Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-faction CR here! Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ You can review the newsletter here, which includes a Conclave meeting for all Summoned. New arrivals may participate!

◎ The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 15th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 17th. This month's event will include a separate investigation related to Event #12 and a winter celebration across all major nations.

IC INFORMATION

CHARACTER NAME: Istredd
CANON: The Witcher
SIGN: The High Priestess
FACTION: Thorne

CHARACTER INFORMATION: The nerdiest of nerds! Istredd is a psionic mage from the Witcher world who is a researcher and archaeologist. He has some previous knowledge of the multiverse and conduits/teleportation to other spheres so he is very focused plot-wise on the Singularity and the big picture concerns about how this world impacts others. He's very involved in the magical and theoretical plots of this place, including the gods and such.

Outside of that, Istredd's a leader-ish person within Thorne as a teacher of magic for newbies, especially other Summoned. He helps throw a Thorne mingle to get newbies used to the Horizon/network/whatever. He is also a beginner's magic teacher for Summoned and young mages. His Horizon is a very cool giant library where people can fill in their own books. If you look at the comments, he has added public information about the game history and details that might be of interest to your character. This is public! So your character can easily find it.

He's an introvert and doesn't feel natural with big social situations and yet he's managed to force himself into it a few times, throwing Horizon meet ups to talk to the others. He's a firm believer that they're all in this together. He is seen constantly with his boyfriend Lucifer, they're a package deal in Thorne.

CR YOU WANT: Anything you want! He can teach you magic, talk about the mysteries of the world, or flail at you about the Singularity. He loves theorizing.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Nothing I can think of right now!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Istredd is very protective and interested in the Singularity where he will be returning to this month with Sabine and Kyle, but that is private. He likes to talk about it and also about the gods. He's a big information gatherer. He is going to be returning to cult island this month.

YES let's do it! You could always have her wander into his Horizon domain if you want to? Or she can go on the burn the island adventure later this month.

the idea of her stumbling into his horizon is hoenstly very cute but i'm not entire sure how they work?

Okay so it's like a psychic plane that you can meditate to go into. And then people have created any kind of 'domain' they want. Your character can walk around and see everyone's if they want. Istredd's looks like a lighthouse on the outside and a book tower in the inside. So if Esme wanted to do a copy of anything she considered home back there, she can do that, or a whole new house/apartment/treehouse/whatever you think she'd enjoy

oh word maybe they could meet up accidentally in the horizon and then we can see if something works for the event and they can meet in person so to speak

hello there I would very selfishly love to have CR with both julia and istredd ahh julia's tdm thread with river is very sweet (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀) I've also talked with dai about yen helping river learn magic so it would be excellent for her to follow istredd too! two nerds in different ways, and I do want river to study the singularity, although mostly for... touching it purposes aha but yes both or either would be amazing ;;;

Yes! Also he's a telepath so if you want, sometimes the telepaths around here have like a moment where they recognize each other because of that little psychic tingle. If you want her to feel something different about him because of that, she def can, and even poke at his mind and he'll poke back. Whatever you think she'd prefer.

And yes I would love a reason for Julia and River to have that kind of sweet CR again, maybe they can meet in Nocwich?

oh man having her meet other telepaths would be great. canon doesn't really suggest there are other mind-readers so it would be really fun to see how she might respond to him! he seems so cool and collected, how does he do it!!

I'm thinking I'll drop river on the thorne log and then make a separate thing for nocwich encounters if you might like to toss julia at her there! c:

Feel free in our thread for River to detect something weird with his brain/she can't pierce it the same way/react to another telepath, if you feel like it!

But yes link when you put something up and I'll throw Julia at her again! I also have a catch-all here for Julia with a Nocwich prompt!

since the tdm said it would take about a week for their powers to return, I'm giving her a grace period that should honestly help with having smoother introductions to people aha but he could probably pick up on the way her mind is wide open with no defenses, even more starkly than other humans. and if they talk about it, she'd be so curious to see what it's like later on!
