State of the Game

June - July (2023)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions.

The Summoned Conclave is hosted in the comments section of each State of the Game. We'll provide the structure. Players are not obliged to participate, but we encourage you to do so! See here for details.

We'll be requesting more creature submissions in the following days - with different criteria than the previous round. Stay tuned!

Summoned Conclave

Representatives | LINK

New representatives must be chosen this meeting. Any Summoned who want to hold their current positions need to resubmit their bid.

Motions Sanctioned | LINK

Motions from April's meeting have been passed for each faction. Thorne now has a permanent portal open to Borrel, at no cost or fee. The Free Cities has agreed to try and negotiate for the Summoned to return and investigate the sunken island used by the Acolytes.

World Events

Feywilds | Link
The Summoned were exclusively invited to visit the Feywilds, without the presence of any faction officials. There, they were able to explore the unknown land, speak to the Fey, and attend a grand Masquerade at the end of the week.

Rifts | Link
Strange rifts have opened up around Abraxas, both in and out of towns. Unusual creatures have come through these rifts, including those that the Summoned might recognize from their home worlds. To date, the rifts are still opening.

Links & Reasoning firstly, she's doing this because rocket agreed to volunteer if she also takes the plunge. secondly, wanda's been around abraxas for almost two years and has a pretty good idea of how things work. not only that, but her skill in magic, her interactions with the faction officials at different points in time, and her more recent pact with an old god have put her in a bit of a favorable light as far as the commune is concerned. she gets along with other summoned from solvunn + other factions, and has been part of the unofficial welcome committee.

"Yeah, all right." Rocket clears his throat and gets to his feet, nose twitching. "So a couple of roommates of mine put me up to this —" YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE (Himeka + Wanda!!!) "— but while I'm here, I might as well say somethin'."

He'll explain that back home he's captain of a ship (only a mild twist on the truth because technically that is, indeed, true), and regularly protects the planets and the plants and the animals (and people, he'll add people) on those planets. He was also genetically enhanced to be something of a genius and engineer, and as such he'd be able to oversee a lot of helpful improvements for the commune to make their lives easier and more comfortable. (He wisely does not add, 'for a price.')

"And if anything, I'll make sure all the damned goats here stand a fighting chance against weird creepy limbed monsters. 'Cause apparently that happens too."

And that's ... that's his spiel. (Sorry. He's terrible at this.)
