There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

Upcoming modplot will be announced on the OOC community, signal boosted on Plurk and listed on the Calendar! Please be aware that Event #6, scheduled for the 18th of this month, will offer opportunities for characters from different factions to meet up in a (mostly, and temporarily) friendly environment...

been a while since these two caught up! I'd love to do a thread sometime for them to touch base again! also you can definitely assume that if Sypha's was still working in the theater in December, Ciri's been dragged to see one of her shows by a certain bard lmao

ALSO I am very :eyes: at the magic transcription powers... how does that work? :o

Yes! Absolutely! Ciri should get to see magic being used for fun and cultural enrichment! Sypha's of the growing opinion that mages from the Witcher world take things much too seriously.

/rubs hands together/ so her Horizon-granted ability is called Transcription, and it basically allows her to ink a handful of cantrip-level spells onto someone's skin. Five uses only before the ink fades and needs to be redone. She currently only knows Ray of Frost and Firebolt, because those are equivalentish to her own inherent magic, but as time goes on and she's able to study her friends' abilities (/participate in more plot stuff), she may be able to learn how to develop the appropriate runes-glyphs-symbolism to transcribe something similar to what they can do as well, with player input and permission!

Basically we thought it would be funny if a Speaker were forced to DEVELOP A SYSTEM OF WRITING to utilize magic. Her grandpa's having a fit somewhere on another plane of existence.

oh shit that is very cool!! you know, if the magic is already contained in the spellwork and just has to be released or however magic works, that may actually be a great workaround for ciri and her control issues. depending on what other spells Sypha learns, Ciri might be interested in something like that 👀

Ooooo that is an excellent point! A good plot point could be them working together to pack Ciri's magic into more easily dispensed bullets! We could talk to the mods about that maybe?

In the meantime: Hey, Ciri, you wanna SHOOT FIRE FROM YOUR HANDS?

Yeah!! Maybe she can help Ciri work out something similar to Witcher Signs? Because that would be dope tbh

They should definitely talk about it!!

Ciri might be uh. hesitant about the fireballs until they can try it on something less destructive. Or Sypha might be able to convince her to try it out in the desert together! She's just going to be Unsure because she's afraid of hurting someone (probably sypha) with it if she still can't control it :(

Absolutely, in the open desert. Sypha will point out that she's probably the safest person to practice around, since she can flick any misfires or wrench control of the flame away.
