Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.

IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

Character Name: Michael
Other characters involved: Wanda
Action: Wanda and Michael are collecting whatever flesh is deemed necessary for the ritual sacrifice from the list of names the Council provides them with. Any participants on the list who are feeling reluctant to make their donation will be gently persuaded (magically mind controlled) by Wanda to hold still, though Michael will be doing all of the harvesting.
Thread: But first, Michael has to convince Wanda to give him the dagger
Notes: They may opt to erase the memory of their faces from participants, if memory alteration is on the table.

After they've collected the parts, they will be directed to a sacred circle deep in the woods. Commune Elders can guide them. There is no shrine. Instead, a plain offering cauldron awaits. They must deposit each offering piece, light the fire, and wait for the cauldron to boil dry.
Once dried, they can retrieve the object inside - if the gods have answered. In this instance, Wanda and Michael will be given a scrying bowl covered in cobwebs. They can bring it to the Elders who will explain what it is and how to use it. The Elders will also warn them that the old gods do not bestow gifts without a price.
The pair can either:
1. Bring the scrying bowl to a location where one of the Lost were taken to receive a vision of that person's last moments.
2. Use an item belonging to one of the Lost to briefly see through their eyes in real time.
Invoking the ritual requires a token amount of blood from each of them. In exchange, they will each receive one ailment of your choosing for the duration of the event:
1. A spider will sometimes crawl out of an ear or the mouth. This will not be dangerous or painful, just disturbing.
2. They will experience an odd craving for bones, animal or human.
They can decide use the scrying bowl now or save it for Part 2.

They can also give the scrying bowl to another character if they don't want to worsen their own effects. Anyone who wants to use it must offer a flesh sacrifice, though they don't need to harvest it themselves. Wanda and Michael are welcome to provide a pre-harvested appendage. The individual will receive the same choices described previously.

should michael and wanda use the scrying bowl now to see through the eyes of one of the lost ones in real time, can we choose what they'd see in the moment (by discussing with another player), or should we get back to you about it to rng what they get to see?

When using the charm, they won't see directly through Josselyn's eyes. Instead, they'll see through the eyes of the individual to whom the charm belongs. The person appears to be tied down to a stone altar with thorny vines, and their perspective is disorienting. There are several robed Acolytes around, but one in particular wears a less plain robe. Though masked, their hood is down revealing brown hair tied up in a sensible bun.
The unhooded Acolyte will approach the altar, then look straight at Wanda and Michael like they sense someone is watching. They deliberately remove their mask: it is indeed the face of Josselyn Creed. The sharp point of a dagger appears, and the eyes they are scrying through are snuffed out one at a time.
