State of the Game

June - July (2023)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions.

The Summoned Conclave is hosted in the comments section of each State of the Game. We'll provide the structure. Players are not obliged to participate, but we encourage you to do so! See here for details.

We'll be requesting more creature submissions in the following days - with different criteria than the previous round. Stay tuned!

Summoned Conclave

Representatives | LINK

New representatives must be chosen this meeting. Any Summoned who want to hold their current positions need to resubmit their bid.

Motions Sanctioned | LINK

Motions from April's meeting have been passed for each faction. Thorne now has a permanent portal open to Borrel, at no cost or fee. The Free Cities has agreed to try and negotiate for the Summoned to return and investigate the sunken island used by the Acolytes.

World Events

Feywilds | Link

The Summoned were exclusively invited to visit the Feywilds, without the presence of any faction officials. There, they were able to explore the unknown land, speak to the Fey, and attend a grand Masquerade at the end of the week.

Rifts | Link

Strange rifts have opened up around Abraxas, both in and out of towns. Unusual creatures have come through these rifts, including those that the Summoned might recognize from their home worlds. To date, the rifts are still opening.

A mysterious monster is now prowling the Settlements with a distinct vendetta against goats. No one knows where this monster came from, though whispers say it emerged from the woods through the will of the gods.

An altercation breaks out during the Masquerade involving Nero, Lucifer, and Rocket, much to the Fey's delight. The three are eventually separated.

A shark-like figure may have been noticed interjecting in order to guess all attendees' costumes.

May have been overheard asking questions about the Singularity and the Free Cities. They were additionally involved in the pardon of Marc Creed.

Character Name Claude von Riegan
Links & Reasoning This time comes with a shorter recap of his reasons for nominating himself from his last bid, including the mention of his prior history in leading the Alliance from home as reasoning for being familiar with working with governments.

Here's no exception, as with a nod towards Sam mentioning their accomplishments and what's still pending that review by Portam Hall, Claude agrees also that it's for the best they continue to work together. That includes the Summoned most of all, of course, and seeing what can be done to improve their lives while here if not also assisting those around Cadens who need it. Claude mentions that's part of what he's been doing lately and whether he stays on or not for this time around, his hope would be that whoever is part of the Conclave also continues that work and he's happy to support anyone who steps forward.
