Mod Communications / Randomization
If you have something you want to do related to the event plot, you can communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting large resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission to proceed. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!
You can also use this section to request a randomized mod roll.

Interactions
Several interactions are available. For Part 2, there are fewer mysteries to uncover, but plenty to interact with to see what happens. You can interact with something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Note that interactions might carry IC consequences, though we'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something. To interact, fill out the form, then comment under the corresponding item.
Interact
IC Exchanges
Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

all he knows is that he purposely is keeping away from people when he can. the effects of having escaped are fresh visuals and the presence of the shrine monster he felt pass him left a lingering apprehension in the back of his mind. he’s been trying to rebuild his mind in a sense, so he won’t pick up what others are thinking.
i’m cold. i’m hungry. i hate this. what’s going on? when are we getting out? fuck everyone. is that blood on— snippets of thoughts that drew him to ends of the cave until he saw the snowy mountains in the distance. meditating, one can call it. he decides to sit at the edge, to see if he can sense what’s out there, has been occasionally. the rays filtering though the clouds linger near his feet, indicating it is still daylight. he barely slept. he’s alone, since it is technically warmer deeper in the cave.
what he doesn’t get used to is the reach of the network, when it goes on blast for everyone in radius. is it always so intrusive? at least he can listen in. }

Once they locate one patch of wayward souls, the others aren't far off. He sniffs the air, searching for a scent to follow, and ignores the handwriting scrawled across the frosted ground. Lets Aloy confirm their arrival. The way it looks, it'll be dark before long. He'll decide whether to hike through the night or not. Depends on who else they find, what condition they're in.
The smoke catches his attention first—the sort that often comes from burning wood that's not the driest. The smell of it is distinct, and soon he can see it, too.
He ducks under a rocky ledge, stepping into the cave. (More fucking tunnels.) Sylvain's scarlet hair is a beacon in the snow. Claude is beside him. Then—hm. Oh. Him. Didn't realize he was with them, though from the distance Louis has placed between, perhaps the vampire isn't with them at all. Geralt can understand the inclination.
His and Aloy's arrival is marked with an unceremonious, ] This is all of you?

Relaying the news to Claude, the pair of them wait, huddled near one of the fires just inside one of the cave entrances, tucked back out of the way enough that the wind from beyond didn't reach them. He doesn't know how far the other group got out from where they were now, but he still jumps a little when Geralt suddenly just appears out of nowhere, muttering a startled little curse under his breath. ]
Goddess. We definitely need to get you a bell. [ A glance around the cave as he nods. ] Most of us. There are a few more natives tucked a little deeper in, but we wanted to keep an eye on the entrance.
[ He leans forward enough to peer out at the sky before glancing between the others. ] Does it make more sense to make camp here until dawn or do you think we need to keep moving before then? There's some wounded among the natives who aren't going to be moving real fast.

[ On the plus side: being here for a while means that no one should - theoretically - be heading out in clothing wet from anything more than falling snow during the trek back. That does leave the problem of when to depart and Claude considers what to give as his input with his brow furrowed. ]
It'd probably be best to give the very wounded some added time to get ready or even to give them a head start if we want to leave in shifts.
[ If that's even feasible. Aloy and Geralt know much more about the state of what's waiting for them out there, so he glances to them next. ]
The Summoned here can probably do well enough. Neither of us are strangers to wandering around in less than ideal conditions, but how difficult will it be for everyone else?
i'm just gonna scooch right on in here...
he's one of the people claude leaves back with the others when he heads to the front of the cave, but when he starts to hear other familiar voices, it's enough to push him (a bit unsteadily) to his feet. he's freezing, beyond freezing, and leaving the fire isn't exactly his ideal state, but he makes his way there all the same, emerging from the cave behind claude and wiping away from of the glitter from his tunic before he comes to an abrupt stop. ]
Geralt? Aloy?
[ and then, realizing they're all in the middle of a conversation and feeling minorly like he's interrupted something, he glances back into the cave, catching sight of louis off to the edge. ] The others inside can pack up pretty quick, but it's going to be hard to convince them to leave the hot spring.

