Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.

IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

Character Name: wanda maximoff
Request: given a lot of talk relating to illusory spells being used in the place potentially keeping the lost, talk of high magic (with alucard in particular), and techniques to 'break' forms of high magic different from solvunn's, wanda would want to ask the mages in solvunn to teach her/instruct her on as many elements of high magic as they can spare. or to guide her to any reading she can do on the matter.
she is basically trying to find a way of implementing high magic into her own chaos magic, to an extent, without having to constantly appeal to a god for 'a blessing', or having a charm made specifically for said blessing.
basically, she wants to cram for the final exam. i want to give her the ic task of studying the intricacies of high magic for whatever amount of time before part 2. i can slide into part 2 later for an rng roll of how much she's learned or is capable of implementing into her own magic. lmao me hoping this request makes sense

Further studying will reveal the name of an Old God known as Soris Immaneus. She is a patron of dark blessings, and is invoked during times of strife for her protection against even darker troubles. Wanda can create a pact by feeding the god her chaos magic, which will allow the two forms of magic to merge.
Wanda can make one of two choices:
1. She can go to the Council and propose her idea. Due to her standing in the commune and the dire circumstances, they'll allow her to make a pact with the god as long as the pact is dissolved afterwards. This means the magic granted to Wanda will be less powerful, as a temporary pact carries less meaning to the Old Gods.
2. Wanda can go ahead and do this on her own. She can learn enough to find the shrine and appeal to the god herself. This pact will grant her greater power, but she will not be able to break it without consequences. From hereon, she will have a patron god that she is tied to, one that may not like it when she interacts with or makes offerings to the other gods.

for now that's as much as she'll worry to study; after the event she'll venture into learning more about this old god.
1. are the kinds of regular sacrifices/offerings that soris immaneus expects the usual, or is there a specific kind she prefers?
2. does soris immaneus have a specific set of powers to bestow, or do they fall under the category of 'old gods powers' when using high magic?

2. You can give us a few examples of the type of magic or powers you're interested in Wanda receiving based on the god's theme of dark blessings. If there's also a particular goal you have for her to accomplish during Part 2, you can also let us know. We can workshop the details with you from there and any limits that might need to apply.
