Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.

IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

Character Name: Jayden, Kell
Action: Jayden and Kell are going to target a pair of Acolytes (just randos, not ones with the special Acolyte), and see if they can grab a mask, to try and figure out if there might be any special about it, any symbols or writing of note on either side, etc etc. The goal isn't really to seriously hurt the Acolytes or anything, so it's going to be more an attempt to just surprise them (preferably through ambushing them if there's an opportunity for that, such as while they're distracted with refreshing the spells, but if not they'll try something like one of them distracting the Acolytes while the other surprises them), get a few temporarily incapacitating hits in, snatch a mask, and retreat.
Thread: Thread
Notes: In addition to the mask itself, trying to get a glimpse of any of the Acolytes' faces is also something they'll be going for.

When they examine the mask later, they will find out that the front looks very plain and there are no holes for visibility. On the backside of the mask there are long sharp prongs sticking out of it. They may not want to try it on themselves.

Since the mask has the sharp prongs, could it potentially be used as a tool or even a weapon if necessary? (Related edit since I just thought of it: could the mask be broken to either isolate the spikes/just split the mask in half?)
Will there be any later appearances of the Acolyte missing their mask, or will all in the future have masks (whether because this one got a new one, isn't around, w/e)?
By the Acolyte's face being 'very strange', does that mean there's anything particularly noteworthy aside from the keyhole eyesockets
which are wonderfully terrible, or is it still mostly just human-ish (not, you know, like cthulhu tentacle face or something)? Thanks again!

No Acolytes will appear without their mask. It will not be possible at this time to tell if he has returned with a new mask or he has vanished forever...but they or someone else may discover his fate later depending on how the situation unfolds.
