Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.

IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

Character Name: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Other characters involved: Hilda Goneril
Action: Altaïr and Hilda will approach one of the more alert/organized bandit camps near the Badlands in the guise of siblings who were traveling by horse but ended up on foot and desperate after some unfortunate circumstances. A low-level bandit scout will peg them as easy marks and bring them back to camp for "help"/so the bandits can see how much of value they could wring out of the hapless pair. Altaïr and Hilda will play along in hopes that they can spot anything notable within the camp itself (suspicious activities, possessions they might recognize as belonging to missing Summoned, possibly even documents of any kind of they exist/if Altaïr could slip away from where they're brought so he can take a look, really anything that might stick out.)
Thread: Thread
Notes: Altaïr will heavily use his Eagle vision inside the camp on the off-chance he pings a surprise blue or gold.

The bandits do keep the "captives" fed and watered. Their capture sparks an internal argument about whether the bandits should release them or ransom them for gold. You may have the bandits question Altaïr and Hilda about their status as siblings (for example, if they have any wealthy family or patrons), where they came from, and so forth according to what suits your plans. They're reluctant use physical force on Hilda, but eager to do so on Altaïr.
Throughout, the pair can overhear that the bandits have been losing numbers mysteriously. They blame larger, more violent rival camps, but one of the men will insist that there are unnatural forces at play. The others don't seem to believe him.
Due to disorganization and small numbers, Hilda and Altaïr will soon be left at the camp inside rusty cages with the same guard claiming mysterious forces. This guard will display as blue in Altaïr's Eagle vision. He can be convinced to release them, saying that he believes they'll bring further trouble to the camp. However, he will not allow them to search the base, so Altaïr and Hilda will need to distract him or subdue him if they want to look around. They can kill him, as well, but this will anger the bandits much more if they come across his body later.
They can also achieve a similar outcome if they lure the guard close enough to subdue him, then take his keys.
Exploring the camp, they can uncover the following:
1. The bandits have a rough charcoal drawing of this symbol. Compared to the sigils found painted elsewhere, it is not an accurate rendition, implying the bandits may have seen it and tried to copy it rather than using it themselves. Possibly, they are investigating the same trail that the Summoned are.
2. The bandits have a map marking an area by the forested areas near Solvunn's border. It's possible they found something there worth examining.
They'll need to quickly get away after this. Depending on how well-disguised Hilda is, she may be recognized afterwards if the bandits see her again. Altaïr may remain difficult to identify, especially if he wears a different hooded cloak.

Jania and I decided that Hilda and Altair will aim to subdue the guard so that they can have the chance to explore the camp. We might submit a roll request or two, depending on how the thread pans out as well.
We'd also like them to pursue the map lead. If they do follow it, what sort of things can they expect to find there? Also happy to move this into the investigations thread if you'd prefer that for organizations sake.

You can let us know what Altaïr and Hilda will be doing when they reach the area, as well as whether they're investigating immediately following this mission or they're returning another day.
