephiroth hails from before his arrival at Nibelheim — in other words, before he took up the role of the game’s villain. He’s a SOLDIER (basically a super soldier) that works for a corrupt power company sucking the planet dry of its life force. He grew up in laboratory conditions, trained all his life for war, is unknowingly part eldritch alien (long story), and has magnificent hair. He’s aloof and a little intimidating at first glance, but not necessarily unfriendly, only unskilled in extended social interactions. He collects few friends, but when he does, he loosens up just a little in their company.
CR YOU WANT:
—other military-minded individuals
—friends?? laughs, please… he needs them
—individuals who feel “other”, or who don’t quite fit in due to extraordinary circumstances. This is a good shortcut towards the eventual friendship category
—sparring partners
—anyone who needs a swordsman for stabby reasons

—found family is a big one, though it would probably be a long-term goal. A big part of Sephiroth’s character revolves around a lack of belonging, and this would be a nice thing to fulfill for him someday!
—people he can hold a grudge against, or otherwise highlight some of his subtly more unflattering qualities (obsessive, ruminating, stubborn)
CR YOU DON'T WANT:
—NONE… right now, I am open to literally everything. He might take a bit to warm up to some characters, but I’m willing to give it all a try
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Hoping to rise in the ranks of the military, be the dps role in any mission needed, killing some monsters, figuring out his role in this new world!!

Emet-Selch is in Solvunn so they'd probably have to meet up in the Horizon (or over the network), but Emet has experience with both creating and serving in various sorts of military and as an ancient sorcerer with literally millennia of experience under his belt, he'd be more than able to stand up to Sephiroth if he wanted a sparring partner... and could convince Emet into doing so.

Sephiroth won’t say no to sparring partners, especially when he’s new! He’s going to be seeking out the familiar at first, and what’s more familiar than a constant state of training?

If he can convince Emet of it, then he’d probably be impressed with his ability to keep up, too!! Which would permanently etch him into his “people of interest” category, lucky him!!

I am SAD to inform you that Sephiroth knows squat about horses! The only horse he’s aware of in his world is six-legged, kind of magical one, and it isn’t exactly common… alas. They have chocobos though!!

Obviously this means that Ciri is also going to show him how horses work to complete the trifecta. He’ll consider it a part of his continued training lmao

Hello sparring partners and swords, yes please. Zhou Zishu isn't quite military but getting into the training mindset might be one of the few things around here that makes any sense to him.

Absolutely! Is Zhou Zishu in Cadens? If not, we could have them meet up in the Horizon for some sparring!

Tower sons unite?!

Okay, but I actually think these two would be potentially funny together. Wen Kexing is seen as the worst of the worst in his canon--he is one of the protagonists, but his social position is a villain to society. He was raised in a lawless outcast group so actually he's sort of given to picking at people's flaws and raw spots, and because he's from the end of the series, he's softened from trying to weaponize that toward more teasing and somewhat nurturing? It could work out for weird friendships!

And that sounds interesting! Sephiroth has a stone cold poker face and it takes a lot to get under his skin, but even he can be worn down with time… especially if someone is going with the teasing angle rather than being outright antagonistic lol. And it sounds like their positions are flipped; Sephiroth is lauded as a hero in his canon. I’d like to see how they get along with time and how they contrast with each other!

Does he hang around anywhere in particular in the city?

Oh I think Sam and Sephiroth would definitely get along after some time’s passed for him to warm up a little. Despite his own… employer, Sephiroth respects people who are steadfast and generally pretty honorable, with a good head on their shoulders. Sam’s military background won’t hurt, either.

Be his friend, he’s in dire need lol

Stephen Strange (MCU)

CHARACTER INFORMATION: A neurosurgeon turned sorcerer. Ex-Sorcerer Supreme who feels the weight of multiversal responsibilities and whose job is to protect Earth’s reality, while sometimes breaking the laws of space-time because, you know. Sometimes you gotta. 90 percent responsible, 10 percent yolo. Stephen is often dry and sarcastic, and constantly Tired, but he is very willing to help those around him and find creative solutions to difficult problems. Not always a people-person, but paradoxically a bleeding heart when it comes to those desperately in need. Intelligent, stubborn, kind of nosy, and committing everyone’s business to memory. A magic nerd!!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Continuing to investigate the Singularity, maybe testing theories on its multiversal connection. Maybe someday finding some magical items in Thorne territory for fun quest-type adventures. Messing with spells that might not go too well for him. Exploring themes of death and time, since that’s a constant for his character.

These two are alike in certain ways. Enough that I feel throwing them in a room and having them mirror each other's rudeness can only lead to something interesting? Jasper's planniong to look into learning about medicine if that's a way to get it started.

Exploring themes of death.

BIG CR SPOILERS!! I pulled Jasper from after he died. Because why not.

HECK YEAH I’m down for it. I can see them being pretty snarky at each other, but also I don’t think Stephen would inherently not get along with Jasper? If Jasper is thinking of rooting out ne’er-do-wells in and around Thorne, maybe we could drum up a situation where he’d need to escort Stephen to such a place for [insert a reason here].

But besides that, he’d be willing to help with anything medical related, or even magical, too. Stephen’s been focusing on healing magic, so that works out well in our favor.

POOR JASPER THOUGH yeah he knows a thing or two about dying, as well. I’d love to delve deep into a conversation centered around that if they get to that point!

So I'm offering a non-magic nerd who needs a magic nerd for his lack of magic nerding. But he is good at sarcasm and being judged.

Oh mannn I bet Dante would try the heck out of Stephen’s patience LMAO… I need this. Please give it to me. I was going to make a joke about two red themed characters but I can’t actually decide if Stephen is red or blue themed so NVM…

Dante would you like to ACTUALLY learn some magic, Stephen can teach what he’s been reading non-stop practically since his arrival. I think if he can get past the exasperated stage with him, he’d see some admirable traits under the surface!!

ALSO since I have you here… I need to bother Himeka with one of my dudes. Maybe a Horizon meet up? Sephiroth still needs to wander in like an amnesiac for his first go of it.

Thancred is required to have at least one magical nerd friend so Stephen, here we go. 8) That being said, he'd probably be interested to discuss the Singularity with him once he gets a better sense of what it is and its importance.

ALSO want to grab Seph sometime but that can wait for Horizon or inter-faction shenanigans, I imagine!

He will convert you to the nerd team, Doctor Waters. Just you wait!! Soon you might even have some academic magic under your belt! But yes, Stephen will hopefully be approaching the Singularity from a theoretically multiversal standpoint soon, and he’d definitely tell Thancred about it.

AS FOR SEPHIROTH, I’m forever impatient and I would love to do a Horizon run-in thread! I don’t have anything set up for mine just yet, but I can link you when I do! OR I can run to yours when it’s convenient.

i'm laughing at the way wanda and sephiroth's cr will (initially) be more positive than hers and stephen's WHAT DOES HE WANT. that being said, you know i'm here for other'd cr with sephiroth, and some kind of tdm-esque meeting with dr strange. we'll figure it out.... hahah
