IC Exchanges

Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.

Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.

Investigations

Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

Lucifer showed the drawn symbol from Kyle to Lenore in this thread and she suggested it might be one of the minor arcana--her first guess was Ace of Coins (Pentacles). Further research indicates Abraxas does have a minor arcana system, and the symbol has far more resemblance to the page of pentacles, though there are still significant differences:

Thank you, stranger. I have connections to the artists of the Free Cities, and I will look into whether there are particular studies or arts relating to the reversal of Arcana.

NOTES ON ARCANA

A paraphrased note containing info from a conversation with a Thorne mage will be left in the same place:

Regarding Arcana reversals, she explains that this only ever applies to its casting or its reading. For instance, if a card is drawn upside down, it may have an alternate effect or interpretation. The design itself is never inverted. Some variations in artistic style can occur like any symbol, but the core elements in this particular sigil have been altered which is unheard of. This suggests a new meaning altogether has been assigned to it as opposed to artistic liberty.

Lenore adds on to this:

Conversation with Lucifer, he suggested that the warped or corrupted version of the symbol might be intended to wither. We hypothesize that if the original arcana, the Page of Pentacles, boosts spells to aid in growing or healing (perhaps?), then the corrupted version might be used for draining or withering.

He said that the warped version appears on shrines in the pit. I want to see if we can get the original arcana symbol communicated to the captives, and to see if any mages there can cast it upon these shrines as a sort of anti-spell.

Thank you. From my investigations in Cadens, the same was told to me by the scholars there. Parts of the symbol, resembling the Page of Pentacles, are inverted, but others are changed altogether.

From what I have understood in my correspondence with one of the taken, it does, indeed, appear on shrines wherever they are located.

I have no prior knowledge of any sorts of magic involving sigils, but your idea sounds like a sound one to me, if the image can be fully transferred. However, all of my attempts to send word to them have been only partly understood, at best. An entire symbol, considering the accuracy necessary, will... it will certainly be a good sign if it can be done.
