There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game, which means that players are free to introduce their characters however they would like.

Upcoming modplot will be announced on the OOC community, signal boosted on Plurk and listed on the Calendar! Please be aware that Event #6, scheduled for the 18th of this month, will offer opportunities for characters from different factions to meet up in a (mostly, and temporarily) friendly environment...

ABOUT YOU: hello I'm new to Abraxas. I enjoy the vidya, old 80s action/horror movies, animals, science, ttrpgs. I ride motorcycles and like muscle cars. Sometimes I draw things and sometimes they are RP related. Work in medical with secondish shift hours, EST. I do most of my tags at balls 'o clock but will boomerang when I can! Happy to be here and vibe like an old capybara.

CHARACTER NAME: Samus Aran
CANON: Metroid (post-Dread)
SIGN: Strength
FACTION: Free Cities

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Samus is a Bounty Hunter from space; a jaded, brooding, socially constipated lone wolf type. Cold and taciturn on the outside but secretly soft on the inside, especially for kids and animals. Huge justice boner. Can handle her space booze. Dry sense of humor. Her parents were murdered by a purple people eating space dragon, so she was orphaned and raised space birds and trained to be a great warrior. She joined the space military for a bit then decided rules are for losers. She's genetically enhanced/augmented like a super soldier, got paid to do literal alien genocide, has murdered several clones of herself, and has blown up entire planets/space stations by this point in her career. Has too many dads. She won't have her suit of Iron Man-esque armor here in Abraxas, but her other relevant skills include punching, kicking, being good with guns and picking things up like grapes. Is buff and borderline Amazonian at 6 feet tall. Not so good with tact or smiling. Samus is, however, actually very nice. There's info in her journal if you'd Like To Know More.

CR YOU WANT: ALL KINDS! Positive, negative, platonic, familial, romantic, sexual; anything's great in my book! Generally does well with other bounty hunter/hunter/mercenary/military types, robots/ais, sometimes scientists, and non-human characters. Can grow to be very protective of anyone she cares about.
- Characters who force her to socialize, either intentionally or on accident. Where are you, you mischievous street urchins, flirts, and naughty scallywags?
- Sparring partners, workout pals, booze buddies, sassy banter friends, soft dichotomy friends?
- Nerds. She loves guns and weapons, mech and tech, and she's kind of a closet nerd keeping data logs of all the beasties she's encountered and how to best murder them. Also designs her own space ships and can weld things.
- Accidental mothering/big-sister-ing.
- Antagonistic or morally gray ambiguous rival tension kind of CR? Very sexy.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: I WANT EVERYTHING. Romance (and sex) is difficult/slow-burn for her, but I'm game for anything if chemistry is there! Negative CR/antagonistic is great and I love and want it, though it may take extra effort to maintain with Samus because she's prone to ignore/not engage foolishness unless it's made personal.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
- Right now she's new and establishing and settling. She's absorbing the idea of magic being a thing and not just Different Science. She could probably use with some magic demonstrations to drive that point home.
- She's a natural explorer and will want to explore the natural areas around and between civilizations, and explore the urban jungle as well. She makes for an ideal body guard if anyone else wants to go on an expedition in the dangerous parts of town or out of it.
- I absolutely want her to get dragged into politics!
- Depending on how things go, in the far future she might be interested in building an Abraxas Flavored version of the Power Suit and would need help from other engineers, nerds, smithies, probably magic-wielders, etc.
- Also for far future and depending on how things go, but she recently learned she can [hover spoilers] so exploring that sounds very fun to me, especially maybe in a ~magical energy~ context? Either her learning how to control it better through training or trial and error, or being horrified she can't and learning to live with that sounds tasty.

she would not know how to ride one though. maybe they could go hunting together?

and yes! He's very much a lone wolf but he's hunted with others occasionally when they end up with the same target.

Hey there! Amos here is from The Expanse, a mostly realistic sci-fi canon, so his familiarity with space monsters will be vastly different from hers, buuuut he's familiar with the concept of power armour/is a ship mechanic so just a lot of space tech in general. He is also very much primed for sparring/workout/booze/guns interactions, is also very bad at tact, and also is extremely protective of people he's decided he cares about.

tl;dr they'd probably get along fantastic if we can wrangle something despite the whole different faction thing (and if you want, of course!)

SPACE BROS!!! Yeah they sound really great already, I'm very into it. She can work on mechanical things in so far as needed for survival but it's not her main expertise, so I think she could really appreciate him and his skill set. They should definitely meet somehow!

Oh wonderful! Yeah, mechanics are his livelihood so definitely his main expertise, haha. His fighting style is more street brawler; she'd probably kick his ass. (He wouldn't mind as long as it's friendly competition; he doesn't mind getting stepped on.)

They should! Maybe the next event will open up a possibility, but otherwise, whenever Samus gets to the Horizon she might spot Amos' domain, on account of it being space (I have a mini-description set up in his inbox). I just sent you a plurk request too; looking forward to doing stuff with these two!

i think she'll really get along with sam, and the avian motif definitely grants him some bonus points of respect
