There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

Upcoming modplot will be announced on the OOC community, signal boosted on Plurk and listed on the Calendar! Please be aware that Event #6, scheduled for the 18th of this month, will offer opportunities for characters from different factions to meet up in a (mostly, and temporarily) friendly environment...

Magitek, you say? Emet-Selch here is responsible - in large part - for the development of FFXIV's version of magitek and would be more than willing to talk tech besides! The only real problem is that he's in Solvunn, which means it's have to be over the network, or in the Horizon, whenever Viktor manages to get there.

HEXTECH BABY....I know Emet mostly through osmosis but suffice to say I am eyes emoji at the potential similarities. Viktor will probably want to compare notes because he is a nerd

Horizon is no problem! He is probably going to like it there so I am sure we can figure out a meeting as soon as he finds his way in

I am completely canonblind, but yessssssssss comparing notes. Also since it looks like he might be at least generally sciencing with Fandaniel, Emet-Selch is familiar with both Fandaniel's work and the overall body of work put out by the civilization that Fandaniel was originally from since uh. he basically created that Empire. So there's that also, if it would be of interest.

And I'll keep an eye out for when he hits the Horizon!

That would also be of interest! He is....not really sure what to think of Fandaniel, he kind of already has the idea that they have Unsurmountable Idealogical Differences but he also knows he can't really afford to make enemies. so. please tell him what the Deal is

Fandaniel is... it's Complicated. And maybe also partially Emet's fault? But he will gladly give Viktor the deets on why Fandaniel is Like That.

In all fairness, I don't think Emet expected (this) Fandaniel to turn out quite as Everything as he did! There have been other Fandaniels previously, and the sense I get from what little canon gives us is that they weren't quite so Full Mad Nihilistic Scientist.
