Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.

Notable Actions

IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

The latter, these days, is perhaps nothing new.]
I'm sure you've noticed one of the Thaumametors spiking in activity. That's us. Yennefer and I have been trying our hands at a locator spell, and the results are...
[He hesitates to say "promising". It sounds almost too hopeful, and he doesn't want to set himself up for disappointment.]
Well, they have potential.

As expected, Stephen gets right to the point. ]
I had a feeling you were up to something.
[ His grouchiness isn't reserved for Stephen. ]
It was only because you weren't found at the Castle that we didn't raise the alarm.
[ Ambrose crosses his arms. ]
So you found something.

We're not trying to cause a stir. But I'm sure you can understand why the Summoned are treating this with a special kind of urgency. [The kind that requires them to sometimes take liberties with, ah, what may or may not be allowed. To be fair, Stephen does not think they overstepped too far with the use of the thaumametor system.]
But yes. We did find something. It's a location, even if it's just a general one. When I altered the spell to focus heavily on one individual instead of many, and we decided to put the thaumametors into play, the signal bounced back from the northeastern coasts of Thorne's territory.
Does that area have any special significance?
no subject
And secrecy, yes, until we can weed out any traitors in our midst.
[ He works with the full authority as the High Mage but there is a reason he has an inner circle. If there were any actors in Thorne that played into the disappearance of the Summoned, Ambrose will see that they meet justice.
To Stephen's findings, his frown deepens. ]
Northeastern coasts...
[ There's a short pause as he strokes his beard. ]
Endsmuth lies to the northeast. Are you familiar? It's a settlement of outcasts, built on the backs of Thoreans who refused to acknowledge our magic. I would laugh at the notion that they had resources to pull off a sudden abduction of our Summoned let alone that of other nations so easily. They would need that selfsame magic that they refuse to participate in. No, no... Endsmuth. No one speaks of Endsmuth these days.
no subject
[Which, of course, anyone keeping track in the castle would know. No record of Stephen having ventured into that settlement of outcasts, supposedly.]
You think maybe they're holding some kind of operation out of Endsmuth, though? Laying low where others might not go looking?
[Unlikely, but he has to ask.]
no subject
[ Though he gives the notion it's due consideration, Ambrose eventually shakes his head. ]
Unlikely. The people of Endsmuth wouldn't entertain harboring a fringe group bent on waging war on all of Abraxas, which is essentially what they're doing by kidnapping Summoned all over the realm, isn't it? But there are acres of land that have gone uncharted in that area. The wouldn't need to go to Endsmuth to stay hidden.