[She recognizes Steve's voice, and responds with some relief. The more competent hands they have, the better, especially when it's unclear how many are injured. Yes, it might be tempting to remain in the shelter of the cave, but that will just make them more vulnerable, in the end.
Aloy shakes her head.]
It won't be long before the acolytes come after us. Our best chance is to keep moving.

he considers when to appear. he rises and walks over to the group, and there he notices geralt from their brief encounter - the boulder enthusiast, if he recalls. }
I agree. How far is your group? Moving soon as you can is best. I can catch up when it's dark. If there are any acolytes behind you, I can distract them away from following further to my best efforts.
{ louis surprises himself to the spontaneous offer of such responsibility, but he has no choice. their options are limited. the cover of the dark is more dangerous, but to someone like him, he'd be able to navigate it as a nocturnal touched. what he fears won't match to the wild animals out there. he's capable. besides, the solitude might do him good before he encounters what could be a sizable group if he can guess. more had to have made it out. }

His hand lands on Steve's shoulder, a genuine greeting, before he nods to confirm Aloy's statement. ]
They'll have to leave it. [ Can't stay here forever, tempting as it might be. ] We're northwest. Two, three hours. [ Perhaps longer depending on the strength of the group. ] Stay close, you'll be fine.
[ As for the vampire—he doesn't question it. Seems Louis takes after the vampires of Ikorr, avoiding the sun. If Louis says he can catch up, Geralt takes his word for it. Could likely follow their scent well enough if his senses have returned. ]
If you're last to follow after dark, you can disguise our tracks.

To Louis, ] Are you sure you don't want backup?
[ Still, he takes a step towards Steve and the passageway he'd just stepped from. ] We can help them get packed up with anything they can't leave behind and get moving. Some of them have supplies we may need. But some of them are definitely going to be reluctant to leave shelter and the fires. [ He can't even blame them right now. Many of them aren't even completely dry yet.
He picks up on the sense of urgency from Geralt and Aloy, however, and casts them a nod before ducking down the tunnel to do just that. ]

Well, at least we're only going on a short hike. [ Humor's obviously going to help here, but with everything looking so grim and the reality of that 'hike' being more arduous than that with everyone in tow, it's important to keep spirits up. That's familiar enough to him from facing down past missions, and it's how Claude's going to treat this. ] Or so we can tell everyone reluctant to go to make sure they come with and without hanging around. I'll work on helping those with worse injuries and we'll send them up as they're ready to familiar faces to start heading out.
[ With a nod to Steve, being the other familiar face besides Louis up here of those who've been in the cave the whole time, and then he's off to round up those others as promised to return as soon as he can himself. ]
no subject
Luckily, Aloy is used to that. She'll leave the diplomacy of convincing the rest of the group, and work on the journey ahead.]
We'll find shelter along the way. Promise them that they'll be safe with us.

louis' expression eases on purpose when he answers sylvain's question and turns to him. }
I'll be easier to disguise the footsteps if I go alone. I will catch up, I give you my word. { he then turns towards claude and follows in his direction, intending to also help others to prepare. his voice will overlap as he has stepped away. } I'll help you prepare. Easier with two hands. Have you considered giving them an uplifting speech?
{ a callback to steve rogers. he's only partly playing into it, knowing he'll have to adapt and be approachable if people intend to consider moving forward. it's been a long time since he's exercised his social muscles. claude might have the right reason. he'll have to trust the process as they make it their own. }

And he does not know this area well enough to understand its dangers. Which means he's treating it as though there are a dozen things ready to eat them at a moment's notice. ]
Tell them they can come with us or chance the frozen nights on their own with the wolves. They have a minute to decide. Then we leave.
[ That's their uplifting speech. He's not interested in burning daylight over some stubbornness, and he doesn't care to cajole anyone out of the cave. ]
no subject
Steve's way better at that! I think you might need to work on that some more.
[ And then he ducks back out of sight to go scurrying down the tunnel to gather the other natives before Geralt can turn around and murder him or something. What? He can totally do that with a look, Sylvain is pretty sure. Besides. Apparently they only have a minute to get moving and he's not about to test the man's patience on that. ]
no subject
There's some back and forth when it gets down to the last few people like he'd expected, since while this cave isn't exactly ideal leaving known shelter behind is a big ask. But it'll be easier for the rescue efforts to locate them, which is what he keeps repeating to the man he's escorting to the front who's still protesting even when they come to a halt. ]
See? People headed out to meet up with the other group just as promised. Follow behind them and keep the leaders in sight.
[ It's less a suggestion than a command disguised in a friendly voice as he stops halfway to the cave's entrance to send his complaining companion on his way. If there's other Summoned leading out the Abraxans, he'll stay there to guide them towards where they need to go before bringing up the last of the group to depart. ]

She waits patiently for Claude to do what he needs--and it's heartening that others seem to find them, their group steadily growing until it seems the job is done.]
Is this everyone?
