Mod Communications / Randomization
If you have something you want to do related to the event plot, you can communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting large resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission to proceed. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!
You can also use this section to request a randomized mod roll.

Interactions
Several interactions are available. For Part 2, there are fewer mysteries to uncover, but plenty to interact with to see what happens. You can interact with something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Note that interactions might carry IC consequences, though we'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something. To interact, fill out the form, then comment under the corresponding item.
Interact
IC Exchanges
Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

I don't think we've got much to lose. She doesn't have much reason to be tryin' to make a deal unless she genuinely needs our help.
[After all, the Acolytes have basically all the power here. It seems pointless to be offering a fake deal to let them out when they could presumably just open the door at any time, so it makes more sense for the offer to be genuine. Whether or not that means they should uphold it, or if they might be able to use any doubts the other Acolytes might be having to their advantage, remains to be seen but at this point they're running out of options.]

We've plugged up the holes for now, but water's still getting through. I don't think we have the luxury of turning her down. If it gets us out of this room...
[ Well, it's a chance worth taking in his opinion. ]

[ Istredd nods to Jayden and to Steve. They're on the same page. They don't have time to waste anymore. While he'd really like to tear apart most of them, making deals at this point seems the least of their problems.]
I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are starting to realize helping us might be their only way out of this.

[Definitely on the same page; they really can't stay here like this. But if they can at least find out how many Acolytes are left, how many they might need to be helping subdue, and how many Acolytes might then turn on them after using them against their enemies, they'll have a better chance at making something out of this.]

[ Steve doesn't know what drove these people to this point, that they would be willing to abduct a large group of people and essentially torture them (sometimes to the point of death). But if some of them are reconsidering whether this was actually a good idea, they need to capitalize on that. ]

Second thoughts about what they've gotten themselves into's different from second thoughts about what they've done.
[It's a minor distinction, and ultimately doesn't matter in terms of the overall plan, but it might be important to keep in mind when to comes to how to approach the whole thing. An appeal to empathy is not likely to be very effective here, considering what the Acolytes have done so far, and having much faith in the idea that any of them might be genuinely seeing the error of their ways as opposed to just being desperate could be a dangerous mistake.]

We can deal with that later. If this is our only chance at leaving this room, we'd be foolish not to take it.
[ anything for progress. the cavern's structure is clearly failing and the longer they wait around deliberating, the further it degrades. the water's rising, and nothing either group's done - summoned or acolytes - has stopped that. ]
I agree with Istredd. We're likely their only way out of here alive. They must realize a rescue team is approaching too.

[ It looks like they're all on the same page now. ]
Next time she comes to the door, I'll talk with her and see what we can work out.

[You know, between the corpses, and the water, and the bone boy waiting to snatch anyone who wanders too far. And the company -- none of them exactly got a sunny disposition to keep anyone else's feelings lifted.]
At this point, I don't give a shit how many of them get away. We shouldn't. Worse comes to worse, we find them when we can. What's more important is getting everyone in this room out of here. Especially the ones who can't do it alone.
[He pauses.] And if anything, their group will take care of them for helping us, anyway. I bet they know that, too.

Still, Steve thinks they're all tenacious too, and that they'll be ready for whatever comes of this acolyte's offer.
When Nero speaks up, Steve finds himself in total agreement. Getting everyone out of here alive is priority number one. ]
My guess is that the Summoned on their way here might round up a few of the acolytes for questioning, if anything. [ Or worse. He can only assume a lot of them are out for blood at this point. ] We just need to try and make sure we can all get above ground before this entire cavern floods.

And while he'd typically weigh in on the issue of the Acolytes in terms of what might or might not happen after a theoretical rescue or escape, right now they have very little control over that. They'll just have to deal with what happens as it happens, and that's assuming anyone's left alive at that point.
So Jayden just nods, convinced they're all on the same page enough that, at least for now, he's willing to go along with whatever's decided upon.]
